Okay, this dog park is aaamazingg! It's a true park for dogs! The 'All Dog' side has a large grass area as well as some obstacle courses. There was even a huge canopy that was able to keep a whole group of us shaded this morning. There was also a (water) splash area which was cooling. Love love love this dog park! So much so that we will drive 15 minutes and drive by several other dog parks on the way! Why you ask? Because I have a 4 year old Beagle that was raised during the Pandemic and didn't get out much. Now she's a bit skittish. This park has 3 options Small dogs Large dogs All dogs This is perfect for us because we go to the small dogs section and our pup can enjoy sniffing around, watch the other pups play and sometimes join in herself. Since moving down here to Henderson, this has been my favorite dog park. It's clean, for the most part, a good amount of well-behaved dogs and it's big. In addition, they also have a splash pad specifically for dogs. If you don't want to bring your dog inside the small or large dog park, you also have the option to walk your dog on the trails they have. First off the address is listed wrong and that put me at the maintenance shed with the big 350 on it. If you go to 350 E Racetrack Rd Henderson, NV 89015 you will be lost and unable to access the dog park, well I suppose you could walk half a mile and get to it. If you are driving keep going past 350 Racetrack heading north, left on Burkholder and then left into the dog park. This is the only entrance unless you want to walk a half mile. The address, and I have submitted it to Google and Yelp! is: 350 Burkerholder St. Henderson NV 89015 It's confusing but yeah. GREAT park oh my goodness why didn't I find this Bark Park sooner? It's a dog park with GRASS!! All the dog parks I have visited have been all dirt. Also this one has a splash pad for dogs! With a LOT of doggy sized water fountains too. I just moved to Henderson and was looking for a dog park for my furry son to visit with other small dogs. This park is located 20 min from my house and has three parks to choose from. They all have grassy areas and plenty of room to run and explore. The people I've met there have been friendly, for the most part. Now for the negative-This place is OVERRUN with dog feces. I pick up at least 3-4 bags of dog poop inside the small dog park every time I go. I've watched owners let their dog crap right in front of me and not bother to pick it up. Pretty gross! And the big dog side is even worse! We've made some doggie buddies but I'm looking for other parks because it's so disgusting. I can't even imagine what the smell is like I'm the summer. read more

This dog park was the best park that my dog Lucy enjoy visiting. People are very respectful and friendly. It is pretty clean and all the dog owner pick up after their pets. There are 3 section of dog park, all dogs, small dogs and large dogs. There is a nice trail walk for all the dogs and owner to enjoy. The restroom are pretty clean and decent. Love love love this dog park. I have a 2 year old golden retriever puppy and he has a lot of energy. I've taken him to this park numerous times. There's always nice people and good dogs running around having fun. The park offers different areas. Small dog area, large dog area, and mutual dog area. There's also a sprinkler area for the dogs to run around in on hot days, which there are a few of those here...lol. Today was the day to come to this fun doggy Park. It wasn't easy to find; but we figured it out and upon arrival, we were almost the only ones there It's a beautiful park and has fun water stuff for the doggies. I like the water; but Mochi doesn't so he stayed under the bone bench. There are poo bags, water fountains for Both dogs and peeps, and separated small dogs and big dogs and one for all dogs. Came here for my kids dog Staxx's 3rd birthday. They usually come here and I must say... it's a quite nice park. A place where your loved dogs can go and be all they can be. They 2 sides, one for the big dogs and one for the little ones, and our 2 fits in either one bcuz the baby (staxx 3yr old basset hound) is young enough for the lil dog side and the older dog (scrappy 13yr old chihuahua) likes hanging out w/the big dogs lol but either or they have a great time. The park is nice and clean and what else can I say? Oh in the front entrance there's this gigantic dog statue which is very welcoming and great for pictures so for a day out to the park on a pleasant day, u should come and check it out! Heritage Bark Park is the union of the city dog park and Disney theme park. It is five acres of Pawfection off the Burkholder Boulevard entrance to Heritage Park where imagination prevails. When the park designers created the largest and most unique dog park in Henderson, it's as if they were transformed into imagineers. When visiting the dog park its as if I was transformed from a city resident into a theme park user.   I will make no bones about it. Regardless of my deep fondness for dogs, I am presently not a dog guardian. However, my insight based on my two visits to this Magical Doggy kingdom in Henderson ought to be informative.   My two visits to the Heritage Bark Park have been the ending point of a hike along the adjoining Burkholder Trail from Heritage Park up to the foothills of the River Mountains Loop Trail. With that said, Heritage Dog Park provides extended opportunities for dog guardians by being contiguous to the three mile dog friendly walking path named Burkholder Trail.   In this five acre Magical Doggy Kingdom, the mascot is Barkules the dog. He is what Mickey Mouse is to the Magic Kingdom. His castle is the oversized Disneyesque dog house in back of him. The Barkules the Dog statue is six feet tall and 18 feet wide. Resting in the heart of the Central Plaza connecting the three dog runs he is in a continuous state of watching over the park. If I said that the Barkules Dog statue is not impressive, I would be barking up the wrong tree. It was Barkules the Dog that drew me into the dog park. When I pulled into Heritage Park bound for the Racetrack Road facing parking lot, this huge dog statue with its tongue sticking out caught my eyes. I am a mark for cute animal statues. So, both times at the end of my Burkholder Trail hike, I would spend some time in the Magical Doggy Kingdom.   In this five acres of Pawfection, I was captivated by the attention to theme. First off the scene of Barkules the Dog in permanent watch in front of the oversized Disneyesque dog house is a stellar Henderson City Park moment. With training in urban planning, I appreciate the Central Plaza joining the three dog runs. This creates a community space shared by people and dogs. According to the June 30, 2011 Las Vegas Sun article "Henderson's Heritage Park Goes to the Dogs" printed around the time it opened: "Ben Fish who helped create the dog park said the goal was to create a community gathering place where dogs could exercise and their owners could socialize." Nearly eight years later his vision is alive. I felt the positive energy exploring the place. Hopefully the pictures below pass on this positive energy. The Central Plaza that impresses me concludes at a doggy splash pad. That's right in the brutal days of summer doggies have their own water feature to cool off. Nearby they can replenish their thirst from a doggy bowl drinking fountain. It was nearby that I enjoyed resting for a few minutes. However it was not on your typical park bench. It was on a bone. Keeping to the theme, park benches are the shape of oversized dog bones. With my energy recuperated I decided to catch a glimpse of the general dog run. Here the three dog runs are separated by small, large, and general dogs. They are more akin to individual dog parks than runs. The large enclosed general dog run that I checked out appeared to be well maintained. For the record so was the park. The grass seemed to be healthy. And there was none of that unsightly brown stuff interspersed in the grass. My impression is that the dog guardians generally pick up after their pets. As I walked towards the exit, I took in the last few moments of the adorable scene where real dogs played in the shadow of Barkules the fictional Disneyesque dog. I'd be barking up the wrong tree if I did not say that this Pawfect Henderson dog park is an upbeat Magical Doggy Kingdom that will have both dogs and people leaving with a smile. It is something to bark home about. I rate it 4.5 stars. And, I make no bones about it. read more

I've come to this park off and on over the years with large and small dogs. I've observed negligent owners time and again who have animals off leash all over the parking lot and throughout Heritage park despite leash laws. The worst negligence went on in the park this last time I brought my little dog. People are not picking up after their dogs in any of these 3 parks. It was overwhelming trying to pick up some of what was on the ground absolutely everywhere; especially in the training/athletic park. Not to mention the trash and cigarette butts. My calm and friendly dog was surrounded by a pack (I counted 6) of aggressive papillons in the small (recommended) park. They snapped and tried to bite her. I got into the middle and removed my dog. Their outnumbered owner did nothing to control them nor did he apologize. In fact he tried to pet my dog once I picked her up. This owner should keep his pack at home. He can't manage them and their behavior is too aggressive for a public space. My dog recovered a lot faster than I did. We won't be back. read more

I located this place one day while searching yelp for a good dog park in the Henderson area. I was specifically looking for a splash pad and heritage Bark Park has several of them. Every time I've went, I've found the other visitors to be very friendly. The bark park is kept in very good shape and my puppies love it! I would really recommend this place to anybody in the Las Vegas Valley but especially to those of us who live in Henderson, solely due to convenience. They have several sections to their Park that are divided by an area for small dogs, medium dogs, large dogs and all dogs. When I was going here in the summertime during the day, it was really slow because it was warmer. I tried to get my puppies to enjoy the splash pad but they really weren't feeling it, haha. Now that it's cooled down outside, I have been going on Saturday mornings and it's much more crowded but still not overly so. If you are looking for a good dog park, this is the one! read more

This is certainly the best dog park I have taken my dog child to. My dog is 93lbs and loves the large dog area! There are doggy water fountains in each of the three enclosures (small, large, and mixed) as well as a water play area that is open seasonally for the dogs to play in. There are a few benches for doggie parents to sit on, as well as trees that provide shade (important during the summer months!) The entire play area is grass, and makes it easy on your dogs paws. It is well maintained with doggy clean up bags placed throughout. The dog statue on the outside is SO adorable and makes for a great photo op to include in your family Christmas Card! read more

I think it's time for an update, especially since I come here so often. This really is one of the best dog parks I've ever been to. There are 3 separate areas - 1 for large dogs, 1 for small dogs, and 1 area for everyone (that has the agility course). I love that the small dog area is still huge. There is lots of seating - benches and a small concrete wall. There are 2 areas that actually are covered, so there is some shade in the hot summer months. The park seems to be busiest in the mornings or the late evenings, when it's cooler. We've also had an encounter with an aggressive dog - so be careful when introducing your pup for the first time. It was partially my fault, because I took Scout into the large dog area when there were NO small dogs on our side (there were a few small dogs in the large dog area, so I thought it would be OK). But as soon as we entered, Scout was just about attacked by a huge dog and he was so terrified he yipped all the way to the gate. That was the end of that. :( I've been to quite a few dog parks in the area, and this is by far the best. I am really glad that it is near my house. I just wish it was within walking distance! :) read more

I love this place! So does my puppy, Brody. There's three parks: 1 for small dogs, 1 for big dogs and one for combined sizes with a few dog stimulating activities like a seesaw, bars to weave through and planks to jump over. I also appreciate the little things, like the water faucets for dogs and the poop bags. We also end up going into the combined sizes park, because my friend has a much smaller dog and my big dog loves to play with her. Tonight we were the only ones in there. What a treat! Lots of running space for Brody and as you can see through the picture, he ends up coming home tired, which is good for me :-) They added another area for parking here and you are greeted by a beautiful sign and Barkules, the big dog statue, surrounded by a padded flooring...very comfy to the foot! A lot of construction going on and from what I heard, there's going to be a new facility with bathrooms for the humans and a dog water park, just in time for the summer!
