Being new to the area and moving here with way too many household items, I was searching for a place to donate my nice things which were hard to part with but knew this was what I had to do. "The Giving Store" appeared on my search. When I read the description of this wonderful organization, I could not have been more pleased to let go and donate here. It was my first time in on Valentine's Day and it was packed! I was greeted right as I walked in and the nice woman and gentleman let me know they were celebrating the life of a friend who recently passed and her husband was nice enough to donate some of her fabulous wardrobe. They had mini gift bags with a lovely picture of their friend and it was very touching gesture. They explained that the entire store was 50% off. I was like, "oh shoot... I better get a cart ." I spent around an hour looking around and found some awesome stuff. I didn't spend much time on the clothes as it was very busy and congested with people so I opted to shop around the perimeter for more home decor items. I'll definitely be back to check out the store more thoroughly. However I found a great picture frame... I'll be putting my own artwork in it but it was in great condition and large scale. I needed to donate several gently used kids toys from a friend, and another non-profit recommended The Giving Store. I called to confirm they do take toys. Donation drop off is in the back of the store, near a white storage container, find Suite 274 - ring the bell and someone will help you if the door is shut. Donations accepted 9am-3pm Tuesday-Saturday. Inside, the store is well stocked and staff is friendly. I'm sure there are a lot of great finds! I'm looking forward to donating more household goods in the future! read more

They do have some good stuff but the European American people here need to chill and not act nasty. I got starred down from several of them. Clearly I look Mexican. I've never felt like that anywhere else in Henderson or Las Vegas , so bizarre when you know you're not welcomed or liked based on your skin color, it was that obvious. I love this store! Prices are reasonable and all proceeds go to Single Mothers, in the area. etc.. They also donate vouchers and diapers to them. They even have a little table set up with free food for those who need it. I am so impressed by their generosity that this is the only store I donate to, now. read more

Not sure what's different about this store versus a Goodwill except it's a quite a bit smaller and much more crowded. However, the personnel were very nice and the store was clean. I did like that they had a bookcase with canned goods available for free to people in need. read more

I found this store when I was looking for thrift shops on the internet. It is close to home, so I checked it out. Since I started shopping there, they have been fixing it up and adding even more items. I usually check out the DVD's, CD's first then wander about. I have scored some amazing finds and saved a lot of money. It is very tight in the store with all the items and getting around inside can be a slow process when they are busy. The staff is lovely, and they even have a perks program when you spend $10.00 or more. I appreciate their little pantry for those in need and I have dropped of packaged food for humans and cats in need. Most of the prices are pretty fair and bargains can be found; quality of items are generally better than some of the other thrift shops! read more

Nice little spot tucked away. The folks who work there are nice & helpful. However, the zazzle is in the prices. Doesn't have the large inventory of the bigger thrift stores, however it's not over priced or jammed with thrifters either. You can really luck out here if you keep your eyes peeled. Super friendly and clean thrift store with great prices. Kids clothing is all 25cents each and of course we found puzzles again all at $1 each. Upon check out there were also bath bombs in multiple sizes. Every time we go in the kids are guaranteed to find a treasure. The staff is friendly and if it's ok with the parents they offer a small treat to kids upon check out. They even have a punch card type rewards system.. Tenorio and I was in Active Duty Army as a Staff Sergeant Promotable (In Charge of 16-18 soldiers, Equivalent to Supervisor Promotable to Manager) before getting Medical Discharge onJanuary 2013 because injuries Ive sustained twice in Iraq on October 2006 & on January 2007, all gotten worse which made me who I am today. I'm usually on an electric wheelchair or if I'm in a hurry I'll either use my bicycle, scooter or comes to worse just walk by foot but effect later at night will be horrible (Imagine running around all day on a sprained ankle, and now imagine how much pain would you be later that night but with tears falling down your face at times). Some time on May 21, 2019 I was in the area early morning on my scooter when I saw The Giving Store located on 274 E Lake Mead Pkwy, Henderson, NV 89015 Phone # 702-565-4483 and I was curious because I've never been to it. I wanted to enter but wasn't sure if I'm allowed to bring in my scooter but it's foldable and you would never guess it was a scooter but I didn't want to take stuff apart which takes about 10-15 minutes, just to look around in the store. So I came across Carol and I ask her if there's a way I can put my scooter inside while I looked around and I was so surprise how she approached me and she said "Yes". So as I walked around and asked question and believe it or not I love the atmosphere in the store. First thing I notice was how I was greeted when I first walked in and an employee came greeted me with a big smile on there face. I've also sticked around to see how the employees treated other customers and was surprised how awesome there customer service is and there Super Friendly and very welcoming. I came across some ladies Jennifer and Corey who put a smile on my face regardless if I have a lot of things in my mind and they all made my day. I come to find out the Carol was the Store Manager, Jennifer was the Manager of Operations and Corey who is Sales Associate. I would have never guess what there position was, thinking they were just employees in the store because not to many high position would have spoken to me or approach me the way they did. This Beautiful ladies are not just Beautiful in the outside but inside as well. All employees or volunteers in the store I came across were all wonderful and are more then outstanding. From the time I step inside I wanted to volunteer to help around because I love being around positive people regardless with what ever issues I have going on. Whenever your feeling down or what so ever I promise you once your at the The Giving Store located on 274 E Lake Mead Pkwy, Henderson, NV 89015 Phone # 702-565-4483, it is just walking distance from Walmart Supercenter located on 300 E Lake Mead Pkwy, Henderson, NV 89015 and before leaving you'll be feeling great because of the Staff & Atmospheres or just being around people who are Positive makes you positive. I lived like 30 min away and since what I've experienced I would come by to the Giving store using my wheelchair (I call my G-Ride) or my scooter. Since I've found a store with awesome people and as long as I live in Henderson Nevada I would stop by or volunteer to give a helping hand when I'm free. I found out they have so many things that I want but I didn't have enough Foodstamp until later..lol.. Im now out of food stamp...Joke..I don't think I'll ever find another awesome store like the The a Giving Store anywhere else and I would definitely be doing lots of my shopping there.
