I am disabled and was in dire need of 2 root canals, and full upper and lower partials due to severe teeth issues my whole life. Dr. Dan not only got me out of pain, but he also got my smile back. And what's even more amazing than that, I went through the Illinois Donated Dental Lifeline Services group for people who are disabled and unable to afford proper dental care. Ms. Lisa who works for the Donated Dental Services reached out to 7-10 dentist in the McHenry county area and no-one wanted to help. Dr. Dan donated his dental services to me for free. He is a truly amazing person. I can't thank him enough for all that he has done for me and continues to do. So let me say this, if you need help? If you have dental issues and fear the dentist office? Go see this place. The staff up front, the Hygienist, the assistants, everyone especially Dr. Dan, are truly amazing, welcoming and kind people. However, the DDS was good so we stayed. I do not want my young child to get X-rays which has never been a problem in the past. Suddenly they won't see us without them. Despite insurance only covering them every other year they insisted they are needed every year for them to provide service. They even used pressure tactics such as "it's illegal not to", "my license requires it", etc... Any office that tries to pressure you by scaring you and flat out lying to you is not one that I'm willing to put my trust in. If you value honesty in your provider go somewhere else.

I switched dentists due to my last dentist having a HORRIBLE…read more "bedside manner". It's always a risk when going to a new Dr. However, from entering the office, I felt comfortable and at ease. Dr. DiStefano's staff from the front to back were wonderful. I absolutely loved Dr. DiStefano! I was having tooth pain and she not only made me feel like she cared but that she was going to get my problem taken care of. The solution was a root canal in a tooth that wasn't even hurting. I found it hard to believe but it was true! She explained why that happens and when I got that tooth taken care of...my pain was gone! She is friendly, caring and KNOWS WHAT SHE'S DOING! My husband and (grown) daughter switched over to her as well and we are all very happy we did!
