Yes it is the correct company. I was moving from an Edina address. Hire a helper which contracts you took my deposit. Then your company never showed up because of a "flat tire" for 2 hours. 1. The truck showed up at 3:38pm when it was supposed to arrive at 1:30pm. That single fact affected the entire day because that meant I no longer had 3 people for the job. A lot of the time, there were only 2 movers working causing huge delays since one of the movers had to leave at 5:08 pm to get to a class. I hired movers because I am 52 years old and my boyfriend is 55 years old and we are too old to move heavy furniture which we ultimately had to do anyway due to the lack of preparedness and professionalism. This caused severe physical and emotional duress for me as I was working alongside your movers from 1:15pm until well after 9pm. Please note that they didn't even start loading furniture into the truck until well after 5pm which was the opposite to what was discussed. I do understand that the mover who left did return after his class and you joined us because you knew the severity of the situation. 2. One of your employees arrived smelling strongly of marijuana and was obviously under the influence throughout the move. We also witnessed him smoking in his car throughout the moving process. 3. The movers came unprepared without materials such as moving blankets or padding for furniture. They did have shrink wrap, but I had to continually ask them to wrap things 2 or 3 times and sometimes didn't even use. 4. I bought mattress bags for all of our mattresses and they neglected to use for one of the mattresses causing it to get dirty during transportation. 5. Mattresses and furniture were dropped down the stairs with complete disregard or respect for my home or belongings. One of the times after a piece of furniture left a deep gouge in the wall and the mover's response was "That's ok, not a big deal. She has insurance for that." I continually asked them to be careful and expressed my concern for how they were handling my belongings. They disregarded my requests. 6. One of the movers continually moved things using a 2-wheel cart and regularly dropped the items on the asphalt driveway such as 3 headboards at one time and dropped them all on the pavement, custom made bean bag boards, nightstands, etc. 7. My items were recklessly thrown on the truck on top of other items without any protection or blankets causing severe damage to my belongings. 8. I had to ultimately hire someone else to finish the job with the remaining furniture I had stored in the Eden Prairie garage. I did not trust your crew to finish the job as they pretty much damaged every piece of furniture they handled. 9. I had a few items that were damaged that were very sentimental to me. One of them was the piano. You agreed to move the piano, but the movers were ill-equipped to handle the job and refused to wear moving straps (my boyfriend brought his set) to aide in the process even though we suggested it multiple times. The result is that my piano that I value greatly is severely damaged and I am heartbroken about it. No response to resolve the issue once I requested to submit a claim. Used them last Saturday and was very impressed. They were great, polite, friendly, professional and detailed, we shook hands upon arrival. Very happy with them and I am not so easy to please, many scars I have. They are "keepers ". Nobody shakes hands anymore, especially the youngsters but they do. Wonderful!. read more

The negative review is not due to their moving service. I scheduled a move one month in advance, had a few questions about different options, and two days before my move they informed me that they possibly couldn't accommodate my move anymore as the schedule was too full. The negative review is because there was not even an apology or any sort of communication after. I understand mistakes happen but a reply to my calls or texts would have been better than completely ignoring them. We had a big move and Helping Hands Movers came through in all ways. They were prompt, worked really hard to move a 5 bedroom 4 bath house with a ton of stuff and were great people to work with.
