However, the tech (which said he was the owner) that showed up was horrible. He acted like it was a problem him being here from the jump. To describe our little encounter is un-nerving. During this pandemic, like most businesses we have to limit the amount of people in the building. There is a HUGE sign at the door that clearly states to call a number when you arrive and someone will let you in so we can sanitize to protect both you and our team. The tech clearly doesn't know how to read, he BEATS on the door like a crazy person, the owner annoyed, says no don't answer, make him call and follow directions, that is ridiculous. The tech then proceeds to beat on the owner of the buildings window, then walks around to the other side of the building and beats on another offices window. So naturally our owner came out upset and asked him to not do that. The guys never says anything, he rolls his eyes and proceeded to come in and measure for carpet install. When hes done he then comes to me and slams the sample book down and asks why i didn't speak up to the owner and got him in trouble if his wife called and made an appointment. My reaction was, well first off when she called she stated you were going to be in the area and would be by, never once did she give a time. I told her in the call, anytime was fine he would just need to call when he got here. I then spoke my peace of him banging on our windows (this is a multi suite building by the way) like a crazy person. He then gathered his stuff and walked out all while saying how he understands why no one would want to do business with someone that acts like this. ( where he gets off saying this i have no idea) Well mister i don't understand why anyone would want to do business with you and your piss pour attitude. In a time like this you would think you would be idk courteous to your clients that are even asking for you to do this during a pandemic. I came to a smaller business to support our community. DO NOT USE THESE GUYS…read more On Wednesday, 5/8/24, after we drove our car into the garage and went to close it, the door became jammed and fell off the tracks loosing 3 rollers. It was installed in 2020 by A + Garage Door, the company hired by our builder. Wanting to use the original installation company, we called them around 4:30 pm and they agreed to come out first thing the next morning. We have 4 dogs and 1 is a puppy that loves to explore and chew up everything. We had to arrange to keep all the dogs in our storage building and arrange a ride for my wife, since she could not back out of garage. Thursday morning at around 8:30; Chris called and said he could not make it that morning; but would be here late afternoon, early evening. We reluctantly agreed and my husband took off work at 2 pm to be here, when they came. At around 4 pm we called Chris, the tech back to find out when he would be here; only to be told he would not be coming and would have to come the following the morning; which meant we would have to keep our dogs put up and my wife arrange for a 2nd ride the next day. Frustrated, we called Mike, the owner and he said he was sorry. Frustrated we called back to see if we could still get them out early evening and he told my husband "too bad" and hung up. He never would answer to repeated attempts to reach him. The next morning, we texted Mike to see if they were coming and he said "No, get another company". We did call another company that we always used in the past at 8 am and he was there within 2 hours. The diagnose, nothing was blocking our garage door to cause it to come off the tracks, it was all due to an incomplete installation since NONE of the original moving parts had EVER been lubricated and the bolt that should have been a "safety break away", was bolted shut; which caused our doors, rails and struts to bend and warp. We will be notifying our builder as well.
