Those comments above are not at all reflective of my experience with Greenwich Farms, and in particular with Ashley and Meagan. This is a long review so suffice it to say that my parents and parents in law would not have spent 100's of thousands of dollars at Greenwich Farms if we had the same impression as that review. Because my parents, prior to their passing, and my parents in law (one has passed) were residents of Greenwich Farms for the last 15 years, all having spent time in the memory care unit, I feel uniquely qualified to provide an assessment based on long experience visiting them and observing the staff. My mother for a short time was in a different living facility, not because of dissatisfaction with GF but because of family turmoil. We took her back to GF because of dissatisfaction with the other facility that was more in line with the prior review. It takes a special person to work at assisted living facilities, particularly in the memory care unit. There is no typical day and there is no typical resident. There is no day that something new and unexpected doesn't happen and the staff work very hard to provide a stable and loving environment for all residents. Sometimes employees can't handle the stress that is inherent in this job or just don't have the personality or temperament to work in a memory care unit and decide to move on. That is true of all facilities that are in the business of caring for people. I believe this has much to do with turnover, although I do not believe GF has an exceedingly high turnover rate. Also, I have seen people ill suited for the job even after having been given special training and guidance who were just not a good fit and were invited to find opportunities elsewhere. Managers have the responsibility to make those changes not only for the safety and well being of the residents but also to maintain the morale of the employees that do yeoman's work on a daily basis. To suggest that Ashley, as the Harbor Director, is responsible for turnover is a short sighted, scratch the surface impression. Additionally, she is well qualified to be the director of the unit. She has worked in memory care units in different facilities for years starting as a CNA and working her way up to management prior to returning to GF as the director of the Harbor. She has an almost innate ability to sense the mood and temperament of each person and is able to respond to each in a manner that that makes them almost immediately comfortable. She knows whether they need a smile, a joke or a hug. Because most residents don't fully comprehend the reason they are there it may take a few months to become comfortable. I am confident that GF continues to provide the support my father-in-law needs and thrilled that Ashley is the director. I recently joked with the Executive Director and Ashley that they have done such a good job caring for him that he has improved enough to move back to the traditional side.

Tread carefully if considering Greenwich Farms(GF). My father was a resident there for almost two…read moreyears. He was treated pretty good overall, however, it did not go well at the end. On December 23, 2025 GF sent him to RI Hospital. While there the doctors said Hospice was the next step. He entered Hospice on December 23rd and passed away December 27th. On December 26, we cleaned out his room and notified the director that he was near the end of life. This was all done prior to 12/31/2025. In January, GF reached out requesting payment for the month of January 2026. I explained he passed and was paid in full through 12/31.2025. GF said they needed 30 days notice if moving out and therefore $11,000 needed to be paid for January. I said I do not think that should apply to this situation as GF sent him to the hospital and there was no way we could have predicted his passing and given 30 days notice. GF said they would consider that and get back to me. I never heard back and I assumed it was resolved. Well I was wrong. On July 14, I got a collection letter from an attorney looking for payment. Really?1? The Director never called me back, I just received a collection letter. In my opinion this is nothing more than a money grab! $11K for never living there in January! Plus I know for a fact that his room was occupied in January by another person. Talk about double dipping! GF is a business and there goal is to make money. I am in the process of getting my attorney involved and notifying the RI AG's office of my experience and GF's policies. When you submit your application, they proceed to do a deep dive into your entire financial history. You had better be rich (or close to it) because they want verification you have the means to cover the cost of caring for your loved one for a minimum of 3 years! The room was large. It was easy to go and visit and they never saw an issue with all his visitors-sometimes up to 10 of us! I was there many times when he would have PT and the therapists were great. The cnas were excellent. To leave the second floor you need to have a nurse with a key to the elevator see you out. Loved the safety measures for those patients looking to elope.

My mother-in-law was a resident at Wingate Residences on the East Side for 2.5 years - for most of…read morethat time in a lovely apartment on the Assisted Living side. Our family was impressed with the caring floor staff, activities, meals, grounds, pool, and convenient location. When COVID hit, the facility did as much as they could to keep everyone safe during incredibly challenging circumstances. Unfortunately, near the end of Mom's time at Wingate, she had a sudden medical crisis that resulted in her being moved to the Memory Care side and put on hospice, just at the time a new Nursing Director named Misty Keough came on board there. Misty exhibited a very troubling ignorance about hospice, end of life care, and Alzheimer's. She was also horribly antagonistic toward our family and the hospice personnel. (Her unprofessional behavior was witnessed not just by our family and the hospice nurses, but also our private aides and members of her own floor staff.) In conversation with our family, Misty was demonstrably contemptuous of hospice care. On various occasions she referred to hospice, pro-hospice people, and the use of comfort meds on one's deathbed - as "euthanizers." Her gatekeeping behavior resulted in the truly horrible and unnecessary suffering of our mom on her deathbed. (Misty literally refused our aide's and family's requests and pleas for comfort meds on the last day of our Mom's life - until the hospice nurse forcefully confronted Misty. Misty actually threatened to kick me out of the building that day, when I reported our mom in distress.) In the days preceding Mom's death, when she could no longer swallow, the hospice nurse left specific orders to quit force-feeding her because it caused her to aspirate. Misty overruled that order and told her staff to continue - resulting in painful episodes of Mom choking and vomiting. The reason I'm not leaving a single star on this review is that to Corporate Wingate's credit, when their leaders found out about Misty's actions, they took the matter extremely seriously. The VP Chris Stack responded immediately - reassuring our family that Wingate as a company was not anti-hospice, and that the entire staff at Wingate would undergo extensive training so that this situation would never happen again. The Exec. Director Vincent Messina, to his credit, was also immediately receptive to hospice training for Misty and his staff. Last bit of advice - for families looking specifically for Memory Care - I would suggest you look at the Wingate Blackstone facility nearby instead. It's recently renovated, has two levels of memory care, and has a proper medical director/doctor on site.

I witnessed horrifying scenarios daily there, and called my friends to come rescue me but after my roommate called and threatened the administrator with legal action, they visited me and responded to my complaints... I was convinced to stay the last five days so I could be discharged with the so-called home care package of in-home follow up therapy visits for my recovery because if I had left early, I would've gone home against doctors orders and been denied that Health service. I don't even know if it was worth it at this point because of how it felt to be in there... I just experienced another terrible episode of bad Healthcare at the Elmhurst facility at 50 Maude St. in Providence but as bad as that place was, Lincolnwood was much worse. Stay far away.

Victoria Court is blessed to have her as the "face" for Victoria Court. Since she is the first person one usually sees when they enter your lovely facility or speak to on the telephone, she has a great responsibility to portray Victoria Court in the best light. She does an extremely exemplary job in her role. From my first introduction to her, I was impressed by her demeanor, which was so kind, genuine, and patient. I immediately felt reassured that our mother was in good hands. I am beyond touched by her ability to embrace and welcome everyone who approaches her, including the residents, as well as, visitors and staff. She is truly a beautiful and pure soul! I hope and pray that Anna will always be a constant at Victoria Court. I also want to commend the entire staff for the excellent care our mother receives each and every day. They are a dedicated group who go above and beyond to guarantee our mother's care is exceptional. Thank you to each and every one of you! The warm feeling you get when you walk through the front doors makes you feel at home. Victoria Court doesn't have a locked unit or a hallway of memory care seperated from the assisted living side. The whole building is memory care and they have that freedom in thier home. The expect there employees to work like robots by working on there day off as well as dictate when they can have their paid vacation and if an associate does not want to work on their day off they are met with snide comments by some of the management staff. The third shift CNA to resident ratio I feel is not safe , often 1 CNA to either 90 or 42 along with other duties that are expected to be done like residents personal laundry, facility linen's, unit cleaning, safety checks, rounds, as well as personal care, the amount of work expected to be done and the pay that is given isn't fair and how can someone who is working a unit alone be expected to take a break??? Yet the 30 minutes is still deducted either way. In my opinion they only care about filling rooms and not take into consideration resident and staff safety and the only ones who benefit are those who are in management. The scheduler they have Working there is condescending , abusive, and an out right bully and have text messages to prove it. There are much bigger problems that are there and from what I had seen was there before I was hired there and will continue to be there. The bullying that is allowed there was so bad that I felt it best for me to remove myself from the facility. I wouldn't put a loved one there

The owners of Visiting Angles refused to amend the clause in any way to also protect my elderly parent. Very discouraging. My elder lawyer advised not signing it. Be careful. There can be predatory care givers out there and accidents happen and under the language of the contract, your loved one would be responsible.
