We eat here often! best burgers ever! and mmm fried Oreo's with ice cream! Very friendly waitstaff / owners. Never been disappointed! great location also! I love that its on the square, it adds even more to its charm and atmosphere. read more

Ate here with a few friends and it's pretty good. If you like fried pickles, these are awesome!! The batter that they are fried in has a little spice to it and really makes a difference. I ordered the taco salad, it was good, nothing spectacular. The salsa they serve with it was great. We also ordered the chicken fried steak and the grilled chicken salad. These were also reported to be pretty good by my companions. The service is fantastic, everyone is friendly and attentive. The food came out fast and as we ordered it. I Would recommend this place if you're in Lockhart and looking for something that's not BBQ! :) read more

Came in to grab some breakfast and was not disappointed. The prices were great for some pancakes, eggs and bacon and friendly staff on hand. We sat ourselves by the window, as there were a few seats open early in the morning on a Saturday. Parking should be easy for most, we happened to walk to Henrys but it looked like a decent amount of parking available in early in the morning. read more

Best breakfast ever. We came to Lockhart for the BBQ but the best surprise was the fabulous breakfast at Henry's. Service was great too.

Live in Lockhart and don't eat here anymore. My last visit here, the kids burnt my frozen chicken fried steak. Of course they flipped it over, burnt side down and covered the top with gravy. US food or Cisco pre-made foods. If you like frozen burger patties, go to their Sonic restaurants. read more

Order the burger, and sweet potato fries, you won't regret it. We also had the fried pickles, perfectly battered slices. Henry's is a little local shop with a friendly staff, big plates of food, and pocket friendly prices. read more

A wonderful downhome jewel off the beaten path! We decided to take a small detour into Lockhart for lunch... while driving from Austin to San Antonio on HWY 130. We picked Henry's for some local comfort food, and were delighted with our choice. My BF has the fried catfish & shrimp combo, which he raved about (he very discerning when it comes to catfish!). I had a club sandwich, which was uniquely delish, with Texas toast and lotsa crispy bacon. Now, we wish we lived closer to Lockhart! read more

Delicious food. Chicken fried steak was excellent. Mexican platter and nachos also great.

Best carne quisada taco I've had in awhile... homemade tortilla & very tender pieces of beef...great job you guys!!!! I'll definitely be back. read more

I like this place, but the food is hit or miss and largely depends on what you order. The burgers are good. The chicken fried steak was not. But for a small town cafe, it's worth a shot. read more

We initially tried to get breakfast tacos at 2 bar-b-que places without success so we spotted Harry's. What a wonderful find. Everything on them was scratch and the fresh made flour tortillas were tops. The fajita taco was delicious and had fresh grilled bell pepper and onions on it. The bacon, egg and cheese tacos also were spot on with everything cooked to order and nice, thick full strips of bacon. What a great find. The read more

Great location. That's the only thing good I can say about it. Such potential but the burgers were not good at all, mine wasn't even cooked all the way and a dab of avocado was smeared on it. Very disappointed and I would recommend Dairy Queen or whataburger. The service was poor too. We sat down and weren't greeted for at least 10 minutes, three servers walked around while we waited to catch one of their eyes. Will not go back read more

In a world of Rush rush and get the customer out of the door, Henry's is a thing of the past. Walking into Henry's is like walking into family where everybody knows who you are and knows your order almost by heart. It's not just the that makes Henry special it's the waitstaff that makes Henry's so special. The waitresses here truly know their customers and exceed all of their expectations. When at Henry's ask for Tamara , Crystal, or Nia for great service read more

Haven't tried Henry's in the past year but was a favorite dining spot in Lockhart previously. Had a late supper on 7/14/18. Excellent cheeseburger with tater tots. Came from the kitchen too hot to eat right away. Nice fresh veggies. Plenty of iced tea for a hot evening. Waitress was extremely attentive. A fine meal all around. read more

I used to love this place, but the quality is now suffering. The best of the workers have all moved on, and the last few times we have been there was less than impressive. We are moving on to other places. read more

I take my employees to Henrys about 3 times a month, and it is either good or bad. This last time it took forever to get our food we ordered 2 salads and a special, grilled chicken sandwich. We had to ask how much longer because we are on our lunch break. The salads came out and they reversed the type of chicken on them, I told her dont worry, we will take care of it and she insisted that she take it back. Well that took another 15+ min to get the salads back. The other was the special grilled chicken sandwich, that came after our salads and it was a chicken fried steak sandwich. That went back and took forever again. We had to ask for drink refills. The fried chicken on the salad was literally about 5 bites of (over cooked) chicken, the rest was the fried outside. Very disappointed in the service and food. read more

The food is usually all pretty good. They don't have lemons which is a bit strange. They serve limes instead.

I've been coming to Lockhart recently for work. It's a great small town in the State of Texas. I've been trying different places to eat around the town. BBQ. Tex-Mex. Burger Joints. I gotta say. Out of all the places I've tried this is the true definition of small town, Texas hospitality. Great scenery, great service. Amazing Cheeseburgers!!!! Definitely recommend!!! read more

This was my frist time here i meet the owner.as i walked in had a great experience with her . I got sested waitress was great i didnt have to wait long for my drink. An authentic Lockhart eatery!!! The atmosphere is slow, and friendly!! The burgers are absolutely the best thing on the menu!! They are huge, fresh and cooked perfectly!!! Love this place read more

They have the BEST burger in town, just like the sign on the front door said! The butter bread is grilled and helps take the burger to another level! The wait staff were friendly and efficient. My husband and daughter had the chicken fried steak which was delicious and the sweet tea was awesome! We will be back and recommend it to anyone visiting the Lockhart area. Shout out to my dad for the recommendation! read more

Some of the best burgers I've had! Awesome bun! And great service, the fried pickles are also pretty good, but what takes the cake is definitely the burgers. read more

Would rather go to Henry's than any other restaurant in Lockhart. Good tasty home cooking. Great variety of food, great waitpeople and clean. Also good fresh coffee and tasty desserts. read more

Very friendly staff will make you feel at home. The food is really good. Love going there for omelettes in the morning.

Great tasting food! A good place to eat at if your tired of BBQ. Did I just say that? Yes, even guys like me get bored of Lockhart BBQ. LOL

Have been a longtime loyal customer. Service has gone down hill, had to order 3 times to find something on the menu they actually had. Food not prepared properly, was over charged on my bill. So sad I used to love this place. Also forget about early breakfast they just began opening later. read more

Pretty good food, the seats always make me feel like I need to shower because they feel so sticky. The service is good when I go and the food doesn't take long to come out. Love the fries and tater tots! I recommend trying the spaghetti but not the fettuccine, I was very disappointed when it came out looking like a soup. Also, I don't recommend getting the tea. Other than that, I love eating here! read more

I love Henry's!! I eat their breakfast burritos, biscuits and gravy, & their burgers! They will let you alter your food and will not suprise you with charges on your bill! I love the hometown feel, the quick to go orders, and the wait staff! If you do go to Henry's give yourself at least an hour to eat because it always takes them a while to bring out the food! read more

Great home atmosphere and home cooking done right. Chicken fried steak sandwich was tender and chopped beef steak was tender and smothered in brown gravy grilled onions and sliced onions. Portions are large and reasonably priced. If you are Lockhart and in the mood for something other than BBQ, try Henry's. read more

I hate to write this review because I had had a great experience at Henry's a year ago and was exciting to visit again. I came in after an evening performance at the theater around the corner. I know Henry's stays open late as a favor to the theater patrons and the last time I stopped in, I was happy with the experience. This time I made the mistake of ordering breakfast. The scrambled eggs were undercooked. The bacon strips were tiny. The homestyle potatoes were overcooked, hard, and overseasoned. And my white toast was actually mushy. The server slapped down the check before I had a chance to ask about their desserts. I figured it was a message that I probably would have been disappointed by that as well. On a favorable note, the prices were very low. But even at the price I paid, I felt I wasted my money. read more

The food is standard order from food service heat up in restaraunt food. The burgers are good like Moonies Burger house in Cedar Park. They taste the exact same down to the bun. They must have the same food service supplier. So the food is average but the service is often a bunch of high school age kids. So its often more miss than hit with the service. read more

While visiting our son in Austin the week of Thanksgiving, my wife and I took a little road trip south one day while he was at work and ended up in Lockhart during lunch hour. Not feeling like BBQ, we discovered Henry's through Yelp. It's a great little place - very quaint and non-pretentious, located in a cool old building right in the hear of the town. We split a cup of soup (Enchilada they called it IIRC?), a mozz stix app, and a burger with the sweet potato fries. The soup was excellent. Tangy and rich, with plenty of flavor. It's a signature menu item, and I can see why. I'm glad we split it, as it was filling. The mozzarella stix were very good. Nothing special, mind you, but done to perfection...and served with both marinara and a ranch sauce, which I prefer. The ranch tasted like it was house-made, and excellent. The burger was also excellent. They serve it pretty much well done, which is normally too done for my taste. But it was still flavorful and tender, and not dried out a bit. I believe the standard fixings were: lettuce, tomato, onion, mustard, mayo. The bun was grilled on both the inside and outside (a nice touch), and had a slightly sweet flavor. In all, the flavors melded together really nicely. This isn't gourmet fare, but then again they don't give you any pretense of being such a place. It's good, simple fare that is done excellently. The service was top notch during our visit. We will be back on our next visit to the area. read more

Went to eat here with friends. The food is delicious. We had fried pickles which are really delicious, as well as yummy chips and salsa. When our main meal was brought to the table it looked really yummy. I had the fried chicken salad with honey mustard and it was really delicious. read more

Love their sweet potato fries. Not impressed with their wait staff or help. Maybe a lack of training? They mess up to go orders frequently.

This restaurant is the best sit down for breafast in Lockhart, If your looking for eggs over easy and toast or want to add a chicken fried steak you can't do better any where in central Texas than Henry's. I paid less than $10.00 for 3 eggs hashbrowns chicken fried steak beans with toast and coffee, plus it has ambiance and just enough sun coming through to brighten your day. read more

The burgers were so good! All food was awesome. Not a regular burger joint!! If you have never been, try it out. Set up like a little diner, with great food! Our server seemed more occupied with be fast that he would leave tables without customers finishing their request. But still..one person cant ruin it for these guys! Good job! read more

Thanks for a great dinner the deep fried oreos where fantastic if we are ever in the area again I will definitely be stopping by

Found via Yelp review and wasn't disappointed. Service was good and people are friendly. Has a cool little town feel to it as it should. We all ordered burgers and fries. One of the better burgers I've eaten. Would recommend if you are driving through. read more

Henry's is a great locally owned business! they've branched out to San Marcos and, while i haven't been there, i always enjoy coming to the one in lockhart. the staff is very friendly and observant of the customers needs. i don't think i've ever personally asked for a refill on drinks, they've always either asked me for one or gave it to me. read more

Stopped here for breakfast on our way through town. Ordered an omelet (amazing!), biscuits and sausage gravy (delicious!), and kid's egg and pancake breakfast (kids ate it up!). Someone's grandma had to have been back there cooking us breakfast because the food had soul. Super friendly staff and in a great historical downtown building. So glad we stopped here and would definitely come again if we're ever in town. read more
