I don't know why this place has only 2 stars. Truly I don't. Let me say this, Dr. Dan Boarini is an amazing dentist and such a genuine person. I am disabled and was in dire need of 2 root canals, and full upper and lower partials due to severe teeth issues my whole life. Dr. Dan not only got me out of pain, but he also got my smile back. And what's even more amazing than that, I went through the Illinois Donated Dental Lifeline Services group for people who are disabled and unable to afford proper dental care. Ms. Lisa who works for the Donated Dental Services reached out to 7-10 dentist in the McHenry county area and no-one wanted to help. Dr. Dan donated his dental services to me for free. He is a truly amazing person. I can't thank him enough for all that he has done for me and continues to do. So let me say this, if you need help? If you have dental issues and fear the dentist office? Go see this place. The staff up front, the Hygienist, the assistants, everyone especially Dr. Dan, are truly amazing, welcoming and kind people. Don't hesitate and if your reading this review, don't let the negative reviews steer you away from a great dentistry office. Trust me, they restored my self confidence. I love these people. If you are looking for a dentist in Antioch IL, my family and I strongly recommend you look elsewhere as long as Vicky, the office manager at Heritage Dental and is still running the scheduling. Here is why; I work in the trade show industry, which most know requires a large amount of travel. About a year ago, one of my co-workers came down with walking pneumonia. I got a call 2 days before a show for one of our largest clients informing me of his illness and immediately reacted, got my ticket, hotel and called the 30 different partners we used for that show to inform them I would be the point of contact. In the craziness, I failed to reschedule my dentist appt, that was a day after my departure to the show. I explained this to Vicky and it seemed fine, and on the same call, rescheduled my appt. A day before my rescheduled appt, my cousin committed suicide in California. It happened literally the night before my morning appt. I tried to explain this to Vicky that I needed to go console family members, but she refused to even listen saying I was no longer allowed to go to Heritage Dental. Comical right!!! Well the saga continues. My son still went there. She even said they were welcome. Well my 11 year old son has crowded teeth on one side. Very painful. And this lady has the nerve to call us today and cancel a confirmed appt for tomorrow for my son. My son is in pain, and this lady does this just to be vindictive over a year later. And both my son and wife have visited there since Vicky told me I was no longer welcome. I have met a lot of crappy people in life, but what kind of person does that to an 11 year old boy. Vicky, karma has a funny way of evening the scales of life. Good luck with being miserable vindictive and just an overall mean person to young kids. At least I know one thing, you've set the bar so low that any other dentist office is going to be an amazing step up. read more

I absolutely love this practice! The waiting room is cozy, with a place you can help yourself to coffee or tea- and the staff is so sweet and welcoming! My dentist, Dr. Jazdzewski, is the most awesome ever. He spends wonderful quality time with me of course catching up on what's new- but is very thorough and patient during the dental exam. Wouldn't dream of going anywhere else! read more

I only went there for one visit. I live in Antioch so he was close, they were rude, and condescending just as has been posted. I went all the way to Gurnee for my implant. I will never go back to Heritage Dental. I would drive 50 miles if I had to, that is how bad my experience was. read more

Dr Dan is the only dentist I will ever use. I am terrified of anything dental and he makes it totally non-frightening!

I had an apt scheduled for weeks prior to going in. When I got there, I had a x-ray done as well as my apt- all of which are covered 100% by my insurance (as I called and check with my insurance the morning of!). I am a medical coding and biller, and am very familiar with proper billing. When I received a bill a few weeks later, I was confused and called in to ask what my bill was for. The -highly- uneducated staff there gave me 2 different excuses. The first was outrageous and highly ILLEGAL (I wont go into billing details)... but come to find out that what she had originally said was not true, the girl was just uneducated and misspoke. When I talked to the 2nd person, it turned out that they billed a procedure code to my insurance that ended causing my insurance to only cover 80% instead of the 100%. Instead of billing the normal appointment and x-ray, what they billed was an "emergency exam" code. I did not go in for an emergency appointment, this appointment was made weeks ahead of time. Then, when I was questioning all of this, the staff was INCREDIBLY rude, defensive (because I know what I'm talking about) and very snippy. She said that if I don't like their billing procedures that they do there, "as a courtesy to their patients", that I could file the claim myself. WRONG. They are legally obligated to bill claims, NOT the patient. By this point, I was incredibly frustrated and I went to cancel my next appointment that I had made, and they threatened to charge me with a $50 cancelation fee. I would never go here ever again. Dr. Boarini is rude and condescending. His assistant isn't much better. I went there looking to see a new dentist and he made me feel absolutely awful. I didn't care for my last dentist but he made her seem amazing... compared to him that is. I will be heading back to my previous dentist. What a nightmare! read more
