I honestly had the most amazing experience with my wedding items that when I got a coat I was so excited to get it fixed up with hemster, but it has been a nightmare. They do not list the items they are offering on their website so I paid for a video call just to be told they are unable to do what i needed. I then reached out to their customer service and the person continuously said they would not refund me even though I showed them where their website was lacking to share their available alterations to their customers. I'm so bummed, I feel like I was stolen from because they are severely lacking with the needed information to make an appointment. It seems that their business model is to steal video call fees from clients because the person who was "helping" me was firm even after showing how they gave no information for me to know better about what services they were offering. Highly would not recommend using this service online at least. Go to your local tailor who will actually treat you like a person and not steal money from you for 0 services. read more

I've been putting off dropping my clothes off at the tailor's for a while now since it's hard to find time around work and school so I was super excited when I heard about Hemster from my classmate. I bought a suit and pair of slacks and was referred to Hemster for tailoring. BreAnda was so easy to work with and made me feel comfortable with the process - she came to my home (on time), was professional yet friendly, and helped me get a good fit. She made adjustments with pins, took notes, then scheduled me for a follow up appointment at which time she returned with the tailored slacks...a perfect fit! BreAnda did a great job! read more

After my review, and after reaching out to customer service again on my own... I heard back today and they again offered me $15 off future orders You have to be kidding me! There will be no future orders. Not only were my clothes ruined and my time wasted, but the management and customer service of this company is absolutely horrific. I have now been going back and forth with customer service for a month. They keep saying someone will call me and they never do. Instead, I get a different customer service people giving me vanilla responses everything 3ish days. Not even enough respect for their customers to have one support person follow through and make sure this issue is resolved. read more

Great customer service, my dress that was altered that I paid extra for still didn't fit 100% the way it was supposed to and they missed an area as well. She made the whole process seamless (no pun intended) and friendly while delivering top-notch tailoring. For someone with a schedule like mine, an in-home fitting is a dream come true! I was lucky enough to have been scheduled with Mimi. My bridesmaids and I can't say enough positive things about her! She was friendly, knowledgeable and a joy to invite into my home. My wedding dress and bridesmaids dresses came out PERFECTLY with minimal fitting appointments. AMAZING SERVICE!! This place came in very clutch...I needed a dress hemmed for a party I was attending over the weekend and I couldn't figure out a time I was going to be able to make it to a tailor. I work all day during the week and when I get off work all the good tailors near me are closed. With Hemster, Alex came to my office during my lunch break and fit the dress then did the delivery to the tailor and back to my office. The price for the dress alteration was pretty similar to other tailors in the area but with the added convenience. All in all it was an awesome experience and good quality tailoring! I will definitely be using Hemster moving forward. read more

Editing AGAIN to add that despite multiple emails from me and multiple responses from Cameron promising to refund me the cost of the destroyed dress, plus the cost of the alterations, 20 days later, this is STILL not resolved. I would like to point out that they agreed the dress was destroyed as indicated by taking the dress from me and keeping it, asking for photos of pre and post, and then promising me these credits. Also, I wore another dress for the first time that they altered for me and saw that it was taken in way too much. Do yourself a favor and NEVER use this company. They will destroy your clothes, and never refund you your money. :( read more

Mimi IS THE ABSOLUTE BEST. My wedding dress happened to have a fussy plunging v-neck that I needed covering up. She never gave up, was extremely attentive, and genuinely made it feel as though I was hanging out with an old friend laughing and joking as we tried to fix my darn dress, which she and her team were able to do successfully. Woohoo first review! It was such a pleasure working with Hemster! As a pretty busy lady I never have time to get new clothes hemmed. But with Hemster, Alex came to my office, did a complete fitting and then I had my clothes back in two days! I was introduced to this service when my husband bought a suit and the store recommended Hemster to him. I just had 3 skirts with elastic waistbands altered and a small hole in my husband's coat mended. BreAnda was the person who took care of this for us. She is an absolute delight! I used Hemster to take in a few of my pants and they did a great job! When I booked them online I was apprehensive to have someone come over but when Crystal came it was like greeting a friend. Using Hemster was such a seamless process. I needed a pair of workout leggings shortened so I went to the concierge at my apartment building and they recommended I use Hemster. Since I knew it was going to be a simple alteration, I did the fitting myself then simply dropped the leggings off at the concierge desk. I paid with the concierge a $10 charge because I did the fitting myself. Hemster came to my building and picked up the leggings then sent me an invoice and a deliver back date which was one week later. A week later I picked up my leggings at my concierge and it was all done. The leggings looked great and I didn't have to make multiple stops to see a tailor which saved me so much time especially here in LA! read more

No more going in to a tailor when they come and fit for you and deliver! I actually pay more taking my things in to the cleaners. I'm giving three stars because the quality of the tailoring was good, however I probably wouldn't use Hemster again for a few reasons. One, the convenience of having them come to your home is outweighed by the fact that it takes way longer to get your clothes back than just going to a local tailor. It's also more expensive. I understand the higher prices if you're paying for the convenience, but the long wait time makes it no longer convenient. Also the company seemed pretty disorganized to me. My appointment got rescheduled without asking me, then I got a call the next day to ask if they could do the rescheduling that they'd already done. There was also a billing error where they tried to charge me even though I'd already paid. Customer service resolved the billing issue, but combined with the rescheduling and a couple other issues I haven't mentioned, they seem like they really don't have it together, which makes me not want to use them again. read more
