If I could give zero stars, I would. I highly regret ever paying Crossway Driving School. I paid $640 for their driving package and I still don't feel like I've actually learned anything -- which says a lot. I've had THREE different instructors and a chaotic, unprofessional experience from start to finish. Let's start with Emmanuel -- completely unhelpful, on his phone the entire time, casually asking if I'm single instead of teaching me how to park or do a three-point turn. Waste of time. Then came Marilyn, who I actually thought was great at first. She told me she'd make sure I passed, that I was doing well, and even shared personal stories -- we genuinely got along. But the moment I texted the school asking to stay with her, I was told she was "on vacation." Later, the manager (Sam) admitted that wasn't true. She just didn't want to drive with me anymore. Why? I have no idea. They claimed I had "too many phone calls," which is a complete lie. I never got a call during class. I might've checked my phone briefly, but if she had an issue, she never said anything. It felt fake, shady, and like I was being talked about behind my back. Then came Louise, who had no clue what I had or hadn't learned and just expected me to get in the car and know how to turn it on -- despite the fact that I had only been driving their electric vehicles before. She came in completely blind because I had no consistent instructor, which is something I specifically asked for in the beginning. On top of that, she was rude, dismissive, and honestly just annoying to deal with. When I tried to express how all of this made me feel, I was met with more rudeness and no accountability. They offered to refund me for just two classes, as if that's supposed to fix the emotional and financial mess they created. And don't be fooled by the fake "my love" niceties -- they are some of the most disrespectful, dismissive people I've dealt with. At this point, I'll finish my remaining classes, but I have no confidence that I'll pass the test -- and that's entirely on them. This has been a complete waste of time, money, and energy. Save yourself the stress. I do NOT recommend Crossway Driving School. read more

Nice people. However, if you do not speak Spanish you may be treated differently and waste your time and money.

Worst driving school there is the instructed don't teach they just make you drive around the block while they use there phone and only tell you what you are doing wrong instead of teaching you, and when they talk is about things not related to driving they talk to you about others stuff instead of what you are supposed to be learning they also modify there old trucks so you have so type of issue when is time for you to take your road exam and you fail so you have to pay them another $375 for you to take the exam again plus $150 per hour of practice. Manager is a total disrespectful person and don't know how to talk to his clients. Save yourself some money and go somewhere else you will be better there. read more

best driving school ever I have never driven before and I took a 5 class package with Marilenny and she breaks Down every lesson into steps, steps that make it feel and look so easy that you just wonder why have I never tried this before the staff is great as well they are very helpful and Acommodating. The school came recommended online. Scheduling was OK.The training seemed fine. Total disaster on day of the test. The boy had taken the test once before and failed despite performing well after he was trained by his Dad. The boy had been observed by his Dad to be a very skilled driver who performed all his maneuvers perfectly. However, it was decided to have a driving school to prepare him for the test in case there are any extra tips that could be imparted to him that would help the boy pass on his second try. Dad wanted the reassurance of having an expert instructor train the boy and accompany him to the test. He wanted the testers of the motor vehicle department to see that he was trained by driving instructors. He want him to be acclimated to the car he trained in so that the boy he would have no difficulties at the test adjusting to a new vehicle. He wanted the school to provide the requisite documents to the DMV that they had trained him. The boy took his second driving test in November of 2021. He arrived at 8 AM at the Crossway facility on Fordham Road, Bronx --the door was locked. It was a very cold day 35° temperature. When their staff finally arrived 30 minutes or so later they did not open the door to let the people in - instead they made them wait outside with others. He did not see his original instructor. A stranger was assigned to him that did not speak his language -English. He was not given any documentation regarding his instruction for the test. He was packed with three other candidates to be transported to the test. After a long wait outside in the cold at the test site, he was told that because they were more than two people in his group he would have to wait longer- in the cold. Originally scheduled for 10 AM the test was done at 1110 AM When he was finally allowed to take the test he was asked for documentation. This was not provided to him by the driving school. Instead he showed the original document that he had from his previous test--attesting to his Dad having trained him . He not given the vehicle he was trained on -as promised. Instead he was given a vehicle which he was not familiar with. He was not used to the extra sensitivity of the brakes nor the acceleration style of the vehicle. He performed his maneuvers perfectly. Due to his lack of familiarity with the vehicle the breaking was abrupt.The teacher applied the dual brakes that were in the vehicle. The boy was not prepared by the school for dual brake deployment. The result was a failure of the test - his second test. He receive points off in a multitude of categories except interestingly- parking turning and other standard driving testing maneuvers. He did much much worse than his first test. This was not the result that was expected after hiring a driving school. Recap- He did not have the same instructor that prepared him. That original Crossway instructor who retrained reassured him that he was a "a good driver". On the day of the test he was given someone else who didn't even speak his language- English. He was not given proper documentation of his training to demonstrate to the motor vehicle tester. He was crowded in with three other candidates causing further delays and anxiety. He was not given the vehicle he was familiar with from his Crossway training -causing performance trouble.. Conclusion- Crossway school performed incompetently and negligently and the result was a much much worse outcome. It should've been expected that a respectable institution would be concerned about this. After a complaint was sent to the company about the outcome, no response was forthcoming . No refund. No credit. No apology. There are many businesses that locate them selves in lower class areas and exploit their customers. I thought that just because Crossway Driving School was in low income neighborhood- it could still treat it's customers with respect-I was wrong. read more

Great customer service from certain locations in the Bronx , I wouldn't recommend the 3rd ave locations though , very unprofessional on and off the phone and will leave you on hold until they hang up , and if you call again they'll send you to voicemail. took 2 motorcycle driving course, instructor was very professional and helpful but the school dosent really prepare student for the dmv driving test. taking the motorcycle road test was much harder, the school should have dedicated a lesson to look more like the actual road test. read more
