The Magical Forest is such a gem and an incredible non-profit that truly brings the magic for the whole community. We've visited during Christmas and will visit next Halloween. Each season is beautifully done with festive displays, lights, and decorations that make you feel like you've stepped into a storybook. There's so much to do for all ages...a charming train ride through the forest, a classic carousel, the fun Avalanche Slide, and endless photo opportunities everywhere you turn. It's perfect for families, date nights, or even just a cozy night out with friends. The beer garden is a great touch for adults, while kids (and kids at heart) can enjoy hot cocoa and funnel cakes. Everything is thoughtfully laid out and keeps the energy fun and festive without feeling overwhelming. What really makes this place special is knowing that your visit supports a great cause while creating lasting memories. Cold night After Christmas- the monday after Christmas Mix of music, not just Christmas music, but also popular music too. NO TRAIN- this was our favorite part This was a bummer!!! As seen, in my Pics The Gift Shop's items' isn't priced too badly; there were some items that I was considering, but you know how it is, after the Holidays, your bank account is pretty lean; I have a lot of people to buy for, I've got a large family. There were five Grinch- themed trees. Many of the trees were decorated very nicely. It's a beautiful sight to see. We went on the Carousel, and we did two rounds of Mini-Golf, which was fun. We also went down the Avalanche twice. Stringbean went three times. Gone are the years of seeing all of the Gingerbread Houses. I got to go to Opportunity Village and or Magical Forrest this year after almost a decade. I used to bring my kids here but now my grandkids. As expected, they had a great time. There was so much to do. They have the big giant awesome slide. The line was kinda long so we didn't do that. They had a Santa shop where you can have pics with Santa. Santa was so nice and we got good high quality pictures. We also tried the carousel and my grandson loved it. There were also lot of small shops that you. A buy small Cute stuff and trinkets. The Magical Forest is still MAGICAL! The lights are awesome and the train goes through it. Of course the highlight is the TRAIN and it went around the magical forest. This is an awesome place to go and the entrance is very affordable. The kids will love it. Advice to go early so you'll get to do everything. And try the hot cocoa and funnel cakes. read more

We visit the opportunity village most years for either Halloveen or Christmas and it's so much fun for a reasonable price especially knowing it goes back to the opportunity village. This year we did the new Springfest which was such a cute special themed event. For two weeks they had different themes and different night offerings for the 21 and over crowd. We went towards the end of the event so it wasn't busy and we were able to really take our time and enjoy the sights and sounds. The only thing was the open air market was so small! There were only two vendors when we went. I'm hoping it's just because it was the first year and it hasn't gained traction yet but I hope they do this again next year! Had a good time at magical Forest. Spent New Year's Eve here. It was decorated in Christmas theme. Most of the staff were really nice. We all loved the Christmas decorations throughout and it was just some good ole wholesome family fun... It was brought to my attention by a family member who volunteers at opportunity village, that the profits and proceeds go towards various programs for special needs individuals, which I think is utterly amazing. Great, safe and fun night out to celebrate the Christmas season benefiting a good cause. Can't find anywhere in Las Vegas that does a better job of providing a safe and colorful event. Groupon helps defray the admission pictures with Santa were $15 with a print but they also let you take your own photo with your camera friendly staff. Only downside is the food. Don't come on an empty Stomach. It's nice that the prices are a tad high - the food at the place below was terrible. Cold hotdog, cold kinda stale buns and COLD Mac and cheese. The cocoa was hot - straight from the dispenser. Line are long at times (but heck not like DisneyLand!!). The Christmas event is something I look forward to every holiday season. The decorations are beautiful and the festivities really get you into the Christmas spirit. The only downside is the long lines, so I definitely recommend going on certain dates to avoid the crazy waits. Looking at Halloween activities for the month of October, Halloveen at the Magical Forest is one of the topic rated experiences in Las Vegas for Halloween! Opportunity Village hosts an amazing event! We ended up purchasing some tickets on Groupon and went to the Magical Forest HalloVeen on the opening weekend, October 5. Current 2024 Dates are the following October 4-6, 11-13, and 18-31 Sunday - Thursday: 5:30 P.M - 9:00 P.M Friday & Saturday: 5:30 P.M - 9:30 P.M The box office closes 30 minutes prior to the park closing. The event is outdoors. There are a lot of activities at Halloveen. We ended up spending the entire evening at the Magical Forest on Saturday from 6:00 - 9:30 P.M. The first thing that was always do is walk through the forest. This year, there wasn't any trick-o-treat stops along the way. All of the trick or treat stations were near the midway carnival games and rides. The Magical forest was beautiful. There were so many lights and decorations. All of the trees were decorated and there was plenty of jack-o-lanterns! There was even a mini-show performed by the bubble fairy! It was pretty cool! After exploring the Magical Forest, we ended up going on the train experience. The wait was less than 15 minutes. There are typically 2 riders per each row. The train rides takes you throughout the magical forest in a loop. It's a lot of fun! Afterwards, we ended up going to the trick-or-treat stations. Luckily, we had a map of all of the stations at Halloveen village. We didn't see any haunted houses like the prior years. It looks like the haunted houses were converted to a open food court called the Camelot Hall. There was plenty of food selections and treats inside! The 8-hole mini golf is always a must every time we visit. Unfortunately, while we were playing, a kid didn't wait for us to finish at the hole, and ended up hitting me in the leg with the golf ball. It hurt lol.. After that, we ended up stopping and went to the carousel ride instead. The wait was relatively long, about 20 minutes. Afterwards, we picked up some cotton candy, preceded to finish up some of the rides, and then went shopping at the gift store on our way out! The gift store had a lot of Halloween decorations like signs for your yard, some costume add-ons, pumpkin decorating kits, and so much more! My family and I try to make this a yearly event! I love The Magical Forest and have been here for Christmas and some volunteering with one of my old jobs. My husband and I had our first Christmas date here and the tradition has held strong these past years. I was looking for something Halloween related for date night and remembered that during this time of the year, Christmas is out and HallOVeen is in at The Magical Forest. Walking up, you pass through security and a metal detector. Not a big deal but also sad that they have to do that. We didn't buy tickets online, we purchased them at the ticket booth. It's a coupe dollars difference but I don't know where the fees go and I'd like to make sure Opportunity Village gets all the money it can. Obv, if you're going on a busy day, the online tickets are a good grab. Since this was my first Halloween here, I was delighted by all the displays and how they "spookified" all the Christmas sets. I love meandering and looking at all the baubles and décor. The displays are great quality and fun to look at. I especially love the moving ones. I love the volunteers here as well. Everyone is so friendly and happy, even the teenagers who have to wrangle in adults who don't like to listen. The best people are always the guys at the train station. Been wanting to go back here because the first experience we had was not a good one. We saw the play and then took pics with Santa and then it started to rain hard and decided to leave. So technically we didn't even get to see anything. So happy we finally got a second chance this year and it was super cute. There's so many photo opps and they even had a train. It was a very short ride but still enjoyed it very much. I loved seeing all the decorated trees from different companies and it was just super cute and simple here. Also the "magical maze" was not magical. I thought it was going to have like lights and something pretty. They started crying and panicking. I felt so claustrophobic and so did they. We just wanted to get out. I don't think this is for little kids at all and I don't understand why even have that there. I couldn't even walk with them, it's so small and tight. It was horrible. Saw the Magical Forest advertised in a magazine at the hotel, looked up prices and wasn't bad so decided it would something fun to do. This is a non profit venue and all the money goes towards a good cause which is a plus. Most if not all the employees were volunteers. If you're from the California Bay Area it was a little bit of a Christmas in the park vibe with the decorative trees from different sponsors. It was also a bit like a fair with a few rides and concession foods. We arrived about 10 minutes before open and the parking lot was already busy and people were lined up to get in. We waited until a little after 5:30 to get in line. Security check went quick as well as ticket entry. You can buy tickets online or at the gate. Definitely go early as it got busier later in the evening. Bathrooms were indoors and clean. We rode the merry go round, the train, and played mini golf. They also had a spinning teacup like ride, a giant slide, and one more ride that goes in circles. The lines moved pretty quickly. There was a trail of trees and decorative houses which was cute. Also some local students singing. There was a beer garden in the back for adults only 21+. This was a nice area as it wasn't crowded and had tables and heaters. We tried 2 of the winter cocktails. The ho ho hot chocolate was worth it! Definitely a dessert, came with 2 mini chocolate donuts, a candy cane, half a sugar cookie, whipped cream, and m&ms on top for $14. Also tried the white Christmas drink which was tequila, coconut and agave. Both were tasty and strong! For $25 it was a nice 3 hour outing, they also had a Groupon deal earlier in the season. I've lived in Las Vegas for 5 years now and I finally went to Opportunity Village for the first time with my four children. Long story short, it was a blast! Admission for $25 per person, so with a big family it can get expensive. I was told Groupon offers a really great rate so be sure to check there. No outside food or drinks. Again, so 4 kids things can add up quickly. So I was bummed not to be able to bring our smaller snacks but that's alright. We got hot cocoa's for $5 a cup and Dessie's Table Cookies for $3 a piece. Very good flavors and reasonably priced. The kids enjoyed the carousel which I had fun at too. I loved that there were not just horses to ride but cute stuff like a chicken, ostrich, and a dragon. It was so unique! They gave us such a long ride on it, almost a whole song. But even with that, the line moved so quickly. The mini putt was easy, too. We just had to tell the booth how many kids and adults and they offered us balls and the appropriate sized putters. There wasn't a time limit but with just 4 holes to play we wouldn't have taken long anyway. After we did a mini roller coaster. We skipped the tea cups next to it because I didn't want my kids to get too dizzy and possibly feel sick after. I wouldn't want anyone to have to clean it up. The kids loved the slide and stood in line for it 5x. It wasn't as scary as I thought it would be, which is probably why they did it so many times. There was a movie area, I saw it while standing in line for the carousel. I was thinking we could hide in there if we needed to get out of the cold but the kids didn't need it. They were busy standing in line for everything else. We finally did the Polar Express and that by far the funnest one in my perspective. We got to see the Christmas trees and displays from a different perspective. Overall such a fun experience and I'm so grateful to have experienced it for the first time. I had not been here in years with the family, and was excited that we had the chance this time to take our nieces since our "baby" is now a full blown teen. The price for admission is decent for the free rides you get. We rode the carousel, train, and another one that's like a roadrunner- and that was free with the ticket purchase. There are also a lot of lights for the small kids to enjoy while you cruise the Magical Forest with them. The Magical Forest also has several activities for older people like mini golf, hamster wheel in a pool, and the very famous for all ages: pictures with Santa, (separate cost). The Magical Forest is an event that assists the community while allowing family members, lovers, friends, and everyone and anyone to enjoy company of their loved ones. It is crowded with kids, families, so be patient and watch where you walk! There are food trucks selling carnival treats/foods, and the gym plays a movie you can relax with your kids with. It's not a bad bag for your buck with the rides and food trucks they have. I think he's definitely worth the price you pay for the ticket! Make sure you bundle up your babies, and yourself if you're cold like I am, and bring your water unless you're prepared to buy some there! The Magical Forest is, (in my personal opinion), more for families with toddlers/tikes because it will look bigger to them and more interesting than what it actually is. My family and I had the opportunity to attend the Magical Forest as a private event and grateful we were able to experience this place as it wasn't as crazy busy as it would be with the public. We got in when it opened and were able to do everything. As you walk in you have a house with the grinch to take pictures with. Walking in there's a gift shop and the entrance on the right into the magical forest. It's has Christmas trees of companies who decorated and all types of Christmas decor. Very quick to go through. On the sides there's food trucks and small carnival rides for the kids! Restrooms available, pictures with Santa in his house for $15 and a cafeteria look alike with where you can purchase other foods like pizza, popcorn, fries and more. My family and I visited The Magical Forest yesterday, which was a Sunday evening. Partaking was easy and there were plenty of open spots close to the entrance when we arrived shortly after 5:30p. Before entering, there were four metal detector security lines before gaining access to the event space. The lines moved quickly. We were a party of four with a stroller. They checked my purse baby bag and stroller basket. There were plenty of lines for ticket scanning. My family and I walking right up without hanging to wait. Upon entering, there was a gift shop to the right and games. My girls wanted to play the game where they advised "everyone wins". Well yep, we paid $5 per child and they played the ring toss and afterwards were able to pick a prize. There was were concessions that offered fun options like funnel cakes and fried Oreos. My children needed to use the restroom. Before the restroom was am indoor area with Turkey Legs, popcorn and sugar coated nuts. My children enjoyed all of the rides, mini golf and the carousel. They were so excited to get inside of the ambulance and fire engine. The staff was kind and friendly. Finally we toured the tree display and it was beautiful. It was exciting seeing how all the trees were decorated. Overall, my family and I had a wonderful experience. We will definitely return next year. read more

This is truly magical and it's a great stop during the holidays for the kiddos and family time .

I've been wanting to take my son because Opportunity Village is an asset to the community and to take him out for his birthday. But I was disappointed. I paid over $50 for the two of us and then $17 for three small chicken tenders, tater tots, and a soft pretzel. The way they handled the food, the two separate lines was not a good idea. My son was only able to go on the carousel 2x. Lines were too long for anything else. Around 830 he finally spotted the giant slide and led me over there but the line had just shut down, so we walked away with him crying. So I thought I'd try the train to cheer him up and because the line was shorter, but the line was closed. My son can't do long lines due to the severity of his autism and seeing him cry because he couldn't go on the slide broke my heart. He's nonverbal so we couldn't have a conversation about it. But he did enjoy looking at the trees and the blow up maze. I purposely made turn on directions that would result in a dead end and he laughed each time. I think, since Opportunity Village serves the disabled community that they should have a night or two just for children like mine who need the shorter lines and less crowds. Or be like the bigger theme parks where we can walk through an exit to go on a ride so other children with autism can enjoy the night. I guess it's grown to 3 million people and opportunity village hasn't grown to accommodate, they need to limit the crowds. Why can't they open at 4:30, better for young children who need to be in bed by 9 PM -lines are ridiculously long for food or to ride or do anything. Bathroom line 30 minutes long. Opportunity village puts on a great light show made with various activities throughout the park, a true Vegas classic! The staff and volunteer are always very kind. The train is probably my favorite part, a great experience for kids. The funnel cakes are always great, freshly fried and huge allowing you to choose whether to share or not. This was the first time we assisted after Christmas in New Year Eve and it was perfect, not too crowded and plenty of room to get on the rides without the usual long lines. I went on a Sunday at 6 PM Cons ***Like the con is all these different social media pages posting out videos, you know Halloween trick-or-treating and you know the magical forest and making it look really awesome. ***They had my vote because of the media however it was so overcrowded and people literally climbing over other people and so many kids running around that it was kind of scary to think if you lost your kid that would be it for you or to some natural disaster emergency happen I seriously don't see people being safe for as much people contained in a small space. ***VERY CROWDED *** Parking is very crowded as well, but luckily it's very big so get early there and you might get a better spot. *** You had maybe four rides the train the slides some Spinny tea cup looking things and the carousel; each line had over 50 people. I would imagine it. ***Trick-or-treat handout spots had really crappy candy we ate talking about Tootsie Rolls, but like small versions and only one little candy for each child and it was mostly 3 booths. It wasn't Doors. I tried to look for those doors like I seen on social media and that's kind of why I went to give my son that experience because I don't have him on Halloween night. *** my son really wanted to ride that train so we did that and I mean we waited in line maybe for 10/15 minutes I would say the train was 5 minutes long. But my kid did tell me I don't wanna ride any of the rides too long lines so we just did the train. Got three pieces of tootsie rolls, played a game and went home. Pros The lights were my favorite part I think, but like I said it was so crowded. You couldn't enjoy yourself, especially touring the graveyard. It was really pushy pushy feeling there was no time to stop and look because people were kind of just huddled together and pushing you forward, and if you stopped and looked, you know people in back of you would get kinda annoyed. Or we had the couple in front of us that were absolutely so slow, but we couldn't get out of the way because next to them was another family of five with strollers and kids so it felt like you're also claustrophobic stuck in this sea of people. The only thing that wasn't long was the food court and water was like I think $3/$4 so that's pretty kind. All in all two stars because I got some great pictures and my kid got to ride a five minute train and he had a good time wearing his costume. Will I go again next year no it's a gimmick. In my opinion. I mean the proceeds might have a really good cause and what they stand , but I am not into price gouging and I don't know why it's $24 or even $17 on Groupon. Last year I went by the Trivoli market over in Summerlin. I know they had a pumpkin patch last year that was free and it had rides and jumpy houses and I think it was like 20 bucks for ride tickets feel like that's way worth more fun Because the lines weren't that crazy and they didn't charge ahead for everybody to get in it was free. I feel really like they should have a sold out date if they sell so many tickets so that the rides aren't extremely long for the kids, and safer. I know that they do that with Gilcrease pumpkin patch they put a sold out sign on a day I want it to go and I thought that's so wrong but I understand now that not,it's not wrong at all. The best reason to come here: Every dollar spent at the Magical Forest goes towards programs and services for over 3,000 people with disabilities at Opportunity Village. Second best reason to come here: My family and I have gone here several time now, it's a fun place to take the kids during Halloween and Christmas time. Magical Forest has rides, food trucks, hot coco, light displays, activities for the kids, pictures with Santa and my favorite is the railroad Christmas light ride. Sadly, a couple years after covid I noticed that the place has dwindled in size. Some lights weren't working, they didn't have as much activities. However, that didn't stop my and my family from having fun! I believe this place will pick right back up. I believe that the workers here are mostly made up of volunteers, they are welcoming and full of the Holiday spirit!
