The services I used included: 1) The pre-licensing course with Joe G., who truly went above and beyond - not only during the session but also by taking the time to answer my questions afterward. 2) Six hours of driving lessons with Mario and Joe D. - both brilliant, knowledgeable, and calm instructors who explained everything clearly along the way. The final hour with Joe D. right before my road test was exactly what I needed to feel focused and confident. Thank you all, I truly appreciate your support and wish you continued success!

Recently-ish did a road test facilitated by NYAS, interacted primarily with Wendy (who runs…read moreoperations of the company) and Joe (who was my driving instructor). I called in very short notice to see if they had something, and to my great delight it turned out that they actually did. It took a little back and forth, but in the end, after about one day, they successfully managed to pen me in for a road test, over in white plains. The big problem with these guys came with payment. I went on the website to pay for my package: a one hour lesson and a road test, which cost $150. However, immediately after I paid at the portal on their website, I was redirected to another page which said something like, "thanks for your $500 payment". Indeed, they 'accidentally' charged me an extra $350. Wendy was really good with apologizing and reversing the charges, but noted me that I could wind up waiting something like, 5 business days for the charges to be reserved? It worked out in the end, but if I had been the kind of person who had a very low credit limit, something like this would have seriously fucked me in the ass. I hope they fix this very serious problem. The car Joe operates I think was a white Honda (civic? accord?) it handles pretty well, though the gas pedal is a little bit sensitive. He did a good job of predicting what would come up on my road test, and was familiar with the test site. He wasn't too hands on, which I appreciated. I ended up passing the road test, so overall things went smoothly.

I can not rave about this driving school enough! From the…read moremoment I called, Sheryce was super helpful and got me on my way to successfully not only pass my test but become a great driver! I first had Sheryce, a kind, straightforward, and amazing teacher who made sure every piece of learning how to drive (from understanding my vehicle, to my surroundings, and the crazy pedestrians walking around the car) was drilled so that I not only understood what was expected during the test but I was a confident and a safe driver. She made sure not only my driving but my 3point turns and parallel parking were spectacular, which showed on my test! I was quite a nervous driver at first, but when Sheryce went on maternity leave, Freddy taught a few classes and pushed me out of my comfort zone and put into practice the drilled basics I learned with Sheryce to the test. His charismatic personality really allowed me to see the freedom in driving now that I understood the basics. I really started having fun and got comfortable on the road and with myself as a driver with my last instructor Nick. He was super relaxed and communicated well with what I was skilled in and what needed work. His style of teaching was very close to Sheryce's which was great right before the test. He ironed out any pieces of my driving that needed to be perfected, and I left every lesson feeling more and more confident. This school is truly dedicated in helping you to learn to be a great driver and to get your license if you also put in the work! They are kind, fair, and will show up every time excited to get you to your goals of becoming a driver! I have told everyone of my family members and friends about their service and I am 110% happy with what I have learned with these amazing instructors.

I then looked up online and found Adrian Dricing School. I thought it was expensive at first but then when it's about driving on the roads, there are people's lives including yours that are at stake. So the money was worth it. Michael from Adrian Driving school was my instructor. One of the nicest people I've ever seen! Polite, patient and very kind. He gave me so much confidence! He taught me how to perfectly parallel park and i nailed it during my driving test! Pararell parking is now my strongest skill--thanks to Michael!! I had driven in another country for two years, but that was 5 years ago. And also i was used to the right hand driving i.e. driving on the left side of the road. On the day of road test i was a little nervous but Michael kept encouraging me. I passed the road test and was ecstatic! I do think though that Michael could do even better by being a little more specific in terms of step by step guidance e.g. he didn't tell me to look over my left shoulder before pulling out when starting the road test and i got points for that. That mistake could have easily been avoided. Another thing was that he didn't tell me to straighten my wheels after i parallel park so even though my parallel parking was perfect the examiner told me that i needed to straighten my wheels. Overall all what matters is that i passed in the first attempt!! Im very happy and all thanks to Michael for being an amazing amazing instructor.

The service included 1 driving hour with the nicest instructor (italian man with tattoos on his arms, I forget the name now), who was not only extremely helpful, put-together, and fun, but he also quickly taught me what I needed to know to pass. I had been driving for 8 years prior to the test, which led to many so called 'bad habits'. He picked me up before and dropped me off at the train station after the test. Very happy with my experience, highly recommended.

I found Adrian because I was living in Tarrytown at the time and he was very close. I read the reviews on his website and I thought I'd see if they were legit. He is by far the best instructor anyone could ask for. He is very patient, honest, friendly, tolerant and always with a very calm demeanor. He really wants to see you succeed and become a good driver. I think there are a lot of jerks on the road because they were not taught by Adrian. I have had lessons with him where I think any other instructor would have yelled at me. Not Adrian, even when he sees you being hard on yourself, he will reassure you that you're not doing so bad. And if you are, he'll find a way to say it where it doesn't sound so bad. :) I could not have passed my road test (on the first try) without Adrian's help. I highly recommend him to everyone!
