Chowrasta Chicken 65 Biryani
Derrick D.

My go to place for biryani Momi Indian kitchen recently closed and moved to Seattle so I was on lookout for a new place here up north. I came across Hello India and got their Chowrasta Chicken 65 Biryani. This was an amazing biryani with sufficient quantity. It also had a bone in chicken piece (which I'm not sure if it's expected or not) in addition to the creamy chicken 65 Biryani. The rice and chicken were both flavorful and the quantity is enough for 2x times. I did find it a bit on the pricier side with regular pack cost of $20.87 after tax. I hope they keep the size of the biryani the same and look at reducing the price to be competitive with other places around. Overall a must try and will likely repeat.

I have been a regular customer here ever since it's opened. Unlike other Indian places, this is tucked away in an area which is not busy. They specialized on South Indian delicacies. The food is always great here. Variety of options on their menu. Appetizers and curries are delicious. They do have a limited tiffin option as well. I have tried almost all their biriyani options. Extremely happy with the food I must say. I have dined in here with family, friends and colleagues. Ambiance is really cool. Sometimes the wait time is long especially during weekends. The staffs are very friendly. But only challenge is - they are understaffed; noticed on many occasions that they were not able to manage everything when this place is packed. Something they could improve. A highly recommended Indian place in Everett / Mill Creek area!

Garlic Naan

Came in right before closing at lunch time and the staff was kind enough to let me in. I ordered Garlic Naan bread, butter chicken and basmati rice. The server brought out a basket of utensils, napkins and a bottled water. The butter chicken was flavorful, not salty. Garlic naan was plenty. Portions were more than enough, I took the remaining home after eating. The server was very attentive, checking in on me.

Very disappointing experience. I ordered idli early this morning from Hello India, and unfortunately we found a fly in the sambar. This is extremely unhygienic and unacceptable, especially for a restaurant serving food to customers. Cleanliness and food safety should be a basic standard. This incident has completely put us off from ordering here again.

Garlic naan

We stopped by for lunch there today(Friday around noon). We ordered the chicken tikka, chicken kurma, and garlic naan. The food was exceptional! Came out hot and noticeably more fresh than other spots we have been to. The sauces had so many fresh herbs that you could see and taste. Truly delicious. Friendly service. Ambiance could maybe use a little worl but the food is so good...who cares? We have found our new spot for our Indian fix.

Overall, the food was nice. However, the dish was a bit off at times due to an overwhelming amount of curry patta (leaves), which tended to overpower the other spices.

Food was great. We ordered chilli chicken, bezawada panner biryani & chilli soya chaap. All were yummy. Strongly recommend this restaurant to try.

Dosa is done, but I'm still waiting for Sambhar.

Best Tikka Masala I've been able to find , and I've tried every restaurant within 10 miles! This will be my new take-out place for sure!

The meat was tender and the spices were excellent. The wine had a unique flavor that paired nicely with the meal. The ambiance was nice as they had TV screens displaying a warm fireplace. The portion sizes and prices were good. We've been looking for an Indian place that has quality food and a pleasant atmosphere. This is it. We are definitely coming back.

It offers an extensive menu, and for what you pay, the portions are very generous! Our favorite dishes are the mango curry, lamb vindaloo, and the classics like butter chicken and tikka masala. We always order some form of appetizer. We have had the samosas as well as the hummus and tabouleh, and everything has been delectable! I always order their baba Ganoush. The smoky, roasted eggplant is savory and has great depth to the flavor profile. Our other favorite is the garlic naan. It is seasoned to perfection and roasted beautifully! Another thing I appreciate is they offer a spice level for your order. Spicy is a relative term, so I appreciate having a range to work with. 5 Rivers recently renovated their dining area, and it is very beautiful and clean. Service is always friendly, too. Overall we are very happy to have found such a gem nearby!

They were careful about my gluten allergy and had plenty of options. Nikki was our server and she was friendly. Our group tried Indo-Chinese and they loved everything. I tried the peshawari chicken. It was nice and creamy. Nikki did tell us that it was only one big piece of chicken which was helpful because we were ordering family style. We still ended up ordering it because the rest had Indo-Chinese (not GF). I'd be back to try some other things on their menu.

I love the music playing in the background, and the Mumbai themed décor is so unique and thoughtfully done. It really adds to the whole experience. Coming to the food, I specifically went for the happy hour chaat platter. I reached around 6:56 PM, and the platter is only available from 5 to 7 PM. Initially, I could not find it on the menu, and our assigned server was different. However, Rohan recognized us from our previous visits and came over. When I mentioned I was there just for the chaat platter, he kindly checked and found the menu for us. He let us know it would take about 20 minutes to prepare, which we were completely fine with. The platter arrived in about 20 to 25 minutes, and it was absolutely worth the wait. Everything from the bhel puri, pav bhaji bites, samosa chaat, to the sandwich was delicious, flavorful, and very satisfying. The chai was also really good. Highly recommend this place for both the vibe and the food. We will definitely keep coming back.

I was able to enjoy the buffet. :) The food is where I have very mixed feelings. For 22 dollars, it's pricy. 28 USD with a 20% tip. Cheaper than other restaurants that do 20 USD an item. Tandori Chicken - A bit salty. Decent. Rice - Nice and warm. Not overcooked or undercooked. Vegetarian Coconut Curry - Mixed feelings. It's average and feels like its missing something. Maybe sugar? Chicken Tikka Malasa - No complaints! It was very tasty!! Paneer Saag - Tasted great at first but tasted progressively bitter. Was it because I drank water?? Kneer (Rice Pudding) - Tasty, but I wished it was a bit thicker. It was enjoyable!! This was my experience. I'll try again eventually. ;)
