Be Prepared -- It's Not Your Average Thrift Store…read more I went to the Goodwill Clearance Center hoping to do some thrifting, and let me just say -- be prepared. Bring gloves. You'll be digging through a lot of stuff that isn't exactly clean. This place is basically where all the unsorted items go. They dump everything into large bins, and shoppers line up waiting for new bins to be rolled out. When that happens, it's pure chaos -- people rush in like it's Black Friday. One woman even started pushing me, and I had to push back multiple times. Some people can be really rude and aggressive. If you enjoy hunting for treasures in the middle of total disorder, this might be your thing. But if you prefer a structured, organized thrift store, you'll probably find this overwhelming. You pay by weight, not by item -- everything gets weighed at the end, and I think it's around 50¢ per pound. Some people walk out with a lot of stuff for cheap, but just know it's a true dig-and-sort experience, not a regular Goodwill setup.

This was my first time going to a savers and this location specifically was recommended. If you're…read morelike me and are new to the Saver's experience, here's my pros and cons, and what I wish I would've known before going in. Pros: - everyone that works at this location is pretty chill and very kind. - It's very very organized and the items in the shop are fairly decent looking/quality items (just a few items I noticed with oil and pit stains but not as many as when I shop at goodwill) - households items, books, and knickknacks were actually pretty cool here. Would come back specifically for these things. Cons: - There's NO changing room. Which, for a THRIFT store where there's no set sizes on some of the clothing or the wrong sizes listed on the tags, this was mind boggling. I spent 2 hours in there before i was informed they didn't have any. If you're like me and don't have a one-size fits all body, that is the BIGGEST drawback from this store. Better suited for resellers methinks. - The price for the clothing was a little steep for a thrift store. I spent $60 for 5 items, 3 of which were basic tees. - Bags cost money and they have 2 options, paper bag with no handles (was like $0.10) and the typical tote type bags that have handles and typically cost more money. Not the biggest issue but definitely didn't add anything to my experience there. I likely wouldn't ever shop at a Savers again unless I needed some cute knickknacks, and this location is definitely one I would go to for that. But for an avid clothing thrifter, this was a bummer of an experience.

I really like this location as they have a ton of items for sale here. I stopped by on 07/31/2024…read morearound 1:30pm looking for some books by Colleen Hoover. I ran into a staff member in the doorway who was really nice. Her name began with a G & was a unique name. She was very nice & helpful when I had some questions for her. I told her why I was there & what I was looking for. She told me they had lots of books & she was right! Out of all their books I only found one by Colleen Hoover & unfortunately it was one that I have already read. I did end up buying more books then I needed that sounded interesting by authors I haven't read before except one book that I have. I didn't really need any more books as I have enough @ home waiting to be read but when they have double 10% discount for First Responders on Wednesday & the tag color of the day it's hard not to buy them especially when their book prices are reasonable. I also found this nice, white cabinet for $12.99 that looks like it belonged to a little girl from the sticker that was on there. I can tell it was probably a lot more money when the owner bought it brand new. It does need some cleaning but nothing a wet cloth & soap/disinfectant spray can't fix. The only issue I had was once I left the store I went to go to their donation drop off to drop off a bag of donations & their drive up was a mess. It had a lot of stuff to each side & as I slowly was pulling in an employee told me to stop with a hand gesture & had an ugly look on his face. Like what a jerk so I backed up & went to a different GW location to drop off my donations. Who ever he was needs to not be so rude.
