Entered into contract for a covered and screened in deck with DH Project and Construction on…read more4/26/22. On 8/4/22 he visited with another contractor to help explain that he underbid the project and would need an additional 30% even though he was already paid a deposit on a signed contract. Agreed and paid this new amount. Project is still not complete a year and 3 months later even though he has been paid in full in installments. Have been more than patient but now he is not returning communication at all. The deck ceiling is now falling apart before the project is even complete. Pictures of this incomplete deck are being used in the business profile. All I am asking for is completion of the work or a partial refund to cover another contractor completing the work.

Had them install an aluminum fence in our back yard. Extremely poor work quality. Loose posts and a…read moredouble gate that was falling down a few days after it was installed. The fence itself looks bad because sections of it are really high off the ground. Had to have them send someone to fix the loose posts and try to reset the gate but not sure how long the fixes will last. Doubtful the fence will last very long. Buyer beware!

I'm president of our HOA. We hired Mills to put up a decorative fence at our entrance. Before…read moreinstalling the fence they sent out someone to locate utilities twice. They were made aware of our sprinkler system and supposedly knew where the system was located so it wouldn't be damaged. It even has electronic wires so it's easy to find with a metal detector. When they came to install the fence, the first problem was they were installing the fence posts too close together. No measuring, just digging holes 5' apart that needed to be 7'. So I asked them to stop and do it correctly which they were not happy about but they did. The big problem was they broke through the water lines for the sprinkler system (that they came out twice to locate). Unfortunately We did not have anyone supervising the installers and they figured out where the system shutoff was and turned it off. Then they took a plastic soda bottle and wrapped it around the broken pipe I suppose in hope we wouldn't find their carelessness and deception. Later, When the sprinkler was turned on it spewed water all over and pushed dirt out of the hole. Mills was contacted and refused to do anything. We had to have a sprinkler company come out twice to fix the leaks. We asked Mills to deduct that cost from our bill but they would not. I can show pictures of this damage and attempted deception. This company is deceptive, arrogant and has no quality control. Do not use this company.

We called Newkirk's Home Repair to have a toilet installed. And am I glad we did! While reviewing…read morethe existing plumbing Matt discovered a couple of MAJOR issues that we weren't aware of because they were out of sight. Our tub drain under the house was disconnected and was dumping into our crawl space. Also, our existing plumbing was cast iron and upon further inspection Matt found that it was disintegrating. Although it was OK for the moment we decided that while he was down there to have it replaced with PVC. While I had him here he also replaced the drain under the bathroom sink because it was leaking and he tightened our toilet seat. Matt completed the job thoroughly, providing photos since I couldn't get under the house. He left everything in perfect working order. I found his pricing to be very competitive and affordable. He came out quickly to give a quote and was able to get to us very quickly once I accepted it. He stayed until the job was done and was very communicative from start to finish. Matt does most everything around the house so if you have repairs that you have been wanting to get done I highly recommend giving Newkirk's Home Repair LLC a call!
