Gotta say best deal on Thai in LA. Crab fried rice was the best! Pad see ew was pretty good too

We randomly stumbled upon this place, and not only was it a really cute restaurant, but all of the dishes we ordered were flavorful and tasty! The drunken noodles were pretty spicy, without being overpowering, which I really liked. The pad Thai was saucy which was unique and it worked well in my opinion. We also got the kra pow, which was also spicy with lots of flavor. Lastly, the servers and workers were so kind and accommodated and warm, which definitely made the experience better.

Ordered on Doordash, and the ambiance of my apartment is always perfect haha. The food came quickly, which I appreciated, but though I requested them, I received no utensils - annoying. Didn't like the thai iced tea, but that's minor. The spring rolls were tasty, but the sauce was not, so I ended up eating them plain. The Orange Chicken was good, but a bit on the sweet side. While eating this meal, I started to think that it'd probably be better AT the restaurant. Overall, I'm interested to test my theory and see if I have a better experience dining in.

We visited here today with a friend. I had the Kao Soi Kai Curry. The curry was good. Came with noodles and a chicken thigh. Unfortunately, I didn't have a knife, so I had to take the chicken (and leftover curry home), as there wasn't an easy way to eat it. Yes, i could have asked for a knife, but I'll have chicken for dinner. My wife had the Drunken Noodles. She wasn't terribly impressed, but she finished it. Our friend had the chow mein. He enjoyed it. The server was nice and efficient. The restaurant was comfortable and quiet.

Wanted to try a new Thai spot and glad I picked Her Thai! The orange chicken was delicious - compared to Panda Express, the sauce is lighter/not as thick. Also got the pad see ew with mixed vegetables and it was a decent portion size

Very nice and welcoming little restaurant. The service was fast and the waitress was very nice. I really enjoyed the sauce that they had on the side with this ribeye steak. It has a very interesting taste. I'm a big lover of Thai food and finding this place was very pleasant. Definitely coming back whenever I'm in the area.

Really cute and fun restaurant. I had the tom yum soup (vegetarian option) and it was some of the best i've ever had. Nice heat and lots of rich and sour flavor. Rice not included. Service was also friendly and helpful. Limited seating inside (5-6 tables) but they so have some patio seating available.

Drunken noodles are extremely spicy! The dish was covered in chili seeds. I'm currently trying to make it through the dish. I ordered for the first time ever on Wednesday and was craving another dish today. I did not expect it to be this flavorful!

This is my second time here and what a thoroughly enjoyable experience! First of all the service is fantastic. Everyone was wonderful and the owner was even bussing tables and making sure everyone was having a good time. We got the Tiger dog and the wontons to start with. Both incredibly tasty. We had the drunken noodle and the curry. The curry sauce was absolutely insane! Would drizzle that on literally everything. Ended the night with the sticky mango rice. The perfect end to my night. Lots of to go orders came in and out while we were seated so I can foresee myself doing that in the future. It's a cute little place with a few tables and bar seating. Perfect casual place! Parking can be a bit rough but there's a lot one block north and one block west. Will definitely return!

We tried Her Thai, and it was enjoyable. Chicken Larb was good. Lots of mint, cilantro and lime seasoning. Pad See Ew with ribeye was flavorful. $20 price tag was a little tough; but we always get beef with this dish, so had to take the $4 upcharge for the beef. Fried Rice with Shrimp was good. Also $4 up charge for shrimp. Lychee Mint Tea is delicious! Daughter loved it. We enjoyed our Thai Ice Teas. Customer service was top notch! There are only a couple tables inside and a few outside on the patio, but feels comfy and warm.

I'm always on the lookout for good Thai Food. When I realized this place is from the same owners of "Met Him at a Bar" and "Met Her at a Bar", I had to try it. I had the Pad Thai with chicken. Portion size was decent and it was good. The space itself is pretty small and usually really busy in the evening. Street parking is limited, especially with all the construction going on. I'll be adding this into my food delivery rotation.

The regular menu is quite expensive with the cheapest at $17 for appetizer and salad options and most expensive at a whooping $80. The lunch menu was more affordable but still on the pricey side $21-$32 with add on options. The waitress was taking our orders and what surprised me was with my co-worker ordered the pad see ew and the waitress asked her how spicy she wants it. I was aw shocked. I'm not a Thai food expert but I do know pad see ew is a noodles dish that's offers a sweet soy sauce flavor. Never served spicy. I didn't get to try the dish but when I asked my co worker how it taste she said it was spicy and not sweet at all. I'm not sure that was an authentic pad see ew. I ordered from the lunch menu and got the tumeric chicken, with steamed vegetables and paid extra $7 to substitute for a papaya salad. I asked for #2 spice level but it was not spicy at all. Other co workers said they asked for medium but it was way too spicy. So it looks like their spicy levels are inconsistent. I'm not sure how this restaurant can justify the prices with the quality they are serving. Probably won't be back. Service was mediocre. Didn't offer to refill our waters. The rice was piping hot and the mangos were sweet and soft, drizzled with a generous serving of sweet coconut milk. Personally, the rice was a bit too soft for me and the coconut milk was a tad too sweet, but it still scratched the itch I had for mango sticky rice. I went close to closing so the staff could only offer me takeout, which was fine. They were friendly both over the phone and in-person when I picked up my order. I'm only dinging it a point because of its high(er) price point. I would be down to go back again to try out their entrees next time though!

I felt like I came to eat and my mom's house. They take Debit Card and Apple Pay WITH a pin only. I forgot my wallet and paid with Apple Pay. It did not have a place for tip which made me feel awful. At the end I apologized and she was like "it's ok, next time." And she was genuinely fine with it. She reassured me not to worry about it. So I'm determined to come back to tip her because if anybody deserved a tip it was her. I ordered Pad Thai with tofu- I like to order peanut sauce on the side and the woman found it interesting and struck a non judgmental conversion about it. I could really tell she was genuinely curious. This was my favorite dish. It was good. I also ordered spicy fried rice with tofu and spicy panang curry with vegetables. I chose 4 out of a 6 for spicy and it was not spicy at all for me. The rice was fine, nothing extraordinary and nothing bad. The panang curry was yummy. I don't know if it's regional but it was very light in taste and light in thickness. BUT I enjoyed it for what it was. Felt like I had gotten home made chicken soup or something like that comforting and not overly processed. Maybe it's because I ordered it with no protein and just vegetables. I ordered a lot of food so I explained to her that I was going to eat some and take the rest to go. When she brought the food she brought it nicely packed without a bag. She also brought me a real plate and utensils to eat here. She let me know that when I was ready she'd bring a bag which I thought was thoughtful. She also made sure to say "take your time, no need to rush. We close at 8" and it was 5pm. Again, it felt genuinely nurturing, she wanted to make sure I felt taken care of and welcomed. It meant a lot because I was frazzled from forgetting my wallet and from having a hard day at work. This was my first time here and it won't be my last. There is a small lot on site. Prices were very reasonable.

Both dishes were absolutely delicious--fresh, flavorful, comforting, and beautifully prepared. Honestly, I wish we had more time because we had another appointment downtown. I would have loved to try more dishes and definitely dessert! Our server was wonderful--friendly, attentive, and incredibly professional. He checked on us at just the right moments without ever feeling intrusive. The service was as impressive as the food. The restaurant has such a warm, relaxing atmosphere. I especially loved the beautiful ceramic water cups with bird designs--they were so unique and charming. Even the water tasted wonderful! I'm thrilled that Au Lac is still thriving after all these years. If anything, the food tasted even better than I remembered. I certainly won't wait another 12 years before coming back. In fact, I was so impressed that I convinced my husband to come with me next Saturday for dinner! I've tried many vegan restaurants over the years, and Au Lac remains my absolute favorite. My favorite on the Westside is Variable Café, but if you're willing to drive a little farther, Au Lac is on another level. I can't recommend this restaurant highly enough.
