We started with 3 days and moved to the entire week because her knowledge and social skills have went through the roof. I was driving home with her the other day and she was counting and all of the sudden flipped to Spanish. WOW! Never have we been left in the dark with an issue with my child or when a sickness is going around the school. Updates come frequently through the tadpoles app and keep us up to date with everything. It seemed really awesome at the time: we got two weeks off in the middle of March. But of course, we had to make up for it later, and on top of that, the school was split up different places for the rest of the year while they reconstructed. The 3rd to 5th graders got stuck in a school called Little Flower. It was used mainly for preschoolers, and smelled like a giant diaper pail. They wouldn't let us use their cafeteria, so we had to eat our lunches outside. Doesn't sound terrible until you remember that in March in Ohio there will still be random blizzards. It's not fun to eat your lunch outside in half a foot of snow. We basically didn't learn anything for the rest of the year. When I transferred to Our Lady of the Elms in Akron, I was horribly behind. So behind they stuck me in remedial everything. But hey, it's okay: when I switched to public school my freshman year of high school I was put in advanced everything! Seriously though, even before the school burnt down it wasn't that good. I never learned the capitals. Also, nuns are terrifying, even if they're not trying to be. They also held me back a year (or rather, they wouldn't let me in kindergarten when I should have been) because they "ran out of slots." Uh, what? What hapepned to merit based decisions? This place was/is whack. I'd never send my kids here, that's for sure.

My daughter has been attending Kids Academy since 2017 and my son since 2020, and it feels like a…read moresecond home for them. Many of the teachers who were there when my now five-year-old started as a baby are still there now taking care of my three-year-old. They did a great job keeping everyone safe during the pandemic and managed to close for only two and a half months. It has all the convenience of a corporate daycare center, but has a tight-knit family vibe, which is nice. Probably the biggest con is that they don't provide lunch, so we have to pack their lunches every day. They do provide breakfast and an afternoon snack, though. You can tell the teachers genuinely love and care for the kids. My daughter had some behavioral issues when she was three, and they were so patient with her and worked with her and us to get her through it, which I really appreciate. My daughter will be going there a few days a week this summer, and they have fun field trips planned three days a week for the school-aged kids. Next year will be my son's last year there full-time, and I'm genuinely bummed about it!

We have had our granddaughter enrolled at All Around Children four almost her whole life; well,…read moresince she was old enough to be in childcare. The staff have been warm and welcoming and followed our recommendations and requests without many issues. The kids appear to be well cared for and are taught basic social skills, abc's and 1-2-3's, as well as many other skills. As an example, she learned simple, basic sign language, which we had no part in teaching; however, we recognize and appreciate the skill. Especially for a young, pre-vocal toddler. They also have the kids participate in art and learning activities. Parents are given some really sweet projects, made by the kids and supervised (sometimes a lot!) by the teachers and they just started a music program and put on a Christmas show for the kids to show off their musical talent! Staff turnover has sometimes been an issue; however, as rewarding as it may be, that could NOT be an easy job! What keeps us coming back is the fact that she is happy to arrive/stay in the morning and the smile and excitement is still there in the afternoon, at pick-up time. I thank the staff and administration for the programs which they offer and the dedication to the kids which they share and would recommend AAC for childcare.

I don't even know where to start with how amazing this school is…read more We came for a tour in October of 2019 with our then fourth grader. We wanted to check it out and see if maybe it'd be a good fit for middle school (we had all intentions of finishing elementary at our local elementary school). We were so impressed with how individualized everything is, and how small the groups were. After the tour, we decided that we'd finish the year at our school, and transfer to IDEA House for 5th grade and beyond. Our son is absolutely thriving under the care of Mrs. Shumate and the staff. They all care immensely for their students, and it shows. Our youngest just started there this year and he's doing amazingly well. While at our local elementary, he was suspended multiple times and was constantly stressed. He'd crawl under desks and cry and was just not doing well. Since starting at IDEA House, he's made so much progress academically, but more importantly, he doesn't stress about school, loves going, and is thriving. I highly recommend IDEA House for anyone with children that have unique needs and need something more than a public or private school can offer. I appreciate that everyone at IDEA House is there because they understand and enjoy working with unique needs children.

Words cannot describe how much I have loved this school. My daughter has attended for three years,…read moreand she has thrived. I only wish we could stay there forever. When I first walked in the building, I was blown away by how peaceful it is. You'll find children ages 2 and up quietly concentrating on work they have chosen and are excited to learn. The teachers are nurturing, calm, and really care about the kids. The children are kind to each other and learn responsibility. My daughter is reading already, and she knows more about animals and geography and the solar system than I do! I can not recommend this school highly enough.
