This office is not the kind that tries to ring up the insurance register, they want to do what is right for you and get your teeth in working order. No fancy cosmetics or extra fluff. The staff is amazing,they are friendly, courteous and extremely helpful. They have an awesome system to remind you of your appointments, by using email and text messages. They keep you on track for your next appointment and guide you through the process. They are always eager to let you know about your financial obligations if you ask and constantly update you when new information is available. Laser surgery is far more advanced than the traditional drilling method, for me this meant/means less shots of Novocaine, less pain and a quicker healing process. I was in the Navy for 21 years and poked and prodded by all sorts of dentists and it has taken me 6 years to find a dentist that I feel comfortable with and can take care of my teeth. I never thought I'd be giving a five-star rating to *any* dentist, since it's not typically an…read moreexperience that can be called anything close to enjoyable, but Dr. Pohlhaus and the staff at the Baltimore Center for Laser Dentistry are as good as it gets. I've been a patient for around two years now, and I've gotten routine cleanings, a cavity filling, and a frenectomy (snipping the tissue connecting my lip and gum). Dr. Pohlhaus used a laser both to detect cavities and to excavate them before filling, and it was much more efficient (and much cooler) to have the laser give off a small beep when a cavity was detected than the usual poking around and doing everything by inspection. I've only ever had appointments in the early morning (anywhere from 7:30 to 8:30) because the office is quite close to my job. Even with the frenectomy, I was able to go to work after each procedure since the laser greatly reduced the need for novocaine or other anesthesia. I've recommended Dr. Pohlhaus to friends and family, and now the whole internet with this review. I was with my father, who has dementia, while he got a filling. She said I had to come in during their very inconvenient walk in time So I showed up there at 0800, hoping they would take pity on a long time patient an see me right away so I could get to work. But no. She said I would have to wait until 9 am to be seen. I couldn't wait to punch in that late so I had to leave. So....I think I'm going to be looking for a more accommodating dental provider. The office is small and clean, with a family feel to it, and all of the equipment he might need is on site, including x-rays! I've never had to wait longer than 5 minutes to be seen, and for a standard cleaning, I'm in and out in under 40 mins. As much as I hate going to the dentist, Dr. Williman is so personable and caring that the time flies by. I have an autoimmune disease that causes chronic dry mouth, and from my first visit I could tell that he was very knowledgeable and always took the time to answer my questions. You can call to find out which insurance carriers the office accepts, but the out of pocket price is also very reasonable!
