Motel was booked solid so I went with a campsite this time around and I am so glad I did. Check-in was again a breeze and the staff are just so nice. Having inquired as to my activities in the area, they remembered the details and brought in up in conversation whenever we ran into each other. A nice personal touch. I stayed at campsite #9 "Double Decker" and it was the perfect size for my medium sized tent and large SUV. It came with a fire pit and picnic table. When you first round the bend, the campsites seem squeezed in there but the site itself felt pretty private once I settled in and I was not bothered by the full campground surrounding me. Quiet hours by 10pm made getting rest for my weekend activities easy peasy. As a solo camper, I felt very safe here. The nearby lounge area had a television, kitchen w. oven, range, refrigerator, and freezer, television, electrical outlets, games and more. Toilets and coin-operated showers were on the backside of this building. I don't mind pay showers but wished I got a little bit more time for my first four quarters as I was scrambling to put more in as I rushed through each visit. Bring plenty with you if you like to take your time. Firewood available for purchase (delivered to your campsite!) along with some other staples. Would absolutely stay here again. And again. And again.

Great Prices...great rooms!!!…read more We got engaged here!!! Came up for Vaca and stayed over night here until my fiance's family camp renters checked out so we could spend the week there! First impression was great!! Cozy good sized rooms for great prices!! Full kitchen in our room! Bathroom was nice and we had two queen beds!! TV and cable and a beautiful deck. Close to Sugarloaf! Place was so adorable and comfy that my fiance proposed to me here!! Made it even more special. The family that owns it are very sweet and were happy we stayed and congratulated us! :) Can't wait to stay here on our anniversary! :)

Each year we see a few new updates like flat screen tv's or over the range microwaves, but the cabins still maintain their homey, well decorated rustic feel. If you enjoy a classic on the lake vacation with canoes, a nice dock, nearby hiking and fishing, then this is the place for you. There are also some cute shops and places for lunch in the little town of Rangeley. Chris and Ralph are long time owners who take great care of the place and are sure to see that the cabins are stocked with plenty of kitchen ware and clean sheets and towels. I definitely recommend a family vacation here if you want to unplug and enjoy the outdoors.

Almost immediately I decided I wanted to stay a second night and frankly I want to move in...but 2 days is all I could swing this trip. I stayed in Cabin 6 which could hold a family of 4 (There's a loft and a bedroom for sleeping. I guess in a pinch someone could sleep on the couch/futon). I love my efficient little cabin. There TV, a decent kitchen, a nice bathroom (not too small), a wood stove, kitchen table and flat screen TV in the corner. The property is amazing...all the cabins are up a hill from the lake. There are a few docks, a small beach, a shed for the water toys/boats and what not. On the docks/floating platforms are chase lounges made of wood as well as adirondack chairs, all with cushions. It's great to lounge and look onto one of the nicest lakes in the state and even the country. Never been to Rangeley before this trip but I will be back ASAP! The whole lake is beautiful but I do really like this property as well as it's location (10 minutes or less from Oquossic-which has the sporting museum and a few good restaurants: 45th Parallel and The Ginger Bread House). It's about 10-12 in the other direction of Downtown Rangeley. So many great views, drives, hikes and places to eat. Plan at least 3 nights, more if you can. You could easily spend a few days just enjoying the property and making your own meals. Big fan of Hunter Cove Camp.

We asked if they could take us which they obviously could since there were many empty tables! We had just gone through Oquossic restaurants and all had an average of 45-90 minutes to wait! We were heading back to Rangeley when my father mentioned the Inn. The atmosphere is old fashioned rustic and the dining room is classy with linen table clothes and napkins and oil lamps on the tables for lighting. The building has a musty odor going downstairs for the bathrooms and Inn rooms. Dark paneling lines the hallways and the ladies room has a "powdering" area which you don't see very often. A great country club atmosphere over all. Only down part was on that at the end of an 80 degree day they had no AC! I do have to say though that although I wasn't refreshed by cold air, the fans and opened doorway did help. We all felt relaxed and happy we came here opposed to the hectic and very busy other places we had been. We ordered our drinks and looked over the menu. There were a few appetizers, several entree's, and only one dessert listed on the evenings specials list. We ordered the special Lobster Rosetto, Veal piccata, and the Alaskan Sockeye Salmon. The lobster was wonderful, creamy texture and plenty of lobster. The veal was very good, clean plates. The Salmon was dry and not very hot. Black beans that accompanied were ok but didn't like with the Salmon. We enjoyed the rum bread pudding dessert special at the end of our meal. Sue was our waitress and thought she was fast, friendly, and professional in helping us with our meal.

Unfortunately, our stay was very disappointing. **The location was the only positive.** We…read moreexperienced numerous issues with cleanliness, maintenance, communication, and customer service. One of my biggest concerns was the **unexpected 4% credit-card fee**. When I made the reservation, I specifically asked for the total cost and was not told about this additional charge. Had I known, I would have paid another way. Instead of acknowledging the lack of communication, the owner said that everyone is charged the fee. The issue is not that everyone pays it--it is that **I specifically asked for the total and was not informed of the fee.** The cabin itself was disappointing. It smelled **musty**, the windows were outdated and difficult to open, the couch had a **large hole and dog hair**, and the living-room rug had **multiple burn holes**. The kitchen was also not properly prepared, as all the dishes were still in the dishwasher when we arrived. The waterfront was difficult to enjoy due to numerous ducks, feathers, and droppings throughout the property and around the docks**. Boats were everywhere, our dock was smaller and very close to the others, and unlike the other cabins, ours faced the grass and marina rather than the lake. The included kayaks were also unusable because one paddle was broken and there were no usable replacements**. After waiting about 25 minutes, we were ultimately encouraged to use the broken paddle. There were additional maintenance concerns, including standing water around the cabin, a rusty pipe with unknown water coming from it, and a large open basement area containing rusty materials, buckets, and debris** that appeared potentially unsafe for children or pets. Check-in was also not a good first impression. We arrived around 2:50 p.m., and although check-in was at 3:00, no one was there. I was told the person responsible was out running errands and would return soon. What was most disappointing was the lack of ownership and customer service when we brought these concerns forward**. Instead of feeling that our concerns were taken seriously, we felt that excuses were made and responsibility was avoided. For the price, we expected a clean, well-maintained property, functioning amenities, accurate pricing, and professional customer service. Unfortunately, we did not receive that. The location was the only thing this property had going for it, and that alone was not enough. I would not stay here again and cannot recommend it based on our experience.
