My daughter has to get a patty every time we visit, and I never leave without one of their homemade juices. The owner is always friendly and welcoming whenever I see him, which keeps me coming back. The food is consistently worth the wait and worth every penny. Speaking of waits, service can be a little slow at times, so I recommend calling ahead or visiting when you're not in a rush. It makes the experience much more enjoyable. The only reason I'm giving a strong 4 stars instead of 5 is the customer service from some of the staff. While not everyone falls into this category, many of the employees can come across as a bit reserved. Once you engage with them, they're usually pleasant, but a few more smiles and a warmer atmosphere would really elevate the experience. I'd love to walk in one day and feel the vibrant, welcoming island energy reflected throughout the restaurant. That said, I'll definitely keep coming back for those wings!

I have no idea where I first heard about this place, but I'm so glad I found it…read more Right after we ordered, the server brought over what looked like simple grilled pieces of bread. I was trying to save room for the main course, but there was something so delicious about those unassuming little bites. They were warm, slightly crisp, and completely addictive. We came specifically for the lunch specials, and they did not disappoint. I had my eye on the Piccadilly, a flavorful mix of ground meat with spices, potatoes, and what I believe were raisins and olives. It comes with white rice and black beans, but you can have them mixed together, which is absolutely the way to go. The combination of savory and slightly sweet flavors was fantastic. My only small wish is that it came with a few more sweet plantains on the side. My husband ordered the Cuban sandwich, which comes with a side. We chose fries and iced tea, and they generously brought us BOTH large iced teas. The sandwich itself was huge, easily big enough to take half home. It was perfectly grilled, warm, and melty. If I could change one thing, it would be to make the bread a bit smaller while keeping all that delicious filling. This place is also a great value. Definitely worth stopping by and checking out.

The curry chicken had decent flavor but there were so much bones it was hard to eat. The red beans and rice was not very seasoned, if at all. The beef patty was good though!! RJH has been my list of places to visit since it opened 2 years ago. I was in Texas for work when I…read moreheard it was opening but left before I could try it. So how good was RJH?? Worth the flight from NY to San Antonio then the 4.5 hour drive from San Antonio there! And yes! The reason for the trip WAS RJH! My friend and I went in Monday around 6:30pm. We were greeted immediately as we walked in and given the option of seating. It was pretty empty with the exception of one other person at the bar and some people coming in for takeout. It's a really big place and it's beautiful in here. LOVE the big Bob Marley/Jamaican flag mural in the back that's also visible from outside. The service was really good. Everything came out quickly and was hot and fresh! We also chatted it up with the owner Adrian who is amazing! Drinks: we went with the rum punch and stuck with it. We had 3-4 rounds and it def punched us at the end of the night! Lol it's the perfect balance of strong and tasty. Food: we started with the Escovitch and RJH Honey BBQ Jerk wings. The Escovitch was soo bomb! I'm not a fan of BBQ sauce but I did try those and will say it was a good balance and the BBQ sauce wasn't overpowering. For entrees we had the "tour of Jamaica" and the Escovitch whole red snapper. The tour of Jamaica is a great idea because it allows you to sample the oxtail, curry goat, and jerk chicken without having to purchase 3 different meals. It's also served with white rice or rice and peas, festival, and steamed cabbage. The oxtails were the star of the tour! It was perfectly seasoned and tender, and came right off the bone! The goat was really good too. I didn't try the jerk chicken. The snapper was my entree and the only thing that was left on my plate were the bones and the lime garnish! It was soo good! I ate the head and everything else! We fully enjoyed our food and dining experience. I will definitely be back and would definitely recommend RJH for any occasion. They also have a happy hour Monday-Friday 3-7pm.

The vibe was nice. You must make a reservation! This is what I enjoyed: Side of Lamb chops: 10/10 tender, meaty, nice smoky and sweet flavor, well seasoned. Side of Mac and cheese: 6/10 a bit dry, needs a bit more seasoning, if both of these things were not an issue it would be perfect. Oxtails and jollof rice: 10/10 oxtails were full of flavor and enjoyable. They could have been a bit more tender. Overall the flavor carried it to a perfect 10. The rice is seasoned and a bit smokey and cooked to the perfect doneness. Table bread: 9/10 puff puff style bread. They were fluffy on the inside and crispy on the outside. Brought out first and provided with every meal. It had a sweet seasoning mix on it. The mix to me was more for after dinner instead of right before the meal. Dusse mimosa: 10/10 nice and stout. I prefer Dusse over Hennessy which is what was on the menu. Jerk chicken: 10/10 flavorful wings. Jerk seasoning was there and not too spicy. Cooked just right and not dry. Collard greens: 6/10 savory flavor. I am a collard greens specialist and I prefer a sweet and hot profile. Although these are just savory they were cooked to the correct tenderness. Candied yams: 10/10 get blend of cinnamon and sweet flavor. Cooked perfectly.

The collard greens were awful, and the rice tasted like boxed or store-bought rice. The salmon was actually good, but the portion was ridiculously small for the price. The atmosphere was just as disappointing. At 2 PM, the music was so loud it felt more like a nightclub than a restaurant. When the band went on break, the music and videos playing felt more appropriate for a strip club. Then the band came back praising God. The whole vibe was confusing, to say the least. Small portions, big prices, mediocre food, and a confused atmosphere. Fusion Vibes just wasn't for us. We will not be returning.
