Double checked with South Metro Movers the week before the move to confirm everything. We were told everything was set and ready. Two days before our move, we got a call saying they had double booked themselves and would be sending us to another moving company but the price quoted us would be the same. Guess what? The price was NOT the same! We were charged $718 more. When we tried to contact SSM to get answers, they conveniently didn't answer their phone, and the voicemail was full and so we could not leave a message. Wondering if this is a SCAM they work out with the other company and split the extra amount we had to pay? Be wary!

During the move, they were extra careful with my furniture. They made sure it didn't bump into any walls while loading and they safely loaded fragile items into the truck without any issues. They even provided extra padding for furniture I did not think to cover up which was nice! I expected the whole process to take about 5 days but they got to the destination in 3 days and quickly unloaded my stuff into the garage. Only con about this company is that it is still new so some parts of the process feel less fleshed out. For example, maybe marking all of my stuff with an ID and including a checklist so that when they get to the destination, there can be a checklist to mark off all of the inventory. That way, it provides reassurance for the customer that all of their stuff made it. Despite them being a new company, they were great to work with and made things as straightforward as possible. I definitely recommend anyone in the twin cities to contact them for their moving services! The price was definitely fairly priced for what I was asking on a short notice so that was a plus! We had a crucial deadline that needed to be met in under thirteen days, we had to get everything…read moremoved out of our place and into the new place by the beginning of this month. It was due to conflicting schedules with my roommate's work and school timing so that in order to begin our lease earlier than anticipated we would have to move in earlier also. Thankfully we were able to reach out to these guys and they helped us make that huge dilemma of ours into a simplified and easy move. We had to move north about six hundred miles and were considering all of the possible things that could have happened to our stuff on the way. Thankfully this company had accounted for that and they had several different types of crates, boxes, and even insurance deals to help us get over our doubts and fears. All of the electronics were packed neatly next to each other while the clothing were all folded and neatly layered in the crates.  It took us about four days or less just to get everything packed up, labeled up all of the boxes and carried the furniture out into the trucks from the house. After that it was all up to the movers to get the things shipped into our new place by the end of the following week, they told us this would be no issue. Fortunately enough, the movers did exactly as they promised and had our things delivered in under seventy two hours, expedited shipping was also very cheap compared to other places. Definitely give them a call for a helping hand in moving.

I decided to write about the positive experience I had with Piepho. To start with, we were moving cross country and our little one bedroom apartment did not have much stuff, on getting quotes from other movers, we realized that the weights assigned were as per some internal software and was adding many many extra pounds and inturn $$$$s to our quote. We spoke to Paul from Piepho who came over, and gave us a quote on the spot after personally valuating our stuff, which was a relief since our couch did NOT weight 350lbs as what was quoted by the other vendors. Closer to the move, we were handed over to the move co-ordinator and almost everything went as clockwork. The two man loading team showed up, tagged and loaded the stuff, while they gave us an estimate of 5-14 days for the move, we were pleasantly surprised to receive a call from the truck driver 6 days after our stuff left home. He fixed a time with me and sure enough there was an unloading team that came with the truck to unload and place the items in the rooms that I requested them to do so. They were efficient and courteous, and I really liked the fact that they first rolled out carpets onto the wooden floors so as not to damage the flooring. They unloaded, signed and left as quickly as they came.

He offered me $500 to delete this review. These people are trash. They didn't bring equipment. They quote you the lowest price so you lock them in, and then they screw you by up charging you 100-200%. My final bill was 2700 - from an original $900 quote. These kids are in high school and losers. They threatened legal action - bring it. Pricing is absolutely insane. They show up and jack up your estimate by at least 100% (exactly what happened).
