Oct6,2025-Dec 16,2025 I only leave reviews for exceptionally good service or extremely poor service. My experience with this shop was by far the worst I have ever received. Total of 11 weeks. Most of that time it was just sitting outside. Todd is like a Mad Scientist, very knowledgeable and HE DID WORK WITH MY WARRANTY COMPANY. But the communication with this shop is very poor. Mike lied to me about parts on backorder that was available from Newmar ( I checked myself and the part was much cheaper). My unit sat on the lot for weeks, phones calls were not returned so I would show up at the shop. Parts I supplied to be installed were not in stalled nor were they given back. After I called Tood and asked he told me he thought they were the wrong parts. He never looked, they were the correct parts. So I had to drive 35 miles back to pickup my parts and installed them myself. I paid to have them winterize because temps were dropping. I hope and pray the work was done correctly. Everything they fixed is still broke or leaking like windshield isn't in right. Toilet is broke. The ac is leaking when rain. Slide out pump lines still leak. Batteries were not even hand tightened. When brought home. 2000 dollars for them to damage my bus. By improper install. HORRABLE!!! read more

My Sprinter motorhome gets all its Mercedes needs covered by Helmkamp which is hard to find.

Took our rv in to have it dewinterized for the season and gone through to be proactive on maintenance. The RV sat all winter yet started right up when I took it there, yet they called and said we needed new batteries wouldnt start for them. Got new batteries. We asked to fix our canopy because a wind came and go it out of line, DID not do it, took her on our first trip and learned that they didnt even de-winterize it either. All the water lines were left open, they left lights and other things on which caused a battery drain that I found 2 weeks before we went camping and finally retraced everything to correct what they did that was killing our new battery. This is the second year we have used this company and the last. Last year they didnt do what we asked either. NO more chances. They have serious issues with being detailed. read more

Charged us $235 for a part they lost. Not happy. Took two days to get work done, too. Not happy. Be careful when you use this place. They don't play fair. Will never go back or recommend to anyone. read more

This place charged us $1300.00 to help us diagnose why our water in our RV was not getting hot. I understand they had time in diagnosing what was wrong but that is RIDICULOUS!!!! I do not recommend them. Do yourself a favor and go somewhere else!! I have NEVER been charged that much even by the dealership! WOW is all I have to say... I had a cv axile replaced, although it was a difficult removal, they charged me $979.00 for the repairs. I will never return there. I suspect they had a young mech logging time while the lead mech figured out the course. Not happy, Not happy. Panels on the bottom of car incorrectly installed too. read more

We were loaded up with a baby, 5 yo, and dog when our camper brakes weren't working. We called Helmkamps and they were so accommodating, as soon as we pulled in someone was out to help. They tested the brakes and made sure we were safe to get back on the road. We really appreciated the help. read more

Literally deserve ZERO stars. Brought my truck in for an alignment. They told me it was done on Wednesday, went to pick up on Friday. Tried to charge me $500 for an alignment. He called my 25,000$ duramax a piece of crap. Refused to give us a receipt. AND when I left the alignment is now 100 times WORSE and both tires knock when I barely turn the truck. Worse business and customer service by the guy, will be called BBB as well. read more

My transmission went out in my truck a couple years ago and I took it to this place to get an estimate. Their price was double the price I was quoted from the 2 other shops I got quotes from. read more

took truck in for a gas leak "estimate only" , they replaced the gas tank without approval stating they dont have time to take it up and off the lift. They stole 900 and some from us.. do not take your vehicles there. D o not trust the father on anything that comes out of his mouth.. read more
