This place looked just lovely from the outside a very pretty spot for breakfast. Took a table for four people and the menu
Looked more than promising, unfortunately it did little to live up to our first impressions. No water was offered until we asked about 10 minutes after arriving on a sweltering hot morning, we ordered coffees and frappes and breakfasts at the time the water
Finally arrived. It was not busy there were only 3 other tables occupied, the largest already with food. It took a further 15-20 mins for our drinks to arrive, the coffee was nice, the frappes average. The food took at least 45 mins to arrive from being ordered (2 eggs benidects, 1 big breaky and 1 French toast) Hoping the food was good enough to make up for the wait we were again disappointed. The eggs weren't runny, the bread was so dry it was almost stale and the "berries" with the French toast was 1 single slice of a strawberry. No one came to ask how the meals were, no one offered more water or coffees. I can now see why the cafe across the road was full and this one near empty the locals must know better. Won't be returning. read more
