There were five Grinch- themed trees. Many of the trees were decorated very nicely. It's a beautiful sight to see. We went on the Carousel, and we did two rounds of Mini-Golf, which was fun. We also went down the Avalanche twice. Stringbean went three times. Gone are the years of seeing all of the Gingerbread Houses. Now, there are a lot of fundraising food/drink stands, I get it, it's an organization.

Since…read morethen, she has been given so many amazing opportunities to grow as a musician in a positive environment! Once we had signed her up for a summer camp, it opened up the doors to so many other opportunities there that we did not know existed! She has had the opportunity to participate in a master class with musicians that perform at the Smith center, perform on stage with Loren Allred at the MGM Garden Arena, and also given opportunities to learn with many amazing musicians and local artists. Specifically, she loved Clint Holmes and his wife. She made a lot of amazing friends in one week of camp and is looking forward to continuing classes through Positively Arts! I have seen so much growth in her performance since she started, specifically that she is now singing with emotion and passion. We are forever grateful that we found this place to help her in grow in her musical journey!

That is where this place can help. They are able to assist and support our youth with being able to thrive and stay in school to graduate. They accept donations and appreciate volunteers. They provide classes such as job research, job prep, setting life goals, life after high school, financial skills and other educational help. This can really change a young persons life if they offered the right tools to succeed. Clothing is offered for free at the little store called Betty's Boutique on-site with a high school student ID. I was happy to donate my daughter's old prom and homecoming dresses to this organization in order for a needy youth to enjoy their upcoming formal dance. They also accept monetary donations as well. Our Scout Pack 931 Organized a…read morevolunteer night and I did not know much about the organization before signing up to volunteer with Scouts. You can register to volunteer on the website. https://spreadthewordnevada.org/volunteer-options/ They have several ways to Volunteer. We did the book preparation volunteering. Volunteer times are usually 2 hours on a Wednesday and Friday evenings from 6PM-8PM. When arriving at Spread the word it is good to know that you enter through a side door in a strip mall off of American Pacific and Gibson. Workers and volunteers then explain the process. Step 1; Grab some books. Step 2; Inspect the books for writing, tears or stickers. If the book is damaged, try to repair it or recycle it. Step 3; Clean it with a wet rag and dry off. Step 4; Categorize the book in 2 different boxes depending on if it has a bar code or not. There are also other bins for Spanish and Library books. Step 5; When you have filled a box someone grabs the box and puts in a bigger bin in the warehouse. Step 6; clean up your workstation! A few tips: You may want to wear vinyl or latex gloves when handling the books. Some had water damage and questionable stains.
