As a tiny Italian Greyhound, I mostly supervised from a safe distance, but the big dogs seemed to love it. For the humans, there are plenty of benches and seating areas throughout the park. You can grab a pint, relax, and watch the dogs play instead of standing around a typical dog park. They also offer treats, toys, and other dog goodies if your human feels like spoiling you. And when you ask if the drink chilling by itself unattended is yours, you get some funny looks thats for sure. Because why would a bartender who knows how quickly roofies can happen just leave your drink unattended? It takes me a minute at most to get from the door to the park down the stairs to the actual park. I think it's plenty reasonable to wait until the dog is in the park before giving the customer their drink. I'm not carrying a beverage while my 60lbs dog drags me to go play with other dogs. I'm also just confused? For the first few visits I had staff reassuring me that my dog was fine and he's not breaking any rules. Then it's like a switch flipped, particularly with one staff member, who asks me to seclude my dog or leash him every single time I come at this point. I watch my dog and would already put him in a leashed time out to calm down if necessary and I've done it before without being asked to. My dog is two years old. So he still has learning to do and I'm working on that with him. But I'd really love for the staff to show me a video of the allegations that my dog is biting other dogs or grabbing them by their ears. Because it would be a crazy thing for him to only have this behavior at this particular bar and nowhere else. I think it's crazy though when other dogs lock into my dog and play right with him, my dog is still the problem and needs to be isolated. I wish I could say that I was just being a pick me and wanting things done my way, but I absolutely wouldn't even bring my dog here if he had any sort of dominance or behavioral issues. My dog was attacked twice by a dog at this bar, and the aggressor dog went on to attack another dog before the lady who owned him decided to leave. But again, my dog is a problem right? I think this bar caters to the apartment complex and friends of the people who work there/own the joint. If I do decide to come back here it will probably be to join a friend, but I don't know that I'd want to come back here on my own accord.

This weekend I came across many people and the majority had their pups with them. Along the way there was plenty of seating and trash cans which were strategically placed. And though this trail is considered easy, there are a few hills that make it moderate. You will definitely get a workout if you visit. This dog park has some wonderful offerings. Not only is it located in the beautiful wooded, shaded, and peaceful nature park, it is also full of fun amenities for your furry family members.  The dog park is on an enclosed 1 acre space for off leash play and exercise with a variety of fun and thoughtful touches. There's a dog-friendly sandbox, different agility course features, and a splash pad. Other amenities include a dog water fountain, dog wash station, benches, and dog waste stations with courtesy bags. Current park hours are open 7 days a week, 7AM to 7PM, and access is FREE! We also heard that supposedly, the park staff will be working on an expansion to the Barks and Tails Dog Park, increasing it's size to about 4 acres and incorporating a trail into the space as well. It's pretty exciting!

It's a free park about 10 minutes drive from downtown with 33 acres to roam on gravel/dirt paths to see a few dozen large-scale sculptures from some world-renowned artists. The day I visited last month was extremely sunny and hot and there were children playing and enjoying the water fountain with tons of families. I loved this park and the location close to the shops and restaurants along Frazier leads to a day where you can enjoy the park and get lunch or dinner after.
