Being from the metro Detroit area where a haircut alone costs $50, I thought wow, what a great deal, I'll get my hair done. I have very thick and heavy hair and I asked the stylist to give me some layers and just lighten things up. We decided on some highlights. The haircut looked okay at first, I was okay with it when I left. However, my layers started to look weird. They were uneven and just didn't look right. My hair was poofy. It wasn't a good look. The highlights were barely noticeable. Not worth the $50 plus tip. Like 6 months later I decide I want my hair cut. Being as this is one of the only places in town, I decide to give them another chance and just try another stylist. The girl who cut my hair was a very nice girl. I requested the same thing and my cut this time was better than the one I got the previous time but it wasn't a 'wow' haircut. The thing that really bothers me is how unprofessional some of the other stylists were. The stylists were chatting with each other the entire time. I'm sorry but if you are cutting my hair I don't really want to hear about what movie you guys are going to see later that night. I guess I'll still be driving an hour to Novi when I want to get a quality haircut and color.

Firstly, whoever said this was like an LA salon has never lived in LA. It's a decent place for a mid-Michigan salon but my complaints are: 1. They only take CASH. (hrmm?) 2. They seem unorganized. 3. The stylists roam about doing whatever when you are left waiting for service/replies/paying. Pros? 1. Fast service. 2. Decent results (no bad styling nightmares) I love that you can pretty much get an appointment when wanted, come in for color fixing or nails. I haven't had the most WoW experience but it's a decent place if you are looking for a basic cut or color. Try them if you don't like paying with a card?

But the most distracting thing was the young boy who was there- he was going around touching the tools, touching my niece's toes as she was trying to have them dry- and asking incredibly rude and personal questions. He was a bored kid being a kid- but when you hope to relax at a salon a bit, and pay to get a service done, he was being disrespectful and disruptive- and made me question the cleanliness, as he repeatedly tossed tools jnto foot baths and dug his hands in there among other things. I understand that daycare may not always be possible, but please ask him to be respectful. We won't return.

Well, she left, and having cPTSD, it is hard for me to find someone I feel comfortable with. Since I knew Sandy from being there before when my stylist was there, and since I was comfortable being there, I assigned Sandy to the task (LOL) of finishing the process of removing years' worth of black dye and allowing me to go grey as naturally as we can get. It has been (I think) a 2 year process for me, over a year with Sandy, and I cannot say enough good things about her, her staff, and how my hair transform. I still have a long way to go, and my hair just doesn't hold the toner on for long, but I will continue my journey, and thereafter, for as long as Sandy is around. :)

I have rarely had a good experience and i actually have not gone in several years do to a very…read moreuneven cut, but recently took my son for a hair cut last werkend lady was amazing. this is where the problem begins new beautician cutting hair continuously interrupts stylist doing sons cut. Annoying but it's ok right. well we're also waiting to have my daughters brows waxed daughter is in chair waiting then new girl announces wax hasn't been turned on today it's after 5pm. Good lady apologizes and says it isn't going to heat up it takes hours. Day 2 ,4 days later go back it's busy my daughter says she doesn't want that new lady so we leave. Was like 4 people ahead of us anyway no big deal. Day 3, 4 days later. Busy but we're waiting eyebrows getting waxed. Take a seat New girl takes a phone call gives hours, tells caller can get right in. Then hangs up phone says caller is rude. Comes over says I'm going to lunch i have been here all day going to pass out. Should be half an hour. Why didn't she tell the other lady not to have us wait? i don't know how they run a salon in a busy shopping center with 2 beautician! And the company doesn't give employees a break?
