The paths to walk are parity paved and circle the park. On a few occasions I've seen people in different areas set up a volleyball net and play. So the park has ample room. There is also a creek where you will sometimes see kids or dogs go in. There are also a lot of squirrels going from tree to tree.

This weekend I came across many people and the majority had their pups with them. Along the way there was plenty of seating and trash cans which were strategically placed. And though this trail is considered easy, there are a few hills that make it moderate. You will definitely get a workout if you visit. This dog park has some wonderful offerings. Not only is it located in the beautiful wooded, shaded, and peaceful nature park, it is also full of fun amenities for your furry family members.  The dog park is on an enclosed 1 acre space for off leash play and exercise with a variety of fun and thoughtful touches. There's a dog-friendly sandbox, different agility course features, and a splash pad. Other amenities include a dog water fountain, dog wash station, benches, and dog waste stations with courtesy bags. Current park hours are open 7 days a week, 7AM to 7PM, and access is FREE! We also heard that supposedly, the park staff will be working on an expansion to the Barks and Tails Dog Park, increasing it's size to about 4 acres and incorporating a trail into the space as well. It's pretty exciting!

First off, owners with small dogs just bring their little dogs into the big dog area even tho there is a designated little dog area. This is annoying because the little dogs often really irritate the big dogs, and when the big dogs put them in their place the little dog owners get mad. I enjoyed many of the lanterns, but the owls were my favorites. They had some interactive pieces where you could take some pictures. There was an act with some Asian jugglers, a clown and a man in Asian dress doing quick mask changes. The mask changes were pretty amazing. There were also vendors offering bao buns and other food, snacks, and drinks, plus kids novelties. Overall it was a fun night.

A local outfitter also offers water activities rentals like paddle boards canoes and motorized ski. Definitely worthy of a visit!
