"The Giving Store" appeared on my search. When I read the description of this wonderful organization, I could not have been more pleased to let go and donate here. The staff members are kind, caring and enthusiastic about the good they are doing. Donation drop-off was a breeze.

They had mini gift bags with a lovely picture of their friend and it was very touching gesture. They explained that the entire store was 50% off. I was like, "oh shoot... I better get a cart ." I spent around an hour looking around and found some awesome stuff. I didn't spend much time on the clothes as it was very busy and congested with people so I opted to shop around the perimeter for more home decor items. I'll definitely be back to check out the store more thoroughly. However I found a great picture frame... I'll be putting my own artwork in it but it was in great condition and large scale. I also got a timeless task lamp. Such great finds for $8 total!! What an awesome deal. This place is so cool. Will continue to recommend

St Jude's Ranch For Children - Gift shop and antique car museum

A MUST DO and MUST SEE when you are in the area! What first piqued my interest to check this place…read moreout was the sign was out in front of the mission looking like chapel. You can see it after you pass by Lake Mead on 93. It was advertising for a gift store and resale shop and open to the public located on the grounds. So if you are coming here for the gift/thrift/resale shop: Limited Hours - Mon - Sun 10am-4pm Go thru the gates, use the parking area in front of chapel, walk toward chapel and follow the pathway to the right of the chapel. It will lead you to the Spanish structure clearly marked "Gift Shop" It's a nice size shop, clean, none of that musty odor, organized pretty well, the merchandise was either gently used or in new or newer condition. The young man running the shop said that some of the casinos donate the unclaimed items from lost & found Everything is priced to sell. Dirt cheap if you ask me. My finds this visit, puka shells, Hawaiian jewelry $1&2. Bought a wallet for $2! Looks brand new. Crazy...Found a gold plated silver dollar in it!!! On my visit I also saw some pretty evening dresses, trendy clothes for teens, lots of shoes for men and women. All kinds of nick knacks. Vintage stuff. Office supplies, toys, kitchen appliances, dinnerware. Like all thrift shop places it could either be a hit or a miss depending on what you are looking for. Proceeds from gift shop goes to the kids . So yes this is a MUST DO! MUST SEE! - NOT ONLY is there a shop, there is a small classic car museum and part of the grounds is open to the public as well. It's nestled in the rolling hills, there's also a pathway up the hill with the Stations of the Cross leading up to a memorial. with a few benches. To top off the serene setting, the view of Boulder City and Lake Mead from here. Pretty cool! What I learned also from talking with young man running the gift shop was that St. Jude's Ranch for Children is the safe haven and home to abused kids, pregnant and parenting teens, and transitional home for young adults. They nurture and teach the kids life and job skills. He proudly told us that they have a 100% high school graduation rate. Simply amazing! St Jude's Ranch for Children is not affiliated at all with Danny Thomas's St. Judes's non profit org. In 1967 Father Jack Adam's founded this place https://stjudesranch.org/about-us/history/ and for 47 years now it's been home to many kids. When we were milling about the place, kids were just getting off the school bus and you could tell they were happy and felt safe and welcomed here. The public is welcome and there are plenty of volunteer opportunities https://stjudesranch.org/get-involved/volunteer-opportunities/ There's so much more to this special place. Next visit will be to see the classic car museum and the chapel. Another update soon to come!

2016 Yelp 100 Review Challenge 83/100…read more Waited a while to write a review because this place is near and dear to me. I'm not religious or Catholic (they do have a Catholic church) but earlier this year I started going here every weekend with my family. It's become a weekend tradition. The church is beautiful. It's small but it has a welcoming vibe and strong spiritual presence. Prayers I've prayed here, have been answered. Miracles beyond my understanding. At the entrance of the church, there's a prayer request book. I love that. I'll also look at other people's prayers (not to be nosy) but to pray for them as well. You never know what people are going through. This tops my list of favorite places. It's also a non-profit that shelters and transforms the lives of abused or at risk children. They also collect old cell phones to restore and give the teens to use. Love that. THRIFT SHOP: They used to have a car museum which felt like it was haunted (lol) but now that space holds the thrift shop. Sorry, car museum is no longer available. Service is always friendly here. When you donate here (monetary and things you no longer want) the profits go to supporting the children. Once in a while, I'll see weddings here. It's a beautiful place. I think it was also featured in the movie Fools Rush In.

The employees are a little stressed and stretched too thin but the customer service is good. It just seemed when we were here they were busy and had better things to occupy their time. This is a busy busy store. It's very stressful and frustrating. It's so organized. What a beautiful way they keep it all together. What era do you hail from ? It almost seemed more like an east coast type of antique shop. I saw a lot that I haven't seen in a couple decades. The only downside is that this place is a very old building and has many trip hazards so be careful where you walk. Also when planing a trip to Boulder City keep in mind that the majority of businesses here open later than posted hours. Parking was close and easy.

Warning: Scam Company - Counterfeit & Defective Products!…read more I ordered two college sweatshirts from LadyBoutiqueBD in September 2025, and what I received was nothing like what was advertised. The sweatshirts were defective, counterfeit, and extremely poor quality -- the seams were coming apart, the fabric was cheap and discolored, and there were no tags or branding of any kind. When I contacted the company, they refused to take responsibility and kept offering small partial refunds (10%, 20%, 30%, 40%) instead of fixing the problem. To get a "full refund," they demanded I ship the items back to China at my own expense -- something they never disclosed before purchase. Shipping there would cost more than the original order and there's no way to track or prove delivery. Their return policy is vague, misleading, and intentionally deceptive. It doesn't mention returns must go to China, nor does it explain who decides if an item is defective. The language they use ("partially responsible") is deliberately unclear to avoid refunding customers. I later confirmed with representatives from Auburn University and the University of Mississippi that this company is not authorized to produce or sell apparel with their logos. That means they are selling unauthorized and counterfeit merchandise. Despite clear evidence -- photos, emails, and confirmation from trademark owners -- the company refused to cooperate or follow its own policy that states disputes would be handled through PayPal. I had no choice but to file a chargeback with my credit card company to recover my money. Do NOT buy anything from LadyBoutiqueBD. They are dishonest, deceptive, and operate outside U.S. consumer protection laws. The clothing is garbage, and the company is a complete scam.

I am in the process of downsizing from a 1,700 square foot home to a 1,300 square foot apartment,…read moreso I have to get rid of a lot of stuff! I have been here a couple of times with HUGE donations and they have been nothing but thankful. And I am not done yet! lol I really hate to see things go to waste, and I would rather donate things than trash them. The workers are always so welcoming when I come with another carload. They always ask me if I want a receipt and I do not. I just want to help those in need with things that I bought out of greed or luxury. And Earnest has been very exceptional every visit. I praise his passion for his job and the cause. Great employee you have there. I highly recommend donating to Goodwill. I've donated to Savers and Salvation Army before, and they are great as well, but if you have a Goodwill near you, consider them as well. They are really grateful for your donations.

I always look for books, and clothes. Sometimes I find something I don't know I needed. lol They always have a color tag of the week and it is 50% off. Monday is the dollar day. Wednesday is the senior day 30% off all tags except red, I think. Double check. They have good deals on furniture, too. They usually have changing rooms, bathrooms, and friendly cashiers. You can't take carts out of the store, but they do have people to offer to help you to your car. In Nevada Goodwill is still a really good deal and fun place to donate to and shop from. I like to do my part to recycle, repurpose and reuse. Check them out!
