This Springhill was a good stay for us. They were a one night stay for us. They are located along the Missouri River next to train tracks where trains supposedly pass by a couple times a night. Check in was quick and easy. We were given a room with a nice view of the river. Our room was a king studio suite that was set up in a typical Springhill fashion. Our room did have a balcony in case I had to sleep out there if my wife got mad at me. The bathroom was also typical Springhill with a barn type door separating the bathroom from the sleep area. Soap, shampoo and conditioner were the Bonvoy special. Breakfast is served downstairs. Nothing really stood out about the breakfast except that the breakfast was Bonvoyed. Their gym had ellipticals, bikes and treadmills for cardio. Dumb bells were provided for strength training. The gym was clean and good enough for me. They had several fireplaces with each fireplace a different color. They were a good hotel and provided me with a good night sleep so that I could drive 600 miles the next day. The train didn't wake me up probably because of sleeping pills and ear plugs. read more

This is a very nice hotel with an outstanding staff. After my stay, I received a call from them saying I had forgotten my iPhone charger. They offered to send it back to me if I paid the postage. They charged me less than $5 and shipped it to me. I can tell you this is very unusual. In the past, I've realized I left items behind at hotels, and nobody has ever offered to return anything to me, even when I asked. I am very grateful for their good service and cannot recommend staying here enough. read more

Good addition to the hotel options in Great Falls! A hotel central to downtown and along the river. Hotel has a very modern mountain facade along the parkway. Rooms facing the river feature balconies overlooking the water, town and mountains. Our upgraded room features a living room space, desk, pseudo bedroom and balcony. In the living room couch can be pulled out for two single beds. Downside for the room is that it just had one small outdated tv with poor coloring. A room this side should have a bigger tv so it can be seen from bed or couch. Outside of the room, the hotel has a very nice lobby with a mountain theme. Large dinning area for breakfast. Also an outdoor space with fireplaces, perfect for cool night. Plus there is a gym with limited equipment and pool. Excellent friendly staff. Great customer service at front desk and for breakfast. Very attentive. If you are looking at a chain hotel in Great Falls, this is your best option. Lastly if you are sensitive to noise you may not want a room facing the river due to train traffic. read more

Exceeded my expectations!!! We were on a road trip to Canada and decided to stay the night in Montana as it was getting too late to cross the Canadian border. My husband is a Bonvoy member so we decided to book at Springhill last minute. The lobby was scented with a nice fragrance when you walk in, and had a warm and inviting atmosphere, with a feature fireplace that gave the place an expensive lodge-like vibe. The suite we stayed at was modern, immaculately clean, with fluffy pillows and plush comforters. Towels were new and luxuriously thick. The room had a contemporary, chic design including lighting and layout. I was truly impressed! Now don't get me started on the free breakfast that they offer from 6-9 am, because those were awesome too! Hot breakfast with eggs, sausages and gravy, fresh biscuits with choices of cereal. Coffee and juices are part of the offerings too. Staff during breakfast were very polite and have topnotch service! This is a really great hotel. I was blown away! read more

If you are an out of towner like me... this hotel was great. Went to Montana for 4th of July weekend and originally we had planned to stay at a family member's house, but I like my own space :). We did not have reservations and luckily they had rooms available. Stopped by around 11pm-12am on July 4th. Receptionist was friendly and welcoming. I had a great experience at this hotel. It seems like it's new and well taken care of. It's literally by the river. The train passes by from time to time and that did not bother me at all (became white noice after a while).... It is a little pricey and I think it's because of its location. I did shop around and the other hotels by the main streets looked a little sketchy. I loved the fact that the restroom and bath/shower were separate. They also have complementary breakfast if you are ever in Montana, I recommend this hotel. read more

The train!!! All night the stupid train!!! This was not on the website when booking. The gosh darn train!!!!!! Oh and military discount is only for military on duty travel. Overall: this place left a lasting impression, but not the good kind. If you want a good night sleep: DO NOT pay the upgrade price for a river view! Trains come nightly and blow their whistles; we had a 10:40pm; 12:30am; and 3:45am train. We believe an indoor room might better block the sound. Additionally, I wouldn't be so upset about losing sleep if I was warned or notified when checking in about the trains or even possibility of trains during the night. We had a family room (for 5 of us- 2 kids/ mother in law/ my wife and I) - the bathroom barn door is opaque so anytime the bathroom light is on- it illuminates the sleeping side of the room very well. As for family rooms- I have the opinion that when there is a toilet, sink, shower in the same space without view blockers- the shower for should be frosted or have some other form of viewing block- so that if one person is showering and someone else needs to use the toilet- neither person has complete view of the other. The breakfast looked nice but tasted off. The cream-cheese was left out in the The building itself and the outdoor space is very nice and well kept. There are outdoor fire pits that look beautiful along the river and nearby park. read more

Originally the company booked for me to stay at the next door hotel Staybridge. Since I was not familiar with a none Marriott brand hotel I rebooked to this one, Spring Hill Suites by Marriott! It was an absolutely great change!! This was a rarely newly built facility and they have the best of almost everything brand new. The exterior of the hotel is a grand yet modernistic appeal. The middle section divides the structure in half so everything from the lobby to the dining to hangout spot is centrally located. With four floors, a workout spot, a pool w/ gucuzzi, and 4-5 conference rooms, this hotel has endless accommodations. I choose the fourth floor in order to check out the view of what Great Falls has to offer theough out the day to night. Plenty of parking on and around the hotel. The parking lot is not shared by any other establishment. Behind the hotel is a nice park and the Rivers Edge Trial that goes around the off the Missouri River. The room that I was in is just spectacular. I won't go into details but just to say that you will not be disappointed. Let the pictures prove itself. I thought the hotel was nice until I checked out and was charged for having dirty towels! I have stayed in many different hotels for various reasons and never in my life have I been charged for having toothpaste on a towel and the other towel was used to wipe up a spill by my children. The towels are white for a reason so you can wash and or bleach them. The money wasn't an issue. I was just flabbergasted honestly. What if you're a female on your cycle? Do they inspect your towels then and charge? I mean the whole thing was just bizarre and weird. read more

The hotel is nice and the location is lovely. It's right on the river and even though all rooms may not have a river view it makes you want to get out and take it in. The hotel is new and feels welcoming if not "warm". The biggest problem is building it adjacent to train tracks on an active train route. They do warn you that you way head trains, unfortunately this happens in the middle of the night. Get an interior room! The train noise is not worth the view IMO. The other issue we had was the bathroom doors. They are glass doors that are translucent. Anyone going to the bathroom in middle of the night may wake up everyone because the light is bright. Overall, good place to stay. Nice rooms that we've come to expect at a Spring Hill property. Good location. Definitely pricey if you don't find a deal. Government rates substantially better, like 1/4 of the price. But you have to have orders of some kind and/or use government card to pay for stay. They told us this via email and phone all before our arrival. I get it, $100 vs $400 rate, so don't but government rate falsely, they won't let you slide on that rate read more

This is by far one of my favorite Marriott properties. Incredibly friendly people. Extremely clean. The room was huge and had everything I needed. The fire pit out back is nicely landscaped. First floor rooms have a small patio that overlook the river A railroad runs behind it with prairie dogs scampering about. And the river is right there with a beautiful walkway. The breakfast was also excellent. I'm a coffee snob and I liked the coffee too. So all in all, a great hotel. read more

This hotel has an option unlike many Springhill's, you can have a balcony room. They have two beautiful fireplaces inside the building. The pool and whirlpool were very nice to relax in and towels were fully stocked. The staff was extremely polite and concerned about ones stay being perfect. Our room was white glove clean and enjoyed the view of the river. Breakfast was kept full. We had a great stay. read more

I asked for a room on 4th floor river view to watch the fireworks and they put in a "note"; when I checked in the 4th and 3rd floors were all taken. Why the heck put in a "note" if they don't look at them when someone else gets the room. I ended up on 2nd floor in a handicap room. The hotel design is rather cold and uninviting. They still save a few pennies on breakfast (due to "covid" even though the 'pandemic' is over) with gas-station packaged breakfast sandwiches, oatmeal, yogurt and way-too-ripe bananas. The coffee was decent. Someone yakked in the pool so it was closed the morning I wanted to get in the hot tub. Will not stay here again and will advise friends to stay away. Waste of $240. read more

Great location on the river, 4 Tesla destinations chargers. Beds are comfortable with nice linens and a variety of pillows. Rooms are huge with divided 2 part baths. Breakfast was vast, and included. The room was accommodating to my needs. Was able to sleep well, work from the room comfortably and enjoy it as a hub while I traveled around the area. However, I a few issues. When I arrived, I noticed that there was a towel with long black hair (clearly not mine) left on the bed that looked like it had been used after a shower because of all of the hair. Also, the bottom sheet didn't fit the mattress and so both nights it just rode up over the top mattress. These I could deal with, but the straw that broke the camels back was finding a pubic hair in the bottom of the ice bucket. So I called the front desk to make sure my room had actually been cleaned. The woman on the other end was over the top in her rudeness and completely inexplicable defensiveness. Clearly an angry woman with outside issues that she can't separate from her work life. First, she argued with me whether or not I checked in at 10AM or 10PM, because she wasn't aware I had stayed the night before. Then she asked why I hadn't reported this when I checked in for another night the next day, as if I was walking around inspecting every detail of the room looking for pubic hairs. Her bad day/chip on her shoulder solution was to send me another ice bucket. Also, the balcony is worthless at night as there is no way to turn off the light and avoid the moths and other bugs that swarm near the lights. Being near the Missouri river there is a good chance you'll get bitten by mosquitos, despite any efforts to avoid them. I'm nearly a platinum Bonvoy member and I've had nothing but subpar experiences with this company and their hotels. After I use the free nights I've accumulated with them I'm cutting up my Bonvoy card and going to give the Hilton brands/cards a chance. read more

Not military friendly. Be careful when and how you book a reservation. If you pre pay, be careful about when and how long you have to cancel or change a reservation. I prepaid for a stay but then the plans changed and I had to stay on base. I then tried to cancel the reservation several days out. They canceled it fine. But they kept the entire cost of the stay with $0 refund. Plus Marriott would not give me the credit for the stay. I was ok with the loss of the $. That was a mistake I will not make again. But for them to keep all my money, potential re book the room and double dip, then refuse me the points? Thanks guys. True professionals. read more

Horrible experience unfortunately. Decided to book a riverview suite for my girlfriends birthday. Liked the idea of a balcony, until I realized the river was a cesspool for bugs that had already invested my room (pre check-in !) i.e. in the shower and coffee cups!!! eww. Okay, so now for the scam. My girlfriend wore a feather robe and a few feathers fell off. There was also a birthday cake disposed of (in the trash). 2 days later, I notice an extra $200 charge to my credit card. It took me 3 more days to even get ahold of anyone who could explain the charge. Find out, it's a damages fee for feathers and a cake in the garbage can. Be careful. They will scam you out of your deposit. Will never stay here again. read more

SpringHill Suites has everything you are looking for in a hotel, even if it is for a couple of nights or if you're passing through town. The rooms are beautiful, comfortable and clean, and the front desk staff are always smiling and friendly. I stayed here for two nights, and when my family and I initially arrived, we arrived at 1 am after driving 12 hours. We called ahead to inform the front desk of the very late arrival, and when we did, Brad at the front desk welcomed us with the warmest smile and ensured we would be content with our rooms. He was not only genuinely caring upon our arrival, but when we saw him again he remembered us and followed up with our satisfaction of the rooms. Great new hotel with access to Riverwalk and everything is clean and the staff was top notch. The only drawback is the train boss, the train. All that oil from way off North Dakota gets loaded into tank cars and they all rumble right past this hotel, like 75 yards from my room, a whole lot of them,a lot of times..... Would easily be 5 star without the railroad. read more
