I tried using Yelp to help find a shop that had high ratings & mostly positive reviews. I had a shop (Walter @ Mac's Automotive) convince me that replacing my rear end assembly instead of rebuilding the differential would be more cost-effective due to labor & parts. Initially quoted me $2300 ($1700 for the rear end) + $500 for 2 sensors that had to be replaced (told me that I had to do all 4). Ended up having Scott tow my truck from that shop to his & I told him what The prior shop had told me. To my surprise, Scott came back that same day quoting me $1300 for the rebuild. Then he mentioned the sensors & expressed their importance but I didn't have to do all 4. All said & done........$1655 out the door! Thank God For Perfection Drivetrain!

I took an older Toyota with transmission issues in to Darin to figure out what it would take to fix it. He quoted me $60 to do that. He checked it out, burped it, added fluid and it ran like new. Then he only charged me $30! He also noted the u joints were going bad. He replaced them, and they're still working well. When the clutch went out on my 2011 Nissan Frontier, the dealer wanted over $2500 for parts and labor. Darin got it done for $1900, and it's working great. The one problem I had with it (idiot light wouldn't go out) was sorted out by Darin and crew a month later at no charge. They do good work, and they aren't trying to take you for a ride. He could have told me the tranny was bad on the Toyota, and needed replaced for all I knew. I really appreciate being able to trust them.

Darren brought my truck in and looked it over for a transmission leak in the front differential. When Darren explain what the problem was he advised that it may still be under warranty. So instead of charging me for something that he could've made money on he went the extra mile and made sure that it was still under warranty, which it was. Darren called the Chevy dealership for me and verified that this was a warranty issue. I must say that in this day and age it was very refreshing to have a honest dhop like this one highly recommend if I ever have any transmission work I will definitely come here.

July 3 2019 Super impressed with the service at Tim's:…read more My Dad had just arrived from a 20 hr drive, to meet his new grand baby, with his two dogs and 77 year old sister in tow. He flipped a u-turn at the light and his whole engine seized up. 5:30 am was a terrible time to get a phone call about what happened. Luckily AAA was able to get a wonderful tow service company to drive us to Tim's to drop off the car. I had found Tim's on Yelp with great reviews. Never had been there but knew of it, as we have drove passed it a few dozen times before. It was also convenient because it was right down the street from the hotel where my dad was staying. We made it there 5 minutes after opening. I went in while my dad finished up with the tow truck. I explained the situation. They were understanding of the but apologetic, as they were fully booked till Monday next week! My heart sunk. However, they told me they could get the car a diagnostic test to see what the problem was, since it was early enough to get it looked at. Apparently there were a few other people from out of town needing their car fixed just as quick as we needed our done. At that point I figured we would just have it towed to another shop. Jeff and (I believe) Ray were the ones who helped us. They were extremely friendly and gracious. I received a call as a back up, around 2pm. They found the issue. Minor compared to what we thought it was. They said since it was a smaller repair they could have the parts and car fixed by 4:30!!! I was ecstatic. They knew our dyer situation and were able to work it out. My dad was so grateful for the speedy service they provided.
