Dropped by during my Calgary trip…read more Was a nice walk from downtown and I was boiled from the heat - so the AC here saved me lol. Place was clean and welcoming - old school diner vibes in my opinion. Waitress was super friendly - offered ice water right away as she noticed I was sweating my life away. I wasn't overly hungry, so just tried out some happy hour snacks - the salty peppery chicken was just right - nice crisp and flavour - Lemon pepper wings were a bit to lemony for me - however overall was still quite nice. The lost star went to the drink - Brown sugar oat, already anticipated this to be sweet - so I already went 50% - however even then, wayy too sweet. there was bits where it tasted like there was crystalized sugar in your mouth. I'd visit again to explore the menu if I find myself in Calgary again.

We got a kiwi/avocado and a taro, both of which were delicious. Tasted very fresh and the taro root tasted earthy and more like true taro root (I would imagine) than other boba places I have been to. Drinks were made to order after we put the orders in and were ready to go quickly. They also have daily lunch specials (most of those are meat-containing and we usually eat vegetarian) but the value for those looks good. Small shop wedged into a corner on the street with several other boba places in the immediate area - don't miss out! Would definitely come back here if in the area again.

Hi Tea is super small. It has been around for a long time. Even before Chatime. They have takeout food as well. They have a lunch special every day. I highly recommend getting that. I will definitely go back for their bubble tea or bubble waffle. It is located in an area surrounded by 6 or 7 bubble tea shops. Hi-Tea along with 3 other neighboring bubble tea stores open late.

We tried the chrysanthemum milk tea, passionfruit basil green tea, lychee coconut slush, and green milk tea. Next time I'd definitely going to ask for less sugar for my drink, but the flavors were all excellent. Each drink comes with black tapioca pearls or jelly included in the price, which is a nice touch. They accept cash only, and the service was quick and efficient. We paid around $31 for four drinks. The interior is also really cute, decorated with cute little knickknacks and trinkets. Would definitely recommend if you're craving boba.

I can tell he is very "meticulous" and it shows in the taste, texture, and experience of the Bobas inside the drink itself. Sure, the drinks should be tasty but if the Boba is off even a little, it takes a lot away from the experience. My 2nd time was off when he was absent. If you are very meticulous in the Bobas by themselves, you got to try this neat place, but try to coincide w/ the slim owner working. Cheers to a wonderful Boba Tea Shop!!!!

The location itself doesn't have a ton of accessible parking, as there are only some at the rear, but it's totally worth it. The cafe is very clean and cute, which is such a great spot for families and couples. We will definitely be coming back as this just gave me real bad cravings for milktea. I have never gave out a 2 piece before since I believe no one ever deserves it, so this is a first. Their bubbletea is not what you expect. It tastes like old frozen fruit, and yes believe me you can tell. The milk tea doesn't not taste like milk tea, it's like old powdered milk tea you would buy at tnt. Overall bubbletea score is a 2.5/5 for me. If you want appetizers though, Jus Fruit isn't bad, their takoyaki is a bit pricy but it's pretty yummy, doesn't have that flavour explosion in your mouth like authentic Japanese restaurants but for what's there it is good. Overall appetizers score 4/5.
