I have only visited this store in Mississauga a few times. I didn't realize that STC had one, so I dropped by to check it out. This store has a lot of cute and practical Japanese and Korean merchandise. It appealed to me. I especially like when you get a product that is both cute and practical. For instance, you could get Angie the booklight. Angie happens to be a purple anglerfish that allows you to read in darker areas. I also liked a bacon mousepad. It was adorable! There were beauty products, such as eyeshadow, hairbands, and facial masks. The prices were pretty good considering the assortment of shades that you got in the former. The selection of hairbands was limited. The facial mask varieties were excellent. This store had a lot of plushies. You can get boba ones in a variety of colours. They were cute and sweet. It also had the cutest PopSockets. The characters on them were rather large, so it may not appeal to everyone. I ended up getting a purple boba tumbler that was heavily discounted. The fact that it had a diamond-cut lid and was purple drew me in to buying it. The price was also right. I had a friendly woman at the checkout. She advised that sale items were final, so exchanges or refunds weren't allowed. I understood this policy, as I had checked that my tumbler was in good shape before I committed to buying it. I paid with a debit card. All went well. My tumbler is pretty cool. It's cute and it keeps cold drinks cold for many hours. I enjoyed shopping at this store. It's deadly if you like cute, practical items. I may need to return and get that bacon mousepad because it's so adorable. (344)

One of their most well known products is the Canadian ginseng which comes in many forms (whole, sliced, tea) and sizes. A lot of the ginseng is in pretty gift boxes that make really good presents, though quite pricey! This was my first time actually buying unprocessed ginseng for myself and a package of the sliced ginseng was $120. I was helped by one of the staff that suggested several ways for me to use the ginseng and also provided a sheet with recipes (which was in Chinese). Other items I noticed around the store were various vitamins and essential oils and more traditional Chinese type dried goods like sea cucumbers and even swallow's nest. They accept both cash and credit card.

I am so upset I am writing this review. I have been a very loyal Evergreen customer for many years…read more It is likely the grocery/health food store I spend the most at monthly (probable 400$+). I have received great advice and been happy to spend my hard earned money there. Today I went in with my 2 and 5yr old girls. It is always challenging as it is a very small store and the grocery carts provided have no seat for my 2 yr old. I decided after a first failed attempt at going in for our weekly pick up (my 2yr old began running up the aisle next to the shoping cart) that I would bring my umbrella stroller to strap her in and avoid disrupting the store. This meant having all of my purchases in a hand basket. The basket tipped over out my stroller and a jar off mayonnaise broke on the floor. I cleaned it all on my hands and knees with no help from the staff even getting several pieces in my fingers with no concern from them. Now this isn't what I am upset about. I was repeatedly apologetic, my 5 yr old felt terrible and kept apologizing too and when they ran my order thru and I was paying (literally they are running my debit card) they said "we added the cost of an extra jar of mayo on your bill because of the accidentl". "But it was an accident, we cleaned it all up, are you serious!!?" yup. The customers in line spoke up about how disgusted they were. I too am disgusted that they would throw my loyal business out and treat their regulars in such a manner for 5$! I am never returning. There are plenty of natural food stores on our street who have way more respect for their customers! when asked about talking to Nash the owner the response was "you can take it up with him when he returns from Europe...in three weeks". amazing customer service! I think not.

That's exactly why Pacific Mall is composed of 40% cellphone accessory stores, 30% bubble tea assembly lines, and 30% Chinese herbal shops - I also guarantee the last one pushes the most $$$ volume per quarter, by far. Uncle Bill is a well-known and trusted dealer for all your weird and wacky herbal needs, from sea cucumbers to bird's nest to ginseng, and those are all just the common ones. They're going to have 10+ varieties of each, sourced from 5+ countries, and this will all affect the price and "quality" drastically, though you won't know exactly why. Trust the mom/aunt/grandmother that inevitably wanted to come here, and just swipe when the quality control and haggling process is over. They are happy and you will get to (have to) drink the resulting concoction from the day's shopping trip (the latter may be a very good or very bad thing). Credit? Yes, over $30. They've actually switched to a computerized POS system, which is rare considering the super traditional cash-is-king niche. Even more surprising is that Uncle Bill's joined Vicinity Rewards - yes, the same program as Chatime. Very much like seeing a grandpa doing Hotline Bling. Only instead of one free drink with the purchase of ten, we're talking minimum spend of $500 to get $5. Don't ask, just do it, we all do silly things for the people we love. TIP - Even though there is an illusion of choice, all seven (no hyperbole) of the Uncle Bill's in PMall are owned by the same person, so there's no point in shopping around unless you're certain you're comparing between different brands.
