The store front (distant centre) is separate from the dinning area (entrance on the left).

This was a slightly surreal experience. Good soup in a strange setting. I was in town and looked for a place to have a bowl of Bun Bo Hue. It just so happened that nearby was a deli by that name so feeling this wasn't coincidental, I stopped in. It's not obvious where to go so I accidentally walked into a cell phone store which was directly below the outdoor signage. Don't make that mistake. For the deli, just go in the main doors. Once there, you will see the storefront and counter about half way in the tiny mall. I stood in line with all of these people holding pots. I was confused and thought I was missing something but the owner saw me, took my order and told me to sit down. Where? The site front barely held 3 people. He pointed back toward the hallway. I found there was a dining area across the hallway completely separate from the storefront. It was a strange set up to say he least. While I waited for my bowl, I watched people coming and going with pots from home. After some time I caught on that these people were getting to-go but in bulk! I've never seen anything like to before. I've seen single serving orders but why not sell it a pot at a time? Makes sense. When the bowl came out, what was most noticeable was the meat. Every piece was huge and well cooked. It was a filling bowl even if it wasn't the best Bub Bo Hue I've ever had. For the soup, I would give it 3.5. The crazy experience adds a half star for sure.

Was told about this place by a Vietnamese friend whose mum recommended it to her - always a good start. I've never been to the store itself, but have had their bun bo hue that you can buy for takeout. How it works is that you bring a stockpot to fill with soup and they will ask you how much you want. We got $30 worth which I think they tell you will feed 6 people, but it is a LOT of food; 3 of us ate maybe a quarter of the amount given. You walk away with everything you need for bun bo hue at home: broth, noodles, meat, garnishes, etc. The broth is delicious and is really the star of the soup. I don't claim to know what authentic bun bo hue tastes like, but this was very tasty and complex and not just spicy. I thought the broth was pale in comparison to version of this soup that I've tried before but don't let it fool you, the chili oil that you add in is very spicy and you don't need very much. The nice thing about their soup is that the spiciness is not just all heat, but a lot of flavour as well. Definitely recommend as a great takeout option, especially if you have a large group! And it's nice that you don't need to call ahead, pots of soup are always available for takeout.

The restaurant was pretty spacious and not very busy on a Saturday late afternoon. The place however was a little warm inside, maybe the AC wasn't working as they had some fans on. We ordered the vermicelli dish and pad Thai as the staff told us it was their most popular dish. The pad Thai was indeed one of our favorite. It had a unique smoky flavor to it. We also ordered the pho and eggplant dish. The pho had a surprisingly rich flavor. I would definitely recommend the pho. Overall we were very pleased with our meal and left full with hardly any left overs.

Being a vegetarian, I have had a hard time getting pho that's flavorful but the chefs here have magic in their hands, they have put so much heart and effort in packing so much flavor in their broths! I had the Sate Tofu Noodle Soup, ah can't get the taste out of my head!! Such richness, the freshness of the house made tofu paired with soft rice noodles was just beyond perfection!! The Pad Thai was also delicious: it missed one thing: crushed peanuts which we usually get at Thai restaurants. The restaurant has a very calm and peaceful auto to it!!! Full of large plants and a meditation area, it's a nice getaway from the corporate hustle outside. The place closes at 8, so reach early.
