Driving has been my biggest challenge and I'm glad I signed up for the 6-7 lessons package. Although I'm still a new driver I feel so much more confident. After 15 lessons he didn't know how to parallel park the traditional way, he was taught using a back up camera, which is illegal to use on the road test, made wide turns when turning into streets, and was told to drive close to the yellow line. When he took his road test he failed miserably. After driving for 30 years I taught him myself. Fredy and his wife also rescheduled many times with no consideration for my sons time. This school is a joke please believe all the negative reviews. If you want instructors who don't pay attention to their students and are constantly on the phone go here.

Which I greatly appreciate because it doesn't help when you have an instructor who's got a very uptight energy. I've had 3 different instructors over the course of the 5 lessons. They were all kind and calm and good at helping me understand the tips and tricks to getting parking down pat and also turns which is the only thing I needed to work on to feel confident in passing my road test. I had my road test on Thursday. We met up near the testing site before my test about an hour before. The 4 stars is due to the fact that I didn't get a mock test/review right before the road test that whole hour before my appointment. Which I needed because the person that showed up to my test I hadn't met before from the driving school. His car was a newer car, and I hadn't practiced in it before so I wasn't familiar with the feel and sensitivity of the car when driving(you know every car is different). Luckily I had a kind and understanding examiner assess me, and she was able to pick up on the fact that I was a good driver that just hadn't gotten practice in that car before. My test was super quick and I passed on the first try. I've been to one other driving school and scheduled a road test with them before (this was my first time ever driving at 17/18 almost 10 years ago in NJ). With the car rental they gave me a review before my road test which I didn't do well on because the instructor clearly wasn't very good at his job. All in all, despite that minor complaint about the road test day, I would still recommend Lucy's driving school because their staff was nice and good at teaching. Just be sure that if you're booking the road test with them that you at least get a car you've been practicing in. I'm lucky I was still able to do well enough to pass despite not having had the chance to familiarize myself with this different (newer) vehicle.
