But the 2 piece band was fun and pretty good. American Idols? No, but live music to chill out with, definitely! Parking is tight during the peak dining hours of the 2 restaurants but we walked out of Anthony's at 9:30 and it seemed like there were a few open spots. There are some Elvis photos and dare I say "shrine " LOL but my husband got a kick out of it. After all, Elvis was here in the 50 or 60's when he was seeing a Biloxi girl. I'm searching Yelp, and don't quite find a clear front runner. So, I change my search to "cocktail bar" and Butler's pops up. I didn't quite trust it as there are plenty of bars in the area between Ocean Springs and D'Iberville, but I wanted an extensive bourbon and whiskey selection for the hubs, no crap! I checked out the photos and zeroed in. Upon arrival, I was completely shocked to find out that it's inside a casino resort. I missed that in my search. It's hidden in plain sight! First and foremost, who knew there were sprawling casinos situated behind residential neighborhoods in Mississippi?! Wow! -- I digress. We committed and we went for it. I'm so glad we did! We were immediately greeted by Josh, bartender extraordinaire, and the rest is history. Remember that extensive bourbon and whiskey selection we were looking for? ... FOUND IT! Butler's literally has it all, and Josh is the perfect handler! He's knowledgeable about the different brands, aging processes, and truly proved himself to be an expert in the field. Aside from the bar, Josh suggested that we sign up for rewards (which we did) and try the food (which we did as well). Overall, he's a team player and made us feel at home. We initially planned to stop in for drink or two, and ended up playing a few slots, and staying for dinner. All in all, our introductory trip to Butler's definitely won us over, and we'll be back soon!

Inside, it was very cold and pretty smoky, which took away from the experience. The place felt a bit divey and had potential to be nicer if it were cleaner and more comfortable. That said, the drink prices were reasonable, and the pool tables were fairly priced at about $10 an hour. Service was okay, nothing great, nothing terrible. The restrooms weren't too bad and were acceptable for a late-night spot. Overall, it's fine if you're just looking for somewhere to shoot pool and have a cheap drink, but the atmosphere could definitely be improved with better temperature control, less smoke, and a more welcoming environment.
