As seen, in my Pics The Gift Shop's items' isn't priced too badly; there were some items that I was considering, but you know how it is, after the Holidays, your bank account is pretty lean; I have a lot of people to buy for, I've got a large family. There were five Grinch- themed trees. Many of the trees were decorated very nicely. It's a beautiful sight to see. We went on the Carousel, and we did two rounds of Mini-Golf, which was fun. We also went down the Avalanche twice. Stringbean went three times. Gone are the years of seeing all of the Gingerbread Houses. Now, there are a lot of fundraising food/drink stands, I get it, it's an organization.

There was so much to do. They have the big giant awesome slide. The line was kinda long so we didn't do that. They had a Santa shop where you can have pics with Santa. Santa was so nice and we got good high quality pictures. We also tried the carousel and my grandson loved it. There were also lot of small shops that you. A buy small Cute stuff and trinkets. The Magical Forest is still MAGICAL! The lights are awesome and the train goes through it. Of course the highlight is the TRAIN and it went around the magical forest. This is an awesome place to go and the entrance is very affordable. The kids will love it. Advice to go early so you'll get to do everything. And try the hot cocoa and funnel cakes.

She has to be one of the most rude and disrespectful people that I have ever met. I spent 21 years in the Air Force and and still work for the gov and I pride myself in treating people with respect and understanding, and the way she acted towards myself and others at the Dress giveaway, just for walking down the incorrect hallway....she should not be in charge of any organization and I would be leary about donating to a person like that. All she had to do was explain the mistake/rules in a nice and respectful manner. I overheard others talking about the rudeness from her as well.

What a wonderful nonprofit organization dedicated to our homeless, disadvantaged high school youth…read more High school is hard enough to get through but when you are lacking the basics like food, clothing, hygiene items and school supplies it can be really difficult and depressing. That is where this place can help. They are able to assist and support our youth with being able to thrive and stay in school to graduate. They accept donations and appreciate volunteers. They provide classes such as job research, job prep, setting life goals, life after high school, financial skills and other educational help. This can really change a young persons life if they offered the right tools to succeed. Clothing is offered for free at the little store called Betty's Boutique on-site with a high school student ID. I was happy to donate my daughter's old prom and homecoming dresses to this organization in order for a needy youth to enjoy their upcoming formal dance. They also accept monetary donations as well. If you live in the Las Vegas, Henderson area please consider making a donation to this positive and impactful nonprofit.

You can register to volunteer on the website. https://spreadthewordnevada.org/volunteer-options/ They have several ways to Volunteer. We did the book preparation volunteering. Volunteer times are usually 2 hours on a Wednesday and Friday evenings from 6PM-8PM. When arriving at Spread the word it is good to know that you enter through a side door in a strip mall off of American Pacific and Gibson. Workers and volunteers then explain the process. Step 1; Grab some books. Step 2; Inspect the books for writing, tears or stickers. If the book is damaged, try to repair it or recycle it. Step 3; Clean it with a wet rag and dry off. Step 4; Categorize the book in 2 different boxes depending on if it has a bar code or not. There are also other bins for Spanish and Library books. Step 5; When you have filled a box someone grabs the box and puts in a bigger bin in the warehouse. Step 6; clean up your workstation! A few tips: You may want to wear vinyl or latex gloves when handling the books. Some had water damage and questionable stains.
