We spent a good hour trying to connect and had to call twice. The second time that we called, the owners had already left the premises (around 5:30 pm) so they had to come back and we had to wait some more. We then had to switch to a smaller room just because wifi could not be reached in our original room. It was a rough start to our trip and took up a fair amount of time that could've been spent doing something (anything) else.

Simply put, here are the pros and cons; Pro: beautiful, ski-in/ski-out lodge, direct access to the Sugarloaf village, large hot tub outside that overlooks the mountain, not too unreasonable price wise (not cheap, but you are right on the mountain with amazingly close parking) and charming vibe Cons: the check-in procedure is insane. They won't let you check in until 4pm on the dot. I totally understand if they are still cleaning the rooms, but if the rooms are clean and ready to go, just let people check in at like 2 or 3. During covid, it makes zero sense to have a line of 15-20 parties all waiting to check in at the same time. We had a small baby, and there were also several old people checking in. It just seemed asinine to create a policy that goes completely against all common sense during a global pandemic. Anyway, other cons were; the room was so tiny (which isn't horrible, but there were barely any clothing hooks, shelves or drawers to put stuff in-- and who doesn't have a lot of sh--t when they are on a ski trip!?!) and the housekeeping was pretty invisible (I'm fine with not getting room service during a pandemic, but can you at least pick up my trash and give me some towels!?!). So, obviously the pros outweigh the cons, but, the cons did take away from the comfort of our stay. However, I did have a great stay. If I return, I would just come an hour or two later to check in (if it's during covid), and I'd splurge for a larger room.

The best part was the very short and pleasant walk down the hill and over the bridge into Kingfield. I love being able to walk to dinner or out to a bar after dinner. This is the place I will stay in Kingfield next time I go. I can't give five stars because I didn't have breakfast.

Having inquired as to my activities in the area, they remembered the details and brought in up in conversation whenever we ran into each other. A nice personal touch. I stayed at campsite #9 "Double Decker" and it was the perfect size for my medium sized tent and large SUV. It came with a fire pit and picnic table. When you first round the bend, the campsites seem squeezed in there but the site itself felt pretty private once I settled in and I was not bothered by the full campground surrounding me. Quiet hours by 10pm made getting rest for my weekend activities easy peasy. As a solo camper, I felt very safe here. The nearby lounge area had a television, kitchen w. oven, range, refrigerator, and freezer, television, electrical outlets, games and more. Toilets and coin-operated showers were on the backside of this building. I don't mind pay showers but wished I got a little bit more time for my first four quarters as I was scrambling to put more in as I rushed through each visit. Bring plenty with you if you like to take your time. Firewood available for purchase (delivered to your campsite!) along with some other staples. Would absolutely stay here again. And again. And again.

First impression was great!! Cozy good sized rooms for great prices!! Full kitchen in our room! Bathroom was nice and we had two queen beds!! TV and cable and a beautiful deck. Close to Sugarloaf! Place was so adorable and comfy that my fiance proposed to me here!! Made it even more special. The family that owns it are very sweet and were happy we stayed and congratulated us! :) Can't wait to stay here on our anniversary! :)

I made him stand outside of the bathroom door as I showered. I was unable to stand up in the shower fully and I am only 5'6". My boyfriend took a walk on the property and looked in one of the buildings set up like a little antique gallery and found a man sleeping on a mattress. It is suggested that you wear wool instead of turning up the thermostat in your room. You can hear every little noise happening throughout the house at night. There was a box fan that was provided that we used to make white noise, but it was still difficult to sleep. We walked through the kitchen in the morning (where her animals are eating and hanging out) and found it to be pretty dirty. I was chastised for not filling out my breakfast form correctly. We left as soon as we could. Our entire stay was extremely uncomfortable and honestly I feel it's my duty to warn others, so I am writing this review at the risk of a rude response. It is very possible we were not the right "fit" for this kind of place, but I have stayed at other B&Bs without these kinds of issues. One positive is that they are dog-friendly, which was one of the main reasons we chose it.

Pros: -Lisa, the innkeeper, is very nice and professional and always willing to help. -Breakfasts were amazing and there were many choices. -Great view out of the eating area. -Location: close to little town with shopping, gas station, ski-shop outlet, Sugarloaf, Saddleback -Our room was very comfortable: the bed, the room itself, the bathroom, pillows/blankets, etc. -Rooms are newly renovated, it seemed. -Great hot water. -Quiet and peaceful sitting area for guests. -Friendly doggies. -Helen the hen greets you in the mornings. Cons: -Doggies, while friendly, can be a little rambunctious - for those who love dogs, like us, we didn't mind a bit, but for those who might not enjoy dogs, this might be frustrating. -We got back to the Inn on Christmas Eve night (between 10pm and 10:30pm, I'd say), the door for the Inn stayers was locked...I don't think there was a curfew so I'm not sure why it was locked. We went in through another front door that was luckily unlocked. I'm not sure what we would have done without being able to get in. -The bedrooms had a slight smell of animals. It wasn't so bad, but given my fiance's severe cat allergy, this did make his nose stuffy on night #1.
