My sister's medium boneless ribeye came out more rare than my medium rare and she finally had to settle for ribs! Which were actually edible. Biggest problem was the cutlery! The serrated steak knives were so dull and bent, you couldn't even cut a tender steak if you got one. If you can't even give your customers a decent knife, don't complain when they send back a steak. I give the manager credit for apologizing and doing what she could but Expats beware. If you're craving a good steak, save your $ and go to Wolfgang's. I understand that things are different here in the PI. I'm amazed that there is so much variety among restaurants. But it is not the fault of the locals when the restaurant company gives them cheap tools and products just to cut costs! Bad cooking is something else, though. A horrible experience at a Mesa restaurant actually made my wife go back in the kitchen and show the chef in training how to make adobo! Overall, I love the PI and the local cuisine. I think I'll stick to the chain restaurants that I know for certain are consistent.

Their newly-refurbished bistro and bar at its old Glorietta site overlooking the Park has been my favorite spot in the Ayala area since like, forever, and I go there with my friends whenever we would like to go for a filling dinner and some drinks. As with any Bistro Group restaurant, what is admirable about TGI Fridays is their huge servings. The food is enough to be shared with an entire table, and most of the time, the servings have lots of fixings, like salad and fries so that you can stretch it and really get the most value out of your money. The food is a bit pricey, but it's a price I would gladly pay for great quality and consistency. TGI Fridays for me has that awesome, homey feel that makes it easily likable, like your friendly neighborhood diner. Throughout the years, TGI Fridays has maintained its great quality for me, and it has become such a great place to just chill and eat and drink. Their menu also innovates every now and then, and they add new selections to their already impressive selection of bistro favorites. The bar also whips up some great cocktails , especially their all-you-can-drink mojitos. They say TGI Fridays invented the Happy Hour, and they do a really good happy hour selection of refreshing cocktails.

Boneless Buffalo Wild Wings and Boneless Buffalo Chicken Salad were equally tasty but I'm more on the first one for the spice and bleu cheese. Crispy Honey-Chipotle Chicken Crispers was my top choice. I used to order crispers plain with honey mustard but this one is special and I haven't tasted this at any other restaurant. Chili's has many food choices but this stands tall for my last visit. SERVICE And now for the grand finale...Service! One of my crispers was seemingly raw dead center but I asked Mac for some clarity. He agreed and had the entire dish changed without hesitation. Later, he was kind enough to give a heads-up that it would take give minutes. Meanwhile, he gave us a complimentary cup of queso, refilling our tostada chips altogether; such a kind gesture! I must add, we were relentless with that very tasty dip! Water refills were proactively served. Mac and his staff nailed it; terrific customer service! And to end this with a bang, our takeout came with an unexpected bag loaded with Tostada Chips! :)

Kids seem to love the sinfully tasty American food consisted of burgers, nachos, fries, wings and the like. Admittedly, I celebrated my 20th birthday here a long time ago. What makes it perfect for parties is the lively feel of the place and the large portions of food making it good for sharing. The classic nachos have just the right amount of cheese, jalapeños, beans, beef, guacamole and sour cream dip. Just thinking about it makes me crave for it! There is also the popular choice of wings over buffalo that most kids and adults get. Kids dont mind getting their hands messy! Since the food can be on the heavy side, the fajitas would be a good choice for something healthier compared to everything else. But savs some space for dessert because you MUST try the High and Mighty pie. It's sinful, it's sweet but so worth every calorie.

This is a really unique international concept with probably the best view of the Venice Grand…read moreCanal. Of course they specialize in Meatballs. The twist here is you get to create your own meals. You choose a style (rice, pasta or bread); your flavor of meatballs (classic or Swedish); the sauce of your choice (marinara, bechamel, gravy, BBQ & more); and then load it up with as many toppings as you like. My favorite is the Breakfast of Champions with 3 meatballs served over Java rice with mushroom gravy, crispy bacon and a fried egg on top. It's great for lunch or dinner too. They recently updated their menu and added several new interesting dishes. The Great Meatball is a giant (think baseball size) meatball stuffed with gooey mozzarella cheese, fried until crispy and tired with marinara and bechamel sauces. If you love meatballs or even just meat, this is the dish to try! For a healthier option their Sangria Glazed Salmon is delicious with a wonderful sweet & savory glaze that really compliments the fish. Since it's Venice, almost all the restaurants here serve pizzas. As part of their new menu The Meatball Revolution now serves red tomato tortilla crust Pizzas. They're super thin and crispy and are great for sharing. If you love pizza it's definitely something new with trying. For desserts they have ice cream cookie sandwiches with freshly baked cookies and homemade ice cream. But my favorite is their newest dessert the Brownie Supreme. If you love chocolate, you will love this dessert! It's a freshly baked brownie tired with homemade vanilla ice cream & shaved chocolate. For drinkers they serve bottomless margaritas, mojitos and sangria. For the kids (or anyone in the mood for something sweet) they serve milkshakes and floats using their homemade ice creams. Service is very attentive and the staff are always friendly. The ambiance has a cool modern look to it. Since they're located at the end of the canal right where the gondolas turn around, they have one of the best views of any restaurant here. Highly recommend!

The place has a very unassuming façade which looks more like a garage than a restaurant. But once you're inside, you will be surprised to find that the place is huge and is full of collectible vintage items. It really is amazing, from the vinyl records to the old plate numbers to the old movie posters, there's just so much to see in there. But it isn't just a place to visit for the décor. They have amazing food as well. So I'm just going to get this out there: Their nachos are the bomb! I've had nachos in big fancy restaurants, but they don't even compare to what Fat Frank's has to offer. It has meat. It has cheese. It has sour cream. It has salsa. It has jalapenos. It has all the good things you want in a huge order of nachos. If you're looking for a great date place where you can save money (but really don't want to look cheap), this is it. Just fill up on the nachos and their creamy, lovely milkshakes and you're pretty much set. An order of entrée is just icing on the cake...trust me, by the time you get to the main dish, you're already full. I highly recommend Fat Frank's to anyone into the American Diner feel and taste.

It was a very nice place, as you might imagine, a restaurant and bar on the 30th floor of a luxury hotel in BGC. It had a sort of American whiskey cowboy theme, though with the golden grandeur of the Shangri-La. The bar was pretty quiet at 10:00 on a Saturday night. Other than our table, the only guests I noticed were a very old white man and his very young Asian escort, who I do hope was being paid handsomely for her time. Service was polite and attentive, and we enjoyed a relaxing round to mark the end of our trip. My friend Nick L. was kind enough to buy. We got snack buckets of spiced popcorn when we sat down, then ordered ourselves some cocktails from the book-sized leather-bound menu. I had the Last Runner, a complicated milk punch with black and white rum, jasmine green tea, pineapple juice, passionfruit, milk, and calamansi juice. It was quite boozy and delicious, garnished with a charred slice of pineapple. I also admired my friend Bong C.'s Cowboy Old Fashioned, with Raging Bull bourbon, sherry wine, and vanilla. It came in a giant glass bottle filled with smoke, and he poured it himself into the accompanying old fashioned glass. We hung out for an hour then went to sleep, and I left for the airport the next morning. I had a great time in Manila thanks to my travel mates, and I was glad for this one last drink at Raging Bull.
