Our youngest started there mid-year, after having a rough time at another school. Not only did his issues at school disappear in the first couple of days, but he LOVES CMS. How many 4 or 5 year olds do you know that literally run into school every morning? He is one of them, although we do less running now, because the school has helped build his confidence and sense of personal responsibility to the degree that we now "car-line" most mornings. CMS isn't afraid to give the students as much information as the student feels like they can handle. A couple of weeks after starting at CMS, our youngest broke into an explanation of the political conflict that led to the pilgrims leaving England, of the dangers of the voyage on the Mayflower and the challenges they faced when they got to North America (including a sidebar to explain some of the difficulties native Americans faced with their new neighbors). Another dinner conversation was about the decomposition (his word) of leaves in the fall, and what effect that has on the larger ecosystem. This is nearly every day; but he never complains about being forced to learn, instead each subject is brought up brimming with curiosity. And the teachers... we love them. We had our first "parent-teacher" conference, and our son's teacher not only explained in general terms where he was academically, but actually had copied notes and progress reports for each area of study and spoke fluently about his specific challenges and achievements (down to letters he needed practice on, and examples of his improved writing). If you are at all local, you should consider this school for your children; there are few places on the planet more dedicated to your young people than here.

No matter what craziness is going on in life, the staff at CMS have created a welcoming and safe atmosphere, where the children feel loved and taken care of. * I cannot speak to the previous reviewer's experience. However, I can tell you that the Head of School and some staff have changed. And if you're in the area looking for childcare, you should at least consider checking them out.

I have seen the superb job that they have done in raising their own children and supporting others before they opened their first childcare academy. So it was no question in mind that the Cunningham's childcare academy would be the one that I would allow my grand-nephew to attend after I received legal custody of him. Not only do the Cunningham's and their staff provide safety, care and fairness to all the children, they also have an amazing STEM curriculum and enriching activities. I am glad that there exist an outstanding childcare academy as Little Adventurers.

The kindness and care that Miss Lakshmi and the staff exhibit toward the children and their families is truly extraordinary, and the curriculum offered (music, art, French) is above and beyond anything we've found in the area. My daughter has been attending Kids Academy since 2017 and my son since 2020, and it feels like a…read moresecond home for them. Many of the teachers who were there when my now five-year-old started as a baby are still there now taking care of my three-year-old. They did a great job keeping everyone safe during the pandemic and managed to close for only two and a half months. It has all the convenience of a corporate daycare center, but has a tight-knit family vibe, which is nice. Probably the biggest con is that they don't provide lunch, so we have to pack their lunches every day. They do provide breakfast and an afternoon snack, though. You can tell the teachers genuinely love and care for the kids. My daughter had some behavioral issues when she was three, and they were so patient with her and worked with her and us to get her through it, which I really appreciate. My daughter will be going there a few days a week this summer, and they have fun field trips planned three days a week for the school-aged kids. Next year will be my son's last year there full-time, and I'm genuinely bummed about it!

They are very attentive to our family's needs and wishes whether it is dietary or medical. They also keep us notified and updated on meals, nap times, bathroom, learning activities, etc their Brightwheel App, which is awesome! They also occasionally update us with pictures and videos of activities which always brings a smile to my face seeing my little one interact with the other children. Another huge plus for me is their hours! Being that they close at 630PM, it allows plenty of time after work to run any type of errand I need to before picking her up. If my girls aren't with me, it's so nice to know that they are with people that have the same values and love that they would get if they were with me.
