It is such a quaint, a little what seems like a small town country store. However, there is literally everything you need inside. We have chickens, dogs, and much more, and there's everything in the store that we could possibly need. Since I did mention, I previously just had surgery I asked the gentleman as soon as I walked in if he didn't mind helping me lift it out to my car. I told him exactly what I needed. He didn't walk me down the aisle. He knew exactly what I needed. He rang me out and brought it to my car and talk to me for about five minutes. I came from a small town in now live in the big city as I feel it is, and this location was so great with customer service, and made me feel like I was back in my small town Forget farm and home we will definitely be coming here for every thing we need from now on! Our account is on Will Call, meaning we call them when we need a delivery. Recently, I noticed a debit from our checking account by Amerigas. We had not requested a delivery. They delivered gas and took money from our account without our authorization. I have since removed our account information for auto payment. This isn't first time they delivered without my request. We recently purchased a house we're renovating. We're not living there, and I called them to inspect the propane tank and appliances. The service tech told me the inspection was free. Then a week or 2 later I got a bill from Amerigas for filling the propane tank! It was 3/4 full. We didn't need a delivery! The customer service rep told me the inspection was only free if we then filled the tank, AND they put the account on auto delivery without my authorization. This is ridiculous! Big business/big bully! Are there any local propane providers left Amerigas hasn't bought out?

It was a few days before Christmas and we realized our propane was completely out. This was a shock since two weeks prior we had 30%. We called our propane company and as always, we taped the check for the prior amount to our door and we waited. Pro Gas has no emergency number. Pro Gas also does not answer the phone. In fact we were told, when asked why he did not contact us, his response "I don't have time to make phone calls" We waited three days, and I finally took a trip out to that address you see up there.. 600 Aubuchon, Troy Missouri. Don't bother going there.. it's not a real address, there is no such number! So push came to shove and I told the answering machine I was going to do my best to get his attention. I called our local radio station and told them my story. It was less then an hour and the owner Paul called and he was very angry. I sincerely wondered if he was still in business. He told me if I had his money and I told him as always it was taped to the door. For 2 years this is how we did it. Then Paul said to me. "Three words motivate me, Cash in hand" WOW, I was shocked. Now if Paul had an issue with our balance, he should have called. But he does not have time to call. He does not answer the phone and there is no emergency number. Address is fake. But all of a sudden Paul wants to be nasty with me. Paul finally gets here and I tell him he'll have to check for a leak and he tells me "You ain't got no leak" I've been up here and serviced people for the 2nd time and you've not been serviced once this winter. I'm not sure what Paul is saying here, and maybe he should check his records. But either way.. Paul checked and after filling our tank announces.. we do have a leak. I'm not sure what Paul expects to gain by his poor customer service and horrible attitude, but I know it did gain him this entry on Yelp. In an economy as we have now, customer service is the key. I guess Paul does not know the fact that AmeriGas will come and remove his tank, sit it to the side... place one of theirs, check all our lines and get us up and running in a matter of a few hours. Amerigas also offers 24 hours live support and has an emergency number on their answering machine. I'm sure Paul and Pro Gas are a small mom and pop company and maybe Paul needs help in the office. I'm really not sure and at this point, I really don't care. Just thought I would give you all a heads up!

A blast from the past outdoor store…read more This shop has plants, dog treats, bird feed, deer feed, lawn ornaments, pvc, chains, hammers, fishing lures, and you name it! I have always driven by but a giant dinosaur caught my eye! Though a smaller dinosaur came home with me, I was shocked at this family run outdoor store! I was shocked by the different options for fertilizer, soil mix, berry plants, and pest control items they had! This is a great alternative to big box stores! I will be back for my garden needs! The prices were great and items came in large quantities so worth the price! This shop is not handicap friendly but the staff sure is so let them help you! They are pet friendly.

But that is available too. (we switched to a natural gas grill 5 years ago so we do not use propane any more) We have, over the years: purchased local honey here. most of lawn and garden fertilizers and chemicals come from here. They are quicker to offered suggestions and ensure you know how to the the product correctly. They are a ferti*lome® dealer. It is the hardware store of yesteryears in terms of service. Friendly, knowledgeable family owned business that are happy to help you. It is the store of today in terms of selection. They have everything you would expect. They are happy to find what you are looking for and even happy to take it right to you car. If I need something I always start here and you should too!

It is the…read morecoldest week of the winter, February 2021z We have been out of propane since Monday (it is Friday!) and AmeriGas keeps giving us the runaround about delivering EVEN THOUGH WE PAID FOR EMERGENCY EXPEDITED DELIVERY! And the roads have been clear for more than two days! Now their "customer service" (what a joke) people are telling us it will be Monday - SEVEN DAYS FOR EMERGENCY SERVICE! Our house is 40 degrees. And it's only that because we have burned over two cords of wood in the fireplace to keep it at that temp! We can't leave because then the pipes would freeze and homeowners insurance would call it negligence if we just left the house to freeze! AMERIGAS IS AWFUL AND DOES NOT CARE ABOUT ITS CUSTOMERS!!!!!!!!

My dads tank was leaking - for MONTHS. The leak was at the tank gauge not part of the connection to…read morethe house. So heritage is responsible. The propane was down to 30% in 5 months over the summer so very little propane was actually used and most of it leaked. They tried to convince me that a "pin hole leak" would not cause that much loss. The leak was identifiable from 50 feet away on a calm evening and you could HEAR it when close. This is a violation of state law for trying to take advantage of my 94 year old father.
