One of my favorite resale spots in Henderson. Within a 5-mile radius there is Castaways, Goodwill, Savers, and a Salvation Army store, so there are MANY options to shop second hand and this is in my top 2. Sometimes the sections are a little sparse, and I have a theory that people tend to donate to Goodwill or Savers over this store. I think people may not know this hidden gem exists, as it is in a shopping center rather than a stand-alone store with big name recognition. The prices are phenomenal, especially the books. I can load up on a ton of books for our Little Free Library and not spend too much. I recently visited and I'm not a fan of how the clothing has been re-arranged. They used to have men's, women's, and children's and now the kids clothing is divvied up into the men's and women's section. If you're a thrifter looking for a good deal, give this store a chance. read more

i'm a repeat customer here. i feel like castaways is underrated compared to the other second-hand stores in the area. it's not as well known as the others, so they don't have quite as much stock. they have clothes, books, household items, a little bit of everything. nothing feels overly inflated like i've been seeing at other second-hand stores lately, & they usually have some kind of sale going on too. read more

Such a cute thrift store! Organized well with many unique finds at fair prices. I had no idea this place was even here but what a hidden gem! Staff was friendly, service was attentive and quick when checking out. I got some beautiful vintage crystal glasses for $1 each which I'm so excited about. Very classy and hard to find these days. I'll definitely be back read more

Just relocating to the area, I needed to find a donation center for things that will not fit in our new home. After researching, I came across Castaways, and what a gem this location is!! Not only have I donated, I have shopped!! There are some really great finds with great prices. You will need to come back often as the inventory is constantly changing. The donation area is located behind the store in the back alley, can't miss it. They help unload your car/truck and are very friendly. read more

Went there with high hopes. It was ok. People have no appreciation for workers there. Just because it is a thrift store, they want to keep things nice to sell. Kids messing with toys, adults not caring about kids making mess. I felt bad for the workers. I will go back but overall not a great experience and prices seemed a bit high. read more

This store has the best prices, better than Savers or Goodwill. Super nice staff and the store is always nice and cool which makes it nice to shop. Sometimes they have a flash sale of clothes & shoes for $1.97! And they have many items for $1.00. Located in Henderson which is always nice. read more

The prices and size of the store is amazing!! I was so impressed with the selction of items and cheap ticket items. Unique one of a kind finds here. Staff is super friendly and helpful Can't wait to go back!! read more

Castaways Resale Store - Thrift Stores Near Me - Henderson, Nevada

This is easily my favorite thrift store in Henderson--and honestly, most of the Vegas area. While the men's clothing section is a bit limited, I always score amazing finds for home decor and household items. They're connected to a church as well, which is great if you're interested in exploring religion, though to each their own! Definitely stop here first and support local--skip Goodwill! read more

This local Henderson Thrift Resale shop seems to have better quality than some larger competitors. Staff is friendly and store is clean and organized. read more

Amazing thrift store! Like the old fashioned ones that are actually affordable. Anywhere for $1-5 for most items. Got a nice skirt for $3, kids toys for $1-3. Great book selection for $1-3. Some really nice board games - got exploding kittens. Very easy to drop off donations as well right around the back. Some really nice furniture. They even have a discount for first responders, military, or teacher. Will be coming back! read more

Great variety of items, always clean and well stocked, but not overly crowded spaces. Prices are reasonable & they have sales too.

Friendly staff , great selection and fair prices. Found two pairs of jeans both in great condition

The staff is very accommodating. They want to make sure you have an enjoyable shopping experience. Just about anything you can think of has been donated by someone. Research which charity "Castaways" is affiliated with; I don't want to misrepresent. read more

I love the great , big thrift store . You can just walk around and look at all the different stuff they have . They get in new stuff everyday so it's like finding hidden treasures you'll never know what you're gonna find . Relaxing atmosphere just to wonder at your own pace. There's always sales and the staff is super nice . Love this place . read more

This is like a higher end Goodwill. I called to see if they could sell my wedding dress they said yes. I took it as consignment or pay me on the spot. Well neither happened. I went in they told me donation only. I'm like I called before I drove over here that's not what you said. They just kind of stood there and shrugged their shoulders. I eventually just left it there to be donated however everyone needs to get on the same page about how they conduct business. read more

Never disappoints. Great deals and kind staff. I mainly come in to get baby clothes currently since they're forever changing.

With all resale stores going crazy with prices- castaways was able to keep their prices down and I sure appreciate it. Not that we are family in need, but I love bargain shopping and you can find so many cool items there. I donate all of my stuff there too. Shout out to Wayne! He was super helpful and pleasant. I saw a Halloween cat decoration I wanted to get and a lady at the counter wasn't sure it was for sale- so I called the next day and asked again. This time it was Wayne, he put an item aside for me. I was so thankful!! And boooooo to the other guy (tall and young) I had a toddler and a little baby in a car seat, and he gave me a big box to carry. He could have offered a little help. I guess he wasn't taught to be a bit more thoughtful. read more

Enjoyed thrifting at this resale store with friends. It's very large and well organized. It also has a clean bathroom and dressing rooms. I enjoy the multiple specials they offer weekly. Prices are better than other places. Bought women's jeans that appear to be new for 97 cents. We walked out with at least six bags of items. Highly recommend! read more

Can't say enough about this great thrift store. The prices are low, great selection ( hit and miss , but that's with all thrift stores ) . The people are super friendly and engaging. Go see what treasures you can find ;-) read more

This place used to be the best. Now they're just like every other greedy thrift store. Asking retail prices for items given to them for free, and refusing their own coupons/discounts. It's a real shame. read more

Ana, one of the managers here at Castaways, is truly exceptional. Her work ethic is unmatched--she leads by example, never hesitates to step in where needed, and consistently goes above and beyond for both her team and our guests. Ana genuinely cares about people, and it shows in the way she supports her coworkers and delivers outstanding customer service every single day. She creates a welcoming, positive environment where customers feel valued and team members feel motivated. It's leaders like Ana who build strong community and culture, and that's exactly what keeps customers coming back. read more

Very nice store. We have donated multiple car loads of nice items over the years More to go

This store is clean, well-stocked and had very reasonable prices. There are color tag discounts, and service was friendly. I was just visiting Vegas, but if I lived locally this would be my go-to for outfitting a home. They had great glassware and wood furniture when I visited, but I'm sure their inventory changes all the time. read more

The team was professtional and they were on- time. We were pleased that they could take some heavy pieces. But give them a clear list of items and the condition of the items when you contact them. Their response time is good. Glad we found them. read more

One of our favorite stores in LV. Friendly service. Great prices. T shirts under $5. Very organized and clean store. Quality used products. My kids ask to come to this store each time we are in town. The staff make you feel welcomed as soon as you step in the door. read more

Awesome for donation and shopping! Many great surprises in the store! You have to frequent the place a lot

My first visit. I thrift regularly. Every city, state, country. I love this place. The prices are uniformed so there is no guessing. First responder discount. Yes! Loyalty card. Art. Furniture. Books. Clothes. So much. The staff are so friendly "my love". Try it. read more

Castaways Resale Store - Receipt - Thrift Stores Near Me - Henderson, Nevada

Incredible sales and great selection of cute clothes and homegoods! Best thrift store prices - unbelievable prices!

I have driven plast this place many times, and today I decided to stop inside. It's decently sized with some nice items! I ended up leaving with a $10 large Christmas lantern that lights up and my sister scored a mini travel easel, small tupperware set, and a nice blazer. She spent roughly $20 all together. They had some nice furniture pieces and the clothes, books, and movies are all very reasonably priced and the person who helped check us out was very kind. I would definitely go again! read more

My favorite thrift store in Henderson, all of Vegas for the most part honestly. The clothes selection for men's is limited, but I always find great finds for home decor and home related items. They are connected to the church which is great if you're also curious about finding passion in religion to each their own. Support local skip goodwill. Stop here first! read more

This is a wonderful thrift store that has an assortment of items and something for everyone at varied prices...all good. I have also donated here and found all the staff to be friendly and helpful. It is a very large space, so I suggest you allow enough time to search for your next gem. read more

**November 2022 Visit: Saturday Morning ** I had really high hopes for this shop since the prices were very affordable and it's well organized and clean. The store is quite large; however, despite the size the offerings didn't really suit my style. Many items had a more worn second-hand look. I think if you're in the market for pet equipment, books, or other things where how new it looks doesn't matter this can be a good option to consider! read more

Castaway in Henderson is an absolute treasure trove! From the moment you walk in, you can feel the love and care that goes into curating this shop. The store is clean, well-organized, and full of unique finds - everything from stylish clothing and vintage accessories to home décor pieces you won't see anywhere else. I buy here and I also donate. read more

I've been telling my friends about this store although, I haven't been there in a while. My friend and I went a few times and when we did, I loved the selection and bought a doll for my collection. Plus, I can get lost in the book section. However, I am giving 4 stars because when I needed help replacing a sofa for someone in need who was in the hospital, the store employees (and church employees who they are connected with) said they don't donate but I could go see what they had. I don't understand how this was helping someone in need. read more

Shout out to Ms. SABRINA for her amazing customer service and warm welcome everytime I visit. I love the organization of this location and I always find something to being home. Shout out to JOSIAH. Thanks for your help and conversation today. read more

Castaways is run by the Central Christian Church. It's one of the nicest thrift stores I've ever been to. It is clean, spacious and organized. Merchandise is clean and in great condition. They don't sell janky items that look like they should've been simply thrown away in the first place. I've been to other thrift stores that actually put broken or really dirty items up for sale. Not cool to come across a cumin/body odor ridden t-shirt while looking through the clothes rack :o They sell pretty much everything; furniture, housewares, clothing, toys, books, etc... Prices vary. They range from cheap to a little higher priced. They have daily specials so be sure to check out the board at the entrance or ask one of their friendly staff. If buying secondhand isn't your thing you can help by making a donation. They have a convenient donation drop off located in back of the building - just follow the signs. If you are in the area be sure to check them out. You never know what kind of treasures you'll find :) read more

Very clean and organized. And for a thrift shop. That's a big deal. Compared to goodwill and Salvation Army thrift shops , this one is way better.
