There's no cliques, there's no competition, I HATE THAT SHIT- it ain't high school. It's just all love and support. And honestly, I don't even wanna go work out because I did my time. I've been working out hella long for hella years. I have nothing to prove, but I work out because I don't wanna age and I love to eat! So yes, I complain and I gripe because I don't wanna do the workout, but I do it and it's encouraging during the time I'm working out and I end up leaving with a smile on my face. What I don't love is the fact of doing floor exercises on the ground, but that's just me. I call it my prison workout.

I had a NutriPro blender cup jammed shut for DAYS. All my baby's food was locked inside. I carried it up and down my neighborhood asking grown men to open it--nobody could. I'm not the biggest fan of working out but I love going to her classes and feel accomplished after her workouts. The class sizes are small with anywhere from approx 2-6 people per session. You workout as a group but everything is personalized for each individual (Kim tells you how much weight to grab) and everything is done at your own pace so you don't have to worry about what level your fitness or strength is at... Just know you'll be getting stronger everyday from when you start! Many of the workouts include weights (dumbbells, kettle bells, etc), TRX/resistance bands, boxing, etc... Keeps the workout fun and challenging every time. If you have an injury or issue holding you back, Kim will modify a workout that's best for you. Give her a try, you won't be disappointed. Kim's hours are Monday-Friday 10:30-11:30am 11:30-12:30 4:00-5:00pm 5:00-6:00pm She also has a 3:00-4:00pm session on Fridays and 9:30-10:30 class on tues/thurs.

I work from home and have young children so Theo made it possible for me to keep my schedule and have an eye on my kids at the same time. He is very professional and you can tell he's a therapist too because we were able to address my motivation during times when I didn't want to exercise. He was able to switch up the exercises to keep me interested and adapting. We did Boot Camps, Circuit training, boxing (great mental release too!), and even did a few of our sessions in the pool because of his background teaching swimming lessons. Unfortunately I no longer live in the area but I would recommend him to anybody looking for a unique fitness experience and is well worth his price. I also heard he works as a senior fitness health specialist and I'm going to have him start working with my mother who is 65 years old when she gets out of physical therapy. Occasionally when I'm on the road I look for someone to assist me in my my exercise program and came across Theos personal training yelp page. He was able to come to my hotel and Gym for two personalized workouts during the time I was in town. I have a personal trainer back home, and it was great to have Theos psychotherapeutic influence in our training. It felt like a combination of therapy and exercise. I would imagine that he's a great personal trainer to have if you live in the Lafayette or Walnut Creek area and would absolutely recommend him to people who are in town visiting and looking for a trainer. Coach Sean and Coach Gabe have done an excellent job in teaching him the art of BJJ. My son says he will ALWAYS practice and looks forward to it on a daily basis. Sean has a strong work ethic and is very technical. He is an awesome teacher and a great leader for these kids. He lives by example. I was surprised, the kids willingly wanted to go to Coach Sean's class. They made good friends with the kids there, I've witnessed great progress with their BJJ techniques, I've seen their head coach's support for his team. The kids and adults compete on tournaments (if you are into competing) and they train you to win. I've tried their adults class too, and I am impressed how Coach Sean teach all the techniques and details. Definitely highly recommended! Their prices are reasonable too!
