Not having an oral surgeon that wasn't retired I was forced to start looking. I came across Dr Leone and was impressed by his reviews. He was also close by, another plus. Expecting to be turned away because of time constraints, I called for an appointment. They were able to get me in for an exam and subsequent surgery before my cardiac surgery. Having had some truly horrifying experiences at dentists I was not anxious to have this work done. Dr Leone changed all that. The doctors support staff have a friendly way of making you feel relaxed. The Doctor himself has a very easy going manner, but you can tell by his description of the work necessary that he knows exactly what needs to be done and exactly how he will do it. The day of surgery he and his staff were relaxed and clearly had everything under control. Simple comments like "that went well" and "down to the last two" made me even more comfortable. I can't really overstate my appreciation for this doctors skill and talent. If you are even a little less than confident about your current oral surgeon, I urge you to give Dr Leone a try. You won't regret it!

The staff at Robyn's office is also very caring, pleasant and professional. Robyn is a good age for a doctor - old enough to have lots of experience, but young enough to keep up to date with current practices. As part of the latter, Robyn participates in a regional dental study group where several dentists discuss new technology and techniques. Her office has state-of-the-art equipment that allows her to do advanced treatments. She offers a very broad range of treatments/services ranging from the most basic to quite sophisticated. Showing Robyn's peer stature in dentistry, she is a past president of the Detroit District Dental Society. From a patient perspective, Robyn also is very good at explaining what needs to be done, why, how it will be accomplished, and the cost. She also presents alternatives when appropriate. Robyn values a knowledgeable staff, and explains what she's doing during treatment. There is a recognition that dental issues don't always arrive at convenient times. Office hours vary during the week, and include Saturday, to accommodate patient needs. Patient comfort is well managed - at no time during or after treatment did I experience any discomfort. The office is located in a well-maintained stand-alone building, with ample parking.

I tried a few dentists where I live in LA and for much more $$$ with less service and attention. But now I just schedule an appointment when I know I am going to be back in the Detroit area!

Do not go here. Believe the reviews you have read about her as they are true and here is mine. Dr…read more Monica Rajurs should not be in practice. She can't do simple dentistry. earlier this year, she did a crown for me. I had pain when she did the temporary crown. She assured me that when the permanent crown would go in I would be fine. Unfortunately when the permanent crown went in, it was even worse. Turns out Dr. Rajurs did not adjust my bite correctly which she admitted. I had a high bite and because of that it caused TMJ. I went back to see her. She adjusted my bite and she said I would be fine in a few days well I was not. That was 3 1/2 months ago and I have not heard from her office to see how I'm doing. She was fully aware that I have been in severe pain since she did my crown in March 2024. The story gets better. I started with a new dentist in August 2024. I had my cleaning done and the dentist checked the crown she did and he said my bite was not right and needs to be adjusted . That's after Dr. Rajurs supposedly adjusted it in July 2024 and said I was good now. She has caused me so much pain for 7 1/2 months. I have migraines every day. I can't open my mouth like I could before it hurts too much. I can't sleep my jaw hurts my ear hurts my tooth hurts the one she did the crown on. I can't eat properly all because she didn't adjust my bite after she put the permanent crown in. I never had any of these problems before she did this crown. I have spent days in tears with the amount of pain I'm in. I have three kids to take care of and I can't function properly anymore. It's not OK what she did to me. This was all preventable. She just didn't adjust the bite as she should have and never followed up to see how I'm doing, knowing how much pain I was dealing with she does not care about her patients. She cares about her pocketbook. Also now I'm told i need to get a root canal on that tooth. I also had to get a mouth guard and now I need to see a TMJ specialist all these additional costs thanks to Dr. Monica Rajurs, who should not be in practice. Please be smart Do your research and go to another office.

Please listen to me when I say, stay away from Dr Monica Rajurs…read more I was a patient of Dr Ockners and then he retired. I trusted that he left his business to someone competent so I started seeing Dr Rajurs. Well, I was wrong. She performed a root canal and then placed a crown, on one of my molars. She admitted that the fit of the crown was a bit "off" but that it would be fine. I didn't have a reason to doubt her and my pain was gone so I was none the wiser. Well, after a co-worker who was also a patient of hers, told me of how she had a root canal done by Dr Rajurs and she broke a file off in her tooth, I decided to go to a different dentist. During my first visit to the new dentist, almost a year after Dr Rajurs did my root canal, I was told that I had a large cavity between my gums and where the top of the crown came. See, usually there isn't any space left (to avoid situations like this) but Dr Rajurs didn't fit the crown correctly and I ended up with this issue. I was also told that since she "thinned my margins down too much" the tooth wasn't able to be saved. I was DEVESTATED! A month later I went to another dentist, to get a second opinion, and he too said the same thing. I would have to get the tooth extracted along with a now time consuming, painful and pricey (and not covered by insurance) implant. The best part to all this? My insurance only covers ONE crown on each tooth, every 5 years. So it appears that I might have to pay for the crown ($700) out of pocket as well (the insurance company normally pays 60%). I'm getting the two dentists I visited to write letters, explaining that its Dr Rajurs lack of experience and faulty handiwork that caused this and hopefully the insurance will cover the crown but an implant is $2500 and I have to foot the cost. I'm FURIOUS and want everyone to know to steer clear of this woman.
