I pulled down the ceiling below the 2nd floor bath completely exposing the leak, I made a 4'X4' access area. I pointed out the leak. The plumber saw that it was at a sodered connection of the steel drain pipe. I was very clear about the fact that I was hiring a professional because I wished to maintain the antique look above the floor where the drain is exposed. He agreed. He cut off the pipe but could not figure out a way to reconnect it. He took all the parts with him and said that he would discuss it with the other plumbers and get back to us next week. Someone called to get approval for a $500+ dollar expense for parts. They could not estimate the cost of labor at that time. We felt like they were asking us for a blank check. I requested my parts back and was charged 2.5 hours labor for what amounted to him cutting off the pipe that I exposed for him. $275. The connecting piece of pipe was not returned. What I was given liked 4 inches reaching the bathtub drain. I went to the local hardware and purchased a boot and piece of pvc and a rubber coupling and fixed it myself in 30 minutes for $15 not counting the trip two blocks to the hardware store. But now I have an ugly black boot sticking up through the floor which is the only reason I hired a professional company. I didn't want it to be ugly. We have been using A&D for 10 years to keep our now 20 year old Geothermal system running. During…read morethat time we had to have some parts replaced such as the blower motor and water circulation pumps and the old girl was starting to show her age. Last Fall I bought a new high efficiency 5 ton unit from a manufacture /supplier and Dan, Jen and the crew installed it over a two day period. Problems inherent to the unit materialized immediately but Dan worked very hard to get the unit running in heat mode well enough to get us through last winter without a hitch. This involved having to troubleshoot the unit, talk with the manufacture then return to fit parts supplied under warranty. Then the days started getting warmer again. The unit just would not cool correctly. A number of service visits and calls to the manufacture ensued until there service department at the manufacture's factory declared the TXV defective and supplied a new valve and filter which Dan had to install by brazing it into the lines after he had cut the old units out. This was a big job; the refrigerant had to be recovered, the parts installed, the system vacuumed down and then recharged. This seems to have corrected our cooling problems and we are back to having full AC after only having about 75% cooling during the worst of this summer. The labor was not covered by the manufacture and Dan covered us out of his own pocket under his company's 1 year full warranty. You just do not get this sort of service from most companies today. If you need plumbing, heating, air conditioning, heat pump including geothermal heat pump installation or service you will not find a better company or people. Thank you guys, P&D

I finally found found Advanced plumbing and septic systems. What a blessing. Bruce answered the phone. He informed me of everything he would be inspecting. How the process would work. He was very friendly, informative and patient. He answered all my questions with very thorough answers. For me that meant the world as I had no knowledge of septic systems. He was able to schedule me within a week on a day that I requested. During the inspection Bruce discovered there were a lot of issues. He detailed all of them in a report that I received the next day. Where Bruce went above and beyond was when he called me the night of him doing the inspection and talked me through everything he found. The information was priceless. I had a lot of questions after talking to my realtor and negotiating with the sellers. Bruce walked me through what a whole new system should look like and what it should entail for this home. The call was about 45 minutes long. He did all of this knowing the seller did not want to use him to put in the new system. They wanted someone who was not representing me. I was then able to make sure the company the seller hired were providing an adequate system. It is rare these days to find someone who cares about their craft so much. Who has so much knowledge and experience. Willing to share it to make sure the customer gets everything they pay for. Bruce has been a lifesaver. I am very blessed I found him. It's always scary to try an decide on a company for a service when you're in need. I searched around for reviews, and based on the feedback decided to try Adam's Plumbing. I had to leave a message and received a response within an hour. They made it the same day. They were quick to assess and quick to resolve three unrelated issues. It's been a week and everything is working smoothly. I was quoted a price up front and the price was very fair and economical.
