Price & Beckstrom Personal Injury Law Firm volunteering at Project 150!
    Stephanie A.

Wanted to say how impressed I was going to Project 150 with our law office to volunteer yesterday. They really are helping so many people. If you haven't been, please visit their website, spread the word, or if you have some time... volunteer or donate!! Or if you know some teens in need, give them information so Project 150 can help them. Thank you for letting our office give a little bit of our time to help out.

Came here for a back to school event they had. Loved the idea of the community helping our students however the front desk staff was beyond rude and made my daughter and I uncomfortable upon entering. They were annoyed that we had given them a partial last name than listed on their sign up sheet. My daughter has a hyphenated last name but they require a photo id along with student Id regardless so instead of verify the ID and name they hounded her over not giving them the correct last name. They said for future reference and that my daughter should be the one to fill out the application so there's no error of names. Isn't that why they confirm identification ? They also said we needed an appointment. However on social media it says they don't require appointments. There seems to be a miscommunication on their end and they are taking it out on the participants. I probably won't be returning due to the aggressive first impression. It's hard to stay professional or treat the staff as professionals when they act so rude to the people they're portraying to help. Please work on customer service. You're doing this for the community so get some volunteers in there that genuinely care.

Just what kids need! They are there to assist with building esteem in teenagers that might otherwise be struggling.

As seen, in my Pics The Gift Shop's items' isn't priced too badly; there were some items that I was considering, but you know how it is, after the Holidays, your bank account is pretty lean; I have a lot of people to buy for, I've got a large family. There were five Grinch- themed trees. Many of the trees were decorated very nicely. It's a beautiful sight to see. We went on the Carousel, and we did two rounds of Mini-Golf, which was fun. We also went down the Avalanche twice. Stringbean went three times. Gone are the years of seeing all of the Gingerbread Houses. Now, there are a lot of fundraising food/drink stands, I get it, it's an organization.

There was so much to do. They have the big giant awesome slide. The line was kinda long so we didn't do that. They had a Santa shop where you can have pics with Santa. Santa was so nice and we got good high quality pictures. We also tried the carousel and my grandson loved it. There were also lot of small shops that you. A buy small Cute stuff and trinkets. The Magical Forest is still MAGICAL! The lights are awesome and the train goes through it. Of course the highlight is the TRAIN and it went around the magical forest. This is an awesome place to go and the entrance is very affordable. The kids will love it. Advice to go early so you'll get to do everything. And try the hot cocoa and funnel cakes.

Volunteer times are usually 2 hours on a Wednesday and Friday evenings from 6PM-8PM. When arriving at Spread the word it is good to know that you enter through a side door in a strip mall off of American Pacific and Gibson. Workers and volunteers then explain the process. Step 1; Grab some books. Step 2; Inspect the books for writing, tears or stickers. If the book is damaged, try to repair it or recycle it. Step 3; Clean it with a wet rag and dry off. Step 4; Categorize the book in 2 different boxes depending on if it has a bar code or not. There are also other bins for Spanish and Library books. Step 5; When you have filled a box someone grabs the box and puts in a bigger bin in the warehouse. Step 6; clean up your workstation! A few tips: You may want to wear vinyl or latex gloves when handling the books. Some had water damage and questionable stains.
