It is extremely disheartening to have to share my experience with Diane. I first contacted Diane on 2/17 for an event I am hosting on 6/22. It is for my daughter's Dia de los Muertos themed birthday party. As a professional Graphic Designer I am extremely picky and do my research before booking anything. I was so excited by Diane's portfolio and love supporting local small business owners. I had been extremely clear and straight forward with the event Date, Time, Location and services wanted. The event starts at 2:00 PM (estimating around 2 hours for 15 kids). I was also very clear in stating that I wanted myself, my daughter and my sister to be painted beforehand (so a total of 3 hours). Diane quoted me $200, and asked to send me the invoice for my deposit so I could secure my spot. I couldn't have been more excited to get a huge check off my list. I had some hesitations moving forward because after confirming everything, I received a calendar request reflecting the wrong times, and even had the location set at Cobblestone Auto Wash. I contacted her right away to have the information corrected. As for someone who is extremely detailed with absolutely everything, this set off the first red flag (which I wish I would have listed to). Fast forward to 6/14 and I receive a cancellation email. I contacted her immediately confirming the event was still on. She then begins to tell me that she is sorry but she double booked. She was still able to book me, however she told me that she would need to send someone else since she double booked. I'm sorry but I booked almost 4 months ago, my event should take priority since I specifically asked for Diane based on her portfolio. (2nd red flag) Again, based on her reviews and portfolio I was still trying to feel optimistic. The event is this weekend, and asked for confirmation on all details. She finally got back to me this evening (3 days later) and still had the incorrect time, and now the price raised to $320. Never ONCE did this price point ever come up during previous conversations. Even after sending multiple screen shots with the quote and services desired from February she chose to disregard everything with such a crude tone. As a small business owner myself, I am completely aware that mistakes happen. But at some point you have to take ownership of your mistakes and take it as a lesson learned and honor them. It is just good business practice that should be expected. There is absolutely no way I could work with someone so disorganized. Unfortunately I will not be using her services for this event or have her on my preferred vendors list for future events. read more

Wow ! how does she do it? She takes about 5 minutes , a load of colors and you end up with a personalized , stylized gorgeous picture. It looked like she waved a magic wand and magically made it happen! My daughter was thrilled and went home and promptly took a picture so she could remember how beautiful it looked. read more

Dianne is amazing. AH MAY ZING. You have no idea the absolute amazingness and awesomeness that come out of her brush. From a black/red biker chick rose on my bicep to a crab fighting a shark on a small child to an out of this world T-rex on my friend's cheek, she does some of the best freehand facepainting I have ever seen. Not only that, but she has an excellent presence, and is sweet, kind, and good with both adults and children. Plus, she had glitter! I was incredibly impressed with her, and wished that I was having my wedding in AZ. If so, I'd definitely hire her to add a little sparkle (pun totally intended) to our special day. read more

Awesome! It is sooo much fun for me to take part in activities that make me feel like a kid again! Honestly if acting child-like could be considered a hobby, I'd say it's my favorite hobby! That being said, this artist made me feel like a beautiful little girl all over again! She was so sweet and so swift with her painting! Wow! She painted my face up like a sugar skull and added extra glitter - to make it extra sugary, she said. I felt like I was a kid again, even though I don't even remember ever having my face painted as a child. I thought the paint would be greasy and easily rub off, but this stuff dried! Dianne did an amazing job at my Son's B-day Party! Really professional and nice with the kids. she came from Tempe to Avondale and kids and parents were impressed with the designs she did. Buzz light year and woody, butter flies and flowers, spider mans, hello kitties, you name it.... One tip for the organizers of the party: do not keep kids in line!
