We were fortunate that the overnight temperature was in the lower 70's. I called T&C just after 8:00am the next morning (Tuesday, September 29th) and talked with Tara. She was very polite and personable. She was able to book an appointment for me for later on that morning (10:00am - 2:00pm). I was very pleasantly surprised that I could get an appointment that quick. The Service Technician (Ian) texted me when he was "on his way" and arrived around 11:00am. He evaluated the situation, performed some tests and determined that a capacitor had failed. He replaced the capacitor which corrected the problem. He thoroughly checked the entire system and cleaned the outside coil. He tested the performance of the cooling system and reviewed the results with me. He prepared a written report complete with pictures and graphs showing the test results and included in an email with a copy of the invoice. I chose to begin a Service Agreement which included a discount of the services completed on this and future visits. I was very satisfied with the entire process, especially the prompt response. The total cost was very reasonable in my opinion. If you need HVAC repairs or replacement, I suggest you call T&C and talk with Tara.

While that was good news, it would have been nice to learn that the previous night after I tried contacting them numerous times with absolutely NO response. Their reliance on AI is hideously misdirected. Town & Country has taken "people" out of their business. As a result, I was up most of the night weighing my options and deciding to reach out to another HVAC company around 8am. Then I saw the text from 7am. While relieved, I was incredibly annoyed. All new technologies are heavily sold by the businesses that deploy it without considering if it's appropriate for the customer. The objective is maximizing profits and the customers learn this too late. I'm confident this is the situation with Town & Country. They were "sold" the AI tech and it's ruining their business. I'm now waiting on a part for my HVAC and I'm not sure I'll stay with Town & Country and that's a shame. This company is joke and very dangerous to work with. I hired them to complete a roof job due to…read morehail damage. As part of the job, I had a chimney that was leaning and inquired if it could be removed as there was no fireplace inside the house and I did not see why it was there. They completed the job but did not put a flue cap after knocking it down. My plumber who was performing his yearly maintenance noticed they capped off the flue line. My plumber informed me that by code Next Gen should have put a flue cap to allow carbon monoxide to exit my house. When I called Next Gen back to fix this issue - they said "it was not their responsibility as they performed the job as requested". Furthermore they said " they are not chimney experts and they are roofing experts and that they informed me about problems of removing the chimney". Finally they said "we aren't in the wrong here - you are". "They do very little demo's of chimney's and so they aren't experts on them". So in synthesizing this - this is a company that is willing to do jobs without 1) vetting the job first and consulting with chimney experts before they do a job that they admit aren't specialists in, 2) They will perform any job a customer requests - even when they know it is a violation and against code (I know of zero companies that would do this, most will say no to the customer and explain why it is against code, and 3) this company will take zero responsibility when they mess up. The bottom line is this company wants your money, will do anything for it - even when they know it violates code and health safety. NEVER USE THIS COMPANY. Terrible and shameful.

We originally hired Bordner Home Improvement to fix a leak coming into our main floor ceiling…read morespecifically because of their stellar online reviews and thinking they were a quality local company (they were actually sold to a private equity company in 2024 and are no longer locally owned). Tyler came out and looked over our issue, he told us that after replacing the head flashing above the window behind the stucco there "would be no more leak, 100% or we'll come back out and fix it" and not to worry since it's backed by a 1-year guarantee just in case the leak didn't show up until further into the rainy season. Given their online reviews we completely trusted his word and were expecting the same great experience so many others have had. Unfortunately, our experience was not what we were told or expecting. Poor Workmanship & Unauthorized Charges: They ripped out the stucco and installed new flashing, but the workmanship was poor (see photos). When we immediately emailed them with photos and concerns, they dismissed us and ran an unauthorized charge on our card for the balance. It took persistent messaging before they admitted the work was subpar and agreed to fix it. The Leak Wasn't Fixed: Even after the cosmetic "fix" (which still left us to paint the new stucco ourselves), the window leaked the very next time it rained. Misdiagnosis & Upselling: After contacting them multiple times about the continued leaking, they agreed to send a couple guys out to do a "water test" with a garden hose. Less than 15 minutes after arriving, they had quickly determined the issue was actually at the bottom of the window--not the top area they had just charged us $2,395 to repair. Their new solution was to suggest we buy completely new windows. It seems incredibly shady that they didn't perform a simple hose test before ripping out stucco and charging $2,395 for a completely unnecessary repair. While they may have done great work for some others, I would look elsewhere unless you want to spend time and money only to end up worse off than before you hired them.

I had to write this review. Plumbing Plus just left our house and I had such a good experience with…read morethem they deserve this review. I was very frustrated trying to find someone to repair our outside water hydrant because it required cutting through drywall in our basement to get to the water line. Another plumber had told us it was located in a different spot in the basement and recommended we just make it nonfunctional outside, which we did. For his visit (and inaccurate diagnosis with a camera--I do think this other plumber was well-intentioned he just didn't know what he was talking about) he charged us $100 and told us if we decided to fix it by cutting through drywall it would cost $698. I didn't go with him because he said he couldn't be responsible for any structural damage if it occurred (He thought he had to go through a joist.) Based on this information, I told Plumbing Plus the situation and over the phone they bid $280 to fix it. This morning they came out and found that the faucet access was in a different spot. They found exactly where it was and cut through the drywall in that spot., fixed it in less time (probably 30 minutes or so) and only charged me $135. Prior to this, they also sent me proof of licensure and insurance. They said they'd be here at 8 am and they were actually here exactly at 8 am. I've never had that happen. I'm so thrilled because I find it so hard to find honest contractors who know what they are doing. These guys do. The plumber's name was Mark Chadwick. Thank you, thank you!!! By the way, you'll need to find someone else to fix the drywall. Plumbers don't do this, but at least now you know who to call for your plumbing.
