Helping Hands Herbals is an outstanding dispensary. Trust me, I have shopped around, both for fun and for medical purposes and have found another reason to visit Boulder. It is a little hard to find, it's down a doorway next to the gelato shop. I saw the sandwhich board which let me down the hall to a little waiting area with a beautiful fish tank. The dispensary is on the small side but its totally unpretentious and theres no attitude, just very nice staff. i'll trade a "groovy lounge area" in some hip dispensary for a great store with positive vibes anyday! Inside you can see right away all the beautious nugs that are organically grown. The strains are cured nicely and have the perfect moisture content which helps get a smooth and tasty smoke and good flavor. I am a big fan of their Sativa selection, especially the Al's Dream which I think is my favorite. Almost psychedelic, very uppity, clear, and heightened visuals. Also enjoy the Chernobyl. Super nice and so crystally I've never seen anything like it. The staff is also the best! Fun, helpful, and friendly in a real kind way - even when it's very busy, which is often. I recommend Helping Hands to all of my friends and if they go to recreational I will recommend it to visitors too! read more

I've shopped Helping Hands medical before but since my Red Card expired I've been shopping at their Recreational store, which, convenient for me is right upstairs from their medical shop. So, I didn't need any change in my longstanding weed shopping habits, but it would be worth it even if I had to go across town. The Rec shop has a great festive vibe with a lot of windows and light and a lot more space than the downstairs which is much more "cozy" but still works. The staff is new to me but they've been really great and have picked up all the info about the strains and my needs which are still "medical" even though I'm shopping at a rec shop. It's been nice to feel the same sweet vibe and have access to the same organic strains as when I was shopping medical. Plus, now I've been able to shop with visiting friends and relatives from out of State who have never been in a dispensary before. It's worth the extra tax money I have to pay just to watch my Aunt walk into a store that sells marijuana when she's spent most of her days trying to keep her kids from smoking pot. Anyhow, Rec shop is great and if you're visiting from out of town or a local even, I still recommend it, even more "highly". read more

I recently relocated from San Diego to Boulder. . .and am excited to be doing some local yelping (and eating)! I'd like to give my first shout-out . . .to one of the first businesses I found in Boulder. . . and one that really has helped set the tone for my new hometown. The staff at Helping Hands is the best. . . I'm new to marijuana due to health reasons and am still getting my feet wet . . . and feeling respected and comfortable is very important to me. . . and they have exceeded my needs in every way. Helping me find which strains or "med"ibles are right for me, always making sure that their recommendations have worked. . . always making sure I leave happy. Coming from California, I've had my share of exposure to "cannabis culture" but these folks raise the bar. . . I think their strains change each week, but, since I'm supposed to give something specific, I really enjoy their Purple Kush which puts me to bed snug and sound night after night. Best bud/price in Boulder IMO. The herb is some of the best I've had in Boulder and the price is perfect. I went to one dispensary that wanted $60 for an 1/8 of the same herb Helping Hands had for $40 1/8. They also have a daily $30 1/8. Check out their sister store too The Bud Depot... its open late 10:00am-9:45pm in Lyons, Co. The staff is amazing. Great Recreational Dispensary! Another dispensary in boulder that has good quality marijuana. They seem to specialize in strains that aren't that common, which is a nice change! All the strains I have tried from here have been great! Good potency and good quality! The deals keep me coming back!
