I have always stayed at the Heritage Inn during my twice yearly visits to Great Falls. Checked in yesterday and there are some serious operational and staffing issues going on. It reminds me of a business about to declare bankruptcy. After waiting with 30 other people to check in (no checking in allowed before 4PM), which took about 20 minutes, my fourth key to the room still did not work. Maintenance accompanied me and said that the entire system was broken, and basically almost none of the keys work unless you swipe it quickly approximately 12 times. It's a long standing problem that they are aware of but will not spend the money to fix. It's hard to imagine but the hallways are full of people trying to get their keys to work. Additionally, they no longer clean your room or replace towels, coffee, etc., you are required to come and get what you need. I attempted to call the operator/front desk last night and had to go through 4 attempts where I let it ring until it disconnected, so in other words, approximately 150 rings. The hotel is in dire need of a remodel to the rooms, and the operational deterioration over the past year is remarkable. I haven't attempted to go to the restaurant for breakfast for fear that I won't be able to bet back into my room. I will be finding new accommodations in Great Falls and would no longer recommend this hotel to anyone. Hopefully someone will purchase it and restore it to financial footing as it is a well located property. read more

Don't stay here. When I was there, are key cards rarely worked and we had to go to the office multiple times to have them redone. This happened to many people. One person had a reservation and when they showed up, the room was given to somebody else. Another person got a room that had not been cleaned, but it was supposed to be. Stayed here two separate times during our trip in MT. Rooms were fine as far as cleanliness. Had an issue with the first rooms bathtub draining as we showered. Breakfast was good. The key cards may work, and may not. Has nothing to do w keeping the magnetic strip by your phone, they just are hit and miss on any door in the place. So that's frustrating. Front desk was ok. I can't remember the guys name, but one of the females was Theresa. Both were informative and helpful. However came across one employee at the front who was very rude, Jasmine. NOT SAFE! Do Not Stay Here. We traveled to this hotel for the State Swim Meet February 2025. Our group had 4 rooms booked. 3/4 were burglarized BY AN EMPLOYEE. Police were not called by the hotel but by parents hours after the theft occurred. Hotel front desk staff were not helpful and refused to see key card swipes to ID which employee had been in these rooms that day.This employee has an extensive criminal record and a warrant for her arrest. We're told she's fired- but no financial restitution had been made after several attempts by parents and documentation sent to the hotel. read more

Stood in line for 30 minutes to check in. Then they tell me that I have a pet room. I didn't request a pet room and didn't want one but no others available. Very bad customer service. I requested a second key and was told it was against policy. Then we get to the room and the key don't work. Have to hunt down a cleaning person and she gets us in with her pass key. We find out that everyone's keys are not working. The next day we come back to motel after being out and again the maintenance guy let's us in. Also ask him for another roll of the paper and some coffee as they don't clean your room until you leave. He said to call the front desk and they will bring it up, but the front desk doesn't answer the phone. This use to be a great place to stay when we came to Great Falls but now it's a disaster under new ownership. We will never stay here again! read more

We stayed for a work conference last week. The front desk staff was super friendly and made note I would need a late checkout that week due to the conference schedule. Went all downhill after that. Didn't get to check in until after 8 PM, TV didn't work, had no Wi-Fi whatsoever the entire stay. Room was filthy and not clean. The day came for the late checkout and I get back to work and there was an additional day charged to our company's card. Manager was very rude & extremely unprofessional. Told me that her bellman marked off that the room was still occupied and that he would not lie. Meanwhile I was already back at home that same day and at work the next. Description of amenities are so far off and wrong. Deceitful !! Pool not available. Hot tub not available. Full breakfast menu and dining area not available. Continental breakfast consisted of eggs and sausage links n muffins and cold cereal and toast. Syrup on tables but no waffles or French toast or pancakes to use it on. Wrinkled hall carpets are tripping hazard. Some wings had not hot water for showers. Won't recommend nor ever stay here again. One of the worst hotels I've ever encountered. read more

Older but nice hotel. Very large and everything was clean. Average size room with typical amenities, soft beds. Staff was super nice and checkin was easy. Laundry worked great and was reasonable. They get a ding for slow shower drain and no breakfast, but it's a great locally owned hotel worth stopping. read more

Let me just tell you that everybody here is very nice and very accommodating. The casinos are only slot machines. There are no table games so they're not real casinos. But still fun I guess although the largest payout apparently in Great Falls Montana is $800 so do with that what you will. The hotel is quaint. It's cute is a very local, but it definitely needs to be kept up a lot more than it is. The pool area is super cute but the Jacuzzi, which is one of the big attractions with the cute lights and stuff up top and the kind of New Orleans looking theme in the pool area is not working. It has to be replaced and I don't know. I've read reviews that says this has been going on for quite a while so I don't know why they would ignore that. Also, the gym that looks pretty nice is not so nice and everything just looks a lot better online that it actually does in real life. They just definitely need to ramp it up clean it up Everything working and the bar that is by the pool, which would be a huge plus is only for extremely extremely big events as what they told me. Which is kind of lame. Anyways, I would go again, but only if I couldn't find anything else. I was expecting a lot more, but it was all right. If I wasn't visiting my kid and needed to be that close. This review isn't pertaining to the hotel itself..it's actually a very nice hotel that we have stayed at on many occasions. We enjoy taking our kids for a day or two at a time to relax and unwind by the pool/hot tub. This review is regarding the CUSTOMER SERVICE (or lack thereof) that we were "greeted" with today by Katie, the Guest Services Manager. On many occasions we have called to reserve rooms (we are a family of 8, and we typically pay for our oldest sons' family's room as well, so easily an $800+ weekend for us) and we always request 1st floor rooms that open to the pool. We are always told that they will put in our notes that we are requesting those rooms. This is not only for convenience, but also because with 8-10 kids (a few with disabilities) it's just safer and more accessible for us to have immediate access to the pool, since that's our main reason for the stay. Today was different... We called to reserve rooms to celebrate a momentous occasion - the fact that we are finally adopting our 4 youngest foster kids!! It's supposed to be a fun weekend for them and a little relaxing for us and our family. The woman who answered today simply said that she couldn't reserve poolside rooms, no offer to put a note in that we request 1st floor rooms or anything...she simply couldn't do it. "Ok, so can I speak with a manager? Maybe we can figure this out." said my wife. She then proceeds to summon Katie from the depths of Guest Service hell, I assume. Katie seems nice enough in the beginning, and my wife explains the whole story and states that we often call in reservations with no problems. She also gives her the big reason for our celebratory stay with them - it's kind of a big deal for us after nearly 6 years of waiting for this day! Katie goes on and says "sorry we can't guarantee you a 1st floor room, but there are elevators." My wife jokingly says," Have you ever tried using an elevator with 8+ little ones? It's a little crazy...haha" This is where Katie's Guest Services training seemed to have just waned off and someone who obviously wasn't interested in selling rooms for her employer seemed to change places with it like split personalities... Katie replied rudely,"well, it was your decision to have so many children" -don't quote me on that, she may have used the word kids instead of children, and I'm not 100% certain that she used the word "well" at the beginning. The audacity of Katie to say this was just shocking, considering her job is the exact opposite of what she had just done. Then she proceeded to continue talking like her customer service had returned back to normal. My wife, still trying to comprehend why she would say that, says,"Excuse me, Katie, do you realize that what you just said was extremely rude?" Confronted with the news that her customer service wasn't going to get her five stars, Katie went again into anti-sale mode and pulled another "classic Katie" statement from her.....arsenal of asinine comments. Like an angsty teenager talking back to their dad/mom, I could hear her eyes ROLL back into her head over the phone when she said,"What? You asked a question and I answered! " Obviously the next step was to just bypass Katie and let her GM know that she was on a mission to destroy his establishment one loyal customer at a time! As per guest services norms, the GM apologized and let us know that it shouldn't have happened, etc. etc. and we ended up not booking rooms with them after all. I truly hope that they are able to fix this situation and that we can stay again in the future without the rude comments about how we had too many kids and should have thought about that before we fostered/adopted so many needy infants who were left by their parents in the delivery room. For now however, we will spend our money elsewhere and still enjoy our family time together, celebrating our accomplishment as a family the way we plan to! read more

My family and I just stayed at the Heritage Inn and we really enjoyed our stay. The beds are a little worn out but besides that we enjoyed everything else. The indoor pool and hot tub were great and the staff was friendly and very welcoming. I'm actually leaving this review for Kathy, the lady who ran the breakfast every morning. She was FANTASTIC! She greeted us every morning with a smile on her face and my son and niece loved seeing her each day. She said hello to everyone who walked in the door and was always checking on people to make sure they were happy with their breakfast. She even went to each table to grab the trash to throw it away for us. I hope someone at the Inn will let her know how much we appreciated her for going above and beyond for her guests. Katie the CS manager had a lousy explanation about why our wi-if wasn't working on any of our devices. She kept stating that ours was the only room having such issues. She could not offer us any help and she was very rude. My wife and I got a room during the BrewFest and everything went great! The reservation process was smooth, Front counter was friendly during check in (even with it crazy as brewfest guests were filling the hallways before opening time) and the room was clean and comfortable. We had requested a room pool side, but didn't end up getting one. It was just a preference, and many other hotels don't even have rooms that open up to a pool so seems like a trivial thing to complain about. read more

My family and I were visiting from out of state for a celebration of life service for my mom's father and aunt, and while we were attending the service, my mom's jewelry that once belonged to those family members were stolen out of her room- someone has very obviously rummaged through her bag. The employees at the front desk were extremely unhelpful and rude and made up numerous excuses as to why they couldn't help us with this issue. could not contact the front desk from my hotel room because the phone in my room was for esthetics purposes only. So if there was an issue, I could not contact the front desk. So, I called the front desk, from my cell phone, to ask for a wake up call which was useless because I didn't have a functioning phone in my room to receive one, to begin with. The staff member did say they do not do wake up calls but was not very pleasant about it. I then explained that I didn't have a working phone in my room. Im sure, I wasn't pleasant in my tone. The employee then stated that if I didn't like it, I could leave. I went in shock and awe that this was the response I got. When I corrected his behavior, over the phone, as to how he was speaking to me, he hung up. I called the front desk several more times to speak to someone about his behavior, but I continued to get the same employee. He continued to hang-up on me. And when he would answer he kept threatening to put me out if I dont like it. Wow....... I then realized that I could not go to the front desk to complain about the employee's behavior because it would be him that I would have to approach. I called the police to ask for assistance because if I went to the front desk, I feared an altercation would occur. The officer stated he would talk to this employee and my son and I locked ourselves in our room until this morning, when shift changed, to make my complaint at the front desk. I am writing this email because the response I got from the day manager, it does not appear my concerns will be handled. Obviously I am upset about this interaction and instead of trying to calm a customer who is visibly upset, the day manager just wanted to tell me how I can or cannot speak and made excuses for the employee's behavior. There was a sign about the hotel being short staffed and rooms would not be cleaned, but if we needed anything to contact the front desk. only 1 of the 2 room keys were activated... the card didn't open the locked doors to the building or to the room... When I went to the desk, I was told my cell phone must have deactivated it.... My cell phone was no where near the cards as they were in my hand as I had just received them. Problems with Room 1. garbage from previous guests was under the bed and behind the tables. Shower curtain was stained. Smoke detector was not working. On Friday, the housekeeping staff knocked on door and told us that we were to be checking out and they wanted to know when we would be leaving. Discussed with them this was incorrect and that we were staying until Sunday. The pillows are not a proper sleeping size pillow but more like a throw pillow. This room the window to the outside does not lock shut -Under the bed was a used Q-tip, plush toys, garbage including a McDonald's container, and vomit. There were large bugs walking in the room on the floor and on the window. Strong odor in the room another room window also didn't lock and bugs all over the window - Refused the rooms . I said that I was disappointed. staff member cut me off and said that we could leave and go to another hotel that was not full On Saturday the room was damp, the carpet was wet by the window- the window was leaking. Above the window the frame was bulging, and water was running down the window. Towels were placed in the window & the front desk was alerted. Told maintenance would come. no one came that we are aware of. As for the pool area, water is leaking in several places from the roof, but it was very bad right above the hot tub. Garages by the pool area were not emptied during our entire stay. Pool had cracks on the bottom in areas and some very sharp areas Hot tub only 2 jets sort of work... more like sitting in a hot bath... it has stains. Timer in a far away location from the hot tub. Discussed how dirty the 2 rooms were that we were first assigned to, and we were told that no one should have been put there as there was NO HOT WATER in that wing read more

Terrible place. The desk clerk was not wearing a mask and there was no screen between him and the customer. The "interior room" has a blacked-out window that looks onto a hallway, and it is very musty. The clock by the bed is two hours slow. After weather diverted our plane of 80 travellers to the airport in GF late at night, the airline put all of us up at the Heritage. From the shuttle driver who ran the 10 or so trips back and forth to get us over to the inn, to the manager and front desk folks checking some tired and disappointed travellers into rooms, they could not have been nicer or more accommodating. They quickly got everyone into nice, clean, and comfortable rooms. Offered toiletries to those who needed them. Will stay again if I find myself back in GF read more

Hotel looks great but it's a massive bummer that the service was so horrible! And when I say horrible, I mean it. The front desk was rude, disrespectful, unapologetic and unaccommodating. I coach for a high school in Montana on their Speech & Debate Team. We called and emailed in advance about getting to the hotel earlier than 3 o'clock. The hotel said that was perfectly fine and they should be able to accommodate and earlier check in. Im writing this in the lobby with 4 other Montana high schools in here and with no where to go. After walking the halls, cleaning staff was on the phone, talking to one another and not doing their job. While the front desk was rude, sitting their doing nothing, or hiding from us. I get the bad work days, I get policy, but this is horrible behavior. This is the worst best western I've stayed in. It's old and looks like an old apartment building not to mention the room I stayed in was not updated. The window leaked 3 times during my week long stay in July and was never repaired even though I was told someone would fix it (that morning). This was inconvenient because I waited for maintenance staff that never came. The staff friendliness depended on who you spoke to; some were rude, one was friendly and helpful. No free breakfast and the Wi-Fi was spotty. Also during my stay, the power went out. Not their fault but inconvenient none the less. They have a lot of rooms adjacent to their ballroom so if you're unfortunate enough to get one during a loud party you are SOL. They did not compensate me for any of the problems. read more

Came into town with family for a memorial. We got a block of 10 rooms. Interior rooms/ poolside. I love the area with the pool. It reminds me of a promenade area on a cruise ship. There are bistro tables and chairs all around the pool area, our group was able to hang out together out of the way of anyone else. They provided grab-and-go breakfasts, which were meh, but I wasn't expecting breakfast at all. The rooms are dated but mostly clean. Would definitely stay here again! read more

We are staying two nights at the Heritage Inn. In Great Falls, MT. When we checked in we were told there would be a wedding reception on our second night. It would only last til 10:00 or 10:30. WRONG The music was shaking our walls. At 10:40 the front desk personnel said over the phone it would be over at 11:30. Later I walked down to the front desk pleading with the clerk to tell the wedding party to please turn the music down. He refused and said the music will continue until midnight. Then I asked people in the wedding party to turn the music down. Their reply .... it would be over at 11:00. Never mind it was after 11:00 when I spoke to them. It is 11:32 and finally the music has stopped. Does our patronage mean nothing to this Inn? Are we not paying customers? I realize the wedding party wants to have a memorable reception, however the personnel helping this young couple have that memorable experience should remember there are other paying guests who would like a good nights sleep. Update. After politely expressing my concerns the next a.m. I was told, indeed, the music was scheduled to stop at 10:30. We were given a discount on the rooms which was appreciated. read more

Friendly staff! I had made a reservation for this hotel and I got told to just tell them I had a dog when I got there. I did that when checking in and the lady seemed a little mad that it wasn't mentioned before. They had no pet rooms open so had to put us in a regular room. That was very nice of them! We'll let me start out by saying this hotel was always my choice when staying in Great Falls. However, my family will not be staying here anymore. we usually go to Great Falls 2 to 3 times a month just to getaway and do some shopping! I always liked the environment but let me tell you of my most recent experience. I booked the "VIP" suite which has two rooms one resembling a living room and a small kitchenette with a refrigerator and microwave; no stove. The other room is a fairly large room with a king sized bed and a large bathroom with double sinks and a large jetted bathtub. It sounds really nice but lacked the VIP feel for some reason. I remember walking in thinking this is it?!?! So my husband likes to stay out quite late with friends so he took the roll out bed in the sofa so he doesn't disturb me and the baby but here is where it gets disgusting! while making his bed, I found the sheets were used and NOT WASHED!!! I found what appeared to be old blood stains, orange greasy food stains, PUBIC HAIR and an old hair brush! (all hidden in the sofa bed!) I called and asked for clean sheets and some gloves to change them I finally receieved the sheets two hours later! No gloves!! I reported the disgusting find and all I got was "I'm sorry" from the lady that dropped off the sheets! Mind you, I paid almost $500 dollars for two nights in their "VIP" suite and was truly disappointed and grossed out! I think when I dish out $500 for a 2 night pleasure stay I'll choose a nicer hotel and spend my hard earned money elsewhere! Be cautious people especially during these times when everything should be sanitized and disinfected! read more
