Last time I went I was uncharacteristically in the market for some lighter fare, and the tuna steak entree with pineapple salsa and rice was fantastic and cooked perfectly.

There is a significant service and management problem at this restaurant. My family and I went for…read moreSt Patrick's Day, as we have before. We asked the manager for some napkins to prop up the wobbly table and he said (quote) "Why don't you tell your kid not to stand on his chair" and walked away. The kid in question was literally sitting in his chair with one foot against the table. We explained to the manager the impact of what he said, and gave him multiple opportunities to apologize. We get it: its St Patrick's Day in an Irish bar and it's stressful. But instead of recognizing that he snapped: he doubled down and tried to convince us that his language fine, and that we were in the wrong for calling him out. I even talked with him an hour later, after it had cooled off, and he continued to be aggressive and dismissive. A bad manager is one thing. But our server didn't acknowledge the awkwardness (even as other families watched in shock), just trying to rush us out. The food was probably the worst it's ever been at Stone's, which raises questions of why. It's understandable to have a bad day, it's *not* ok to set the tone for your staff and establishment that berating your customers, unprompted, is acceptable.

There are lots of other dishes to enjoy, as well. The servers, and the bartender, are attentive and prompt. The floor-to-ceiling windows let you see what's going on outside. I had to explain this to the waitress and to the owner. Not a place I would go to for a quiet romantic dinner. More like a college cafeteria atmosphere with alchohol. Food was OK. Rice was crunchy undercooked. Did not enjoy pulling chicken off skewers. Brought dish back to kitchen for staff to remove chicken off skewers. Where is the ambiance for removing chicken from skewers. Is this a new form of entertainment? New owners were too cheap to install proper ADA bathroom fixtures. Black toilet fixture from previous owner were too close to the floor. For compliance with the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), the toilet seat must measure between 17 inches minimum and 19 inches maximum from the finished floor to the top of the seat, including the seat itself, not just the bowl rim. We will NOT be going back.

The service has been pretty good- attentive and friendly overall. Ale House gets five stars for the overall value, consistency, and the vibe in there. It's simply nice to be there and we've enjoyed each visit. I like the Wednesday night Italian dinner for two and the themes they do, as well as Trivia night. It's nice to see a place show some effort and execute on specials and theme nights etc. and they clearly have a loyal following as a result. We're now a part of that following.

Everything came out cooked perfect long time altogether, which is wonderful because usually we are when we go out as a family for dinner, we I've been here many times in the past also one of the guys that came tonight he lives right here in town so him and his family come here often. The only downside is it is cash only but they do have it on site ATM, which is perfectly fine if you just gotta come prepared, the food was very reasonable. The husband I had the burger and the I had the white salad. I was expecting the lunchtime one, but they actually had given me the dinner one so between the two of us we ate it cost us with a tip on $40. That's about average when you go out to eat nowadays and it's nice we go out to eat and the husband actually cleans his plate. That's absolute perfect too. I would come here again definitely I would definitely recommend as a family restaurant, but I probably wouldn't come here too often at night. It really was too too loud this evening. They did however have like some sort of like bingo or trivia night thing or something so that probably added to the noise level other than that I usually come here for lunch and never have an issue towards food right on top of things. It's good tasty just an all-around good time and that's about it. Everybody should try it. There was a lot of good dishes we had this evening people had like I said the fried whole belly clams they have the chicken Parm somebody else had the fish and chips. Somebody else had flatbread pizza. One person had a bowl of clam chowder and also had a pastrami sandwich somebody else had the blackened corned beef, but everything was perfect. Not one person had an issue with anything and that's perfect we typically have issues with getting our food together and getting on a time and nobody wants to eat alone. Nobody wants to wait you know we all kinda like eat together. But everything was fantastic. The food was out of this world.
