Absolutely fantastic bar! It's hip, smells amazing, casual yet sophisticated, and the drinks are quality. Had an amazing bar staff and they happened to be doing music trivia that day which was so much fun! Love the town, love the bar, will be back.

We initially were going to a sports bar across the street when Whiskey and Ashe caught our eye. What a great find and experience. Spoiler alert I like cigars and bourbon and Whiskey and Ashe exceeded my expectations. They have a wall of bourbon and rye plus and additional spirits and beer for non-brown liquor drinkers. since we were the only ones in the bar our bartender took excellent care of us. We had many samples and the local Louisiana Seven Three Distillery rye was one of my favorites. If you want a smoke they have a fully stocked humidor and cigar specials. There is a very comfortable outside area with TVs. We all agreed that if Whiskey and Ashe were in our area, we would live here! Since we were ride sharing we spent the afternoon here, ordered food from next door and shared it with our bartender/bourbon guide. Plus one is now a bourbon drinker (sort of) as she was introduced to a bourbon espresso martini. Wow, it was delicious.! Our bartender, Griffin, was young but so knowledgeable and he expertly guided us through our tastings. Pro tip: If Griffin your bartender tell him the folks from Austin said he needs to tell you his apple joke.

She was friendly, sharp, and knew the menu and the bourbon list like a sommelier who also grew up at in her parent's restaurant/bar. Let's talk about the $34 steak night deal -- I came in expecting "good for the price." What I got was "I'm suspicious this kitchen loves me personally." My steak was cooked absolutely perfectly and seasoned so well I considered hugging the chef. The Caesar salad was crisp and classic, the kind that makes you feel like you're being healthy right before you absolutely abandon that plan. Let's talk about the MVP now -- the sweet potato mash with candied pecans. I would like to publicly apologize to my steak because it was no longer the star of the plate. I would order a full bowl of the sweet potato mash if I could. The Bourbon of the Month (Barrell Dovetail) paired ridiculously well. Smooth, rich, and dangerous -- the kind of pour that convinces you that you've made excellent life decisions. I finished with the king cake bread pudding which was the perfect mic drop to the meal especially on Fat Tuesday. This is hands down the best steakhouse I've found in the city. Great food, great service, great pours, super clean restaurant and bar-- Bourbon on Front is officially a "I am coming back and bringing friends" place.

I had the best meal that I have had in Hattiesburg this past Friday night. Everyone at the table felt like they had the same experience. The service was top notch. Very friendly and attentive. We had a few cocktails that were delicious. The spinach dip was very creamy. Our salads were perfect. The filet was cooked perfectly medium rare and served with a side of grilled onions and topped with blue cheese. The baked potato was massive. We also had the special which was a grilled red snapper filet served on top of garlic mashed potatoes and topped with lump crab meat and two gulf shrimp. Amazing. Thank you to the staff and the manager. It's hard to find a total dining experience that checks all the boxes. This meal reset the bar for me at BOF.

I wanted to try the gumbo but per my waiters recommendation, I got the Bayou burger with fries. Cooked to perfection! I asked for medium and got what I asked for. Fries crispy served in a upgraded tin can with a side of ketchup. To drink, a class of Chianti. Its a small location, something to think about if you are looking for somewhere to sit; seat yourself. If anyone is military, they do not offer a discount, but they aren't the only ones to do so and its ok. Glasses of wine are $16 a pop. Kinda pricey if you ask me but I believe that is standard when its a restaurant in a hotel. People were really nice, friendly, and helpful. I asked for other locations as farvas wine tasting and music and they helped out with that. The only reason I gave 4 starts versus 5 was the confusion if I could taste the wine before I commit and no military discount. Hate me if you want but people volunteer their lives to protect others but if it was an influencer, bet their food would be free. (Tell me I'm wrong). Must see! Visit! Vibes!
