Either they were trying to perform unnecessary procedures, had archaic equipment, or had horrible personalities. Switching to this office was a godsend and now I actually don't mind going to the dentist! (Except when x-rays are involved. I gag more than my dog after she steals a plate of pasta. Damnit, Daisy!)

There was one major difference this time, I was referred to THIS amazing surgeon! The staff, from start to finish and front to back, are perfect. I was so nervous and miserable but after my consultation I felt much more confident. They got my prescriptions sorted out and prepped me for what to expect on the day of my surgery (1 week, a very quick turnaround). The actual surgeon is the BEST medical professional I've ever interacted with. No exaggeration. On the day of my extractions he explained everything that was going to happen and really put my mind at ease. They knocked me out so efficiently I don't remember even feeling funny, I simply woke up with everything done! Leaving, I received a take home kit with all the info I needed, an adorable penguin ice pack to use on my jaw, lip balm to help with dry lips, and a device to spray medicine or saltwater on the extraction sites. They also called the next day to check on my progress. With the promise that I could always call with questions or concerns, our business was concluded. Honestly, I'm so grateful for the care I received here. I'm also glad that I'm now a patient here, If I ever need a similar service there's no question I'd come back here.

He has done tooth extractions and an implant for my family. Never any issues, everything is clearly discussed upfront, no hidden costs or agenda so you know ahead of time what you are going to entail prior to surgery. They will make you as comfortable during the process too. No rushing through the process - from the time the procedure is discussed to the time you leave the procedure chair. I had a few estimates done prior to the first few visits with my children and Dr. Oltean is in fact "in-line" with other Oral Surgeons in the area. My kids have to be dragged to any Doctors and they said they would not hesitate going back, nor would I! Every process has been treated with the utmost comfort and care. Also, the staff has been nothing but professional from the Front Desk Administration to the X-Ray Technician and Surgeon Assistant.

The DOCTOR Fleming called the night before, the DOCTOR Fleming called the evening after and there waz a 7 day follow up appointment. My kid had an additional medical condition that they covered in the staff meeting in the morning and were fully prepared for. Went over post op instructions twice - once with staff and another with the DOCTOR Fleming. The extractions appears perfect. In contrast with two other kids with oral surgeons in the Glenview and Northbrook area it was in and out with no doctor involvement pre or post - and no one week follow up. Office is immaculate and very nicely furnished waiting room. Air filtration. Just wow. They take insurance too for the procedure not the anesthesia which top rated one s in the Northshore generally don't. Amazing. I kind of regret writing this review because they deserve to be jam packed and I don't want to have to wait months for my appointment!

I decided to give the office a try and it beyond exceeded my expectations! We do not live near by the area but I honestly do not mind the drive! So glad that we took our friends recommendation to try her out! She even did some custom work for my husband that I know other offices wouldn't do or couldn't do as good a job as she did! Dr. Kurziak came in before operating office hours to see my husband as an emergency and that right there shows superb care! Was extremely accommodating. It doesn't always work out that way but this time it did. We do not have dental insurance but I can tell you the fees are very very very reasonable for the great care offered! Speaking from experience and being someone that had insurance for every medical or dental visit - Dental Insurances are like discount coupon cards! They don't cover everything and if they claim they do, then you need to read your fine print. When people complain about pricing or treatment, they need to picture themselves at the grocery store or at the auto repair shop. Do you gripe and moan about the apples or meat that you need, No, you just buy it because you need it! Do you gripe and moan that the new rim and tires you're getting cost a lot, NO, you get them because you need them! So many positives about the office, doctor, staff, everything! By far the most comprehensive and talented dental practice I've been to - from the doctor, to the team she has! She listens, she makes you smile and laugh, and she didn't come off salesy. I am extremely impressed with her professionalism, extensive knowledge, and gentle approach. Everything was explained to me every step of the way. When I saw the hygienist, Chrissie, she was very very thorough and as Dr. Kurziak, Chrissie, explained everything to me the whole way! She was very gentle and I didn't leave the office feeling like I could feel gunk stuck in between my teeth! Some places I've been to in the past we're all about quantity and not quality. Dr Kurziak and Chrissie are quality! Pointers for those of you that like details: -Handicap accessibility is the first thing I noticed! -There is ample parking in the parking lot. -They try to minimize the traffic within the office. I did not cross paths with any other patients. -Beyond COVID standards! ( I recommend every patient get this done! ) -Cleanliness of the rooms and the office. -Music playing throughout the office comfortably. It's good for the soul and for drowning out nosy ears! -They offer pillows and blankets to keep you comfortable during your visit. Was explained that they're washed after every patient. -They see kids! Trust me when I say this! I know of some other offices that charge an arm and a leg for crappy dental work and care! If you are looking for something cheap, STOP right there, because that one saying "you get what you pay for" will ring truer than ever if you pass on this office!!! I highly recommend this office!

This dentist is 2 minutes from my house, so I decided to give it a try. I've always been skeptical of going to the dentist ever since I had a bad experience with a root canal at a previous dentist. It was over a year since I was at a dentist when I went to see Dr. Oleg Simkovic and I had a cleaning and was having an issue with my previous root canal and needed a filling fixed. The cleaning was horrible, partially my fault since I didn't go to a dentist for so long, but the hygienist was still nice enough. When Dr. Oleg came in, he apologized for making me wait so long and that was about it. No introduction, no conversation (being a new patient)...nothing. He started cleaning my teeth, told me how bad my gums were and could clearly tell I was in pain and just told me to relax (not in a kind, soothing way either). He went on to tell me more things that were wrong with my mouth, which I later found out were false when I went to see a specialist. This was overall the worst experience I had at a dentist. I would definitely not recommend this place to anyone. I went home in so much pain and my mouth was throbbing for hours.
