Had them install an aluminum fence in our back yard. Extremely poor work quality. Loose posts and a double gate that was falling down a few days after it was installed. The fence itself looks bad because sections of it are really high off the ground. Had to have them send someone to fix the loose posts and try to reset the gate but not sure how long the fixes will last. Doubtful the fence will last very long. Buyer beware! read more

I'm president of our HOA. We hired Mills to put up a decorative fence at our entrance. Before installing the fence they sent out someone to locate utilities twice. They were made aware of our sprinkler system and supposedly knew where the system was located so it wouldn't be damaged. It even has electronic wires so it's easy to find with a metal detector. When they came to install the fence, the first problem was they were installing the fence posts too close together. No measuring, just digging holes 5' apart that needed to be 7'. So I asked them to stop and do it correctly which they were not happy about but they did. The big problem was they broke through the water lines for the sprinkler system (that they came out twice to locate). Unfortunately We did not have anyone supervising the installers and they figured out where the system shutoff was and turned it off. Then they took a plastic soda bottle and wrapped it around the broken pipe I suppose in hope we wouldn't find their carelessness and deception. Later, When the sprinkler was turned on it spewed water all over and pushed dirt out of the hole. Mills was contacted and refused to do anything. We had to have a sprinkler company come out twice to fix the leaks. We asked Mills to deduct that cost from our bill but they would not. I can show pictures of this damage and attempted deception. This company is deceptive, arrogant and has no quality control. Do not use this company. read more

Poor communication and planning. They came out back in January to look at a fence we wanted repaired. Only spent 5 minutes and sent us a quote to accept. After not hearing back from them for months, we called and they said someone will call to schedule, well weeks went by and nothing. We called again, and they finally came out in June to repair the fence, well barely repaired. Filled a big hole and a couple new rails but the fence still wasn't repaired. It still had bunch of holes in it and rusty. They still tried to charge us nearly 800$ worth when they barely repaired what they said they would when we got our quote. Waited 5 months for this so called repair that barely took 2 hours. I wish we would of went with someone else. We called for a break down of the bill since they just gave us a general quote. They said they don't do that. They even said the used part of our old fence to repair some of the holes and did not adjust the price. This place is a scam. I recommend going with someone else who actually cares and doesn't rip you off. read more

This review is very overdue. Last Spring, we had a windstorm that tore through our neighborhood and did quite a bit of damage. Among other things the winds brought down one entire side of our 6-foot privacy fence. At the same time, one of my close neighbors lost most of his fence of similar material. I had a few fence companies stop by to give estimates and several suggested that I needed to replace the entire fence and not just one long section as I had intended. With this in mind I recontacted my insurance company and had some hold ups due to them making a decision on whether they would okay this extra amount. Meanwhile, my neighbor had contacted some gentlemen that were going to tear out his fence and replace it for a very competitive price. I had approached these guys with the hopes that they would do the same job for me as my neighbor, however they were not interested. I did not realize how lucky that was for me at the time. The fence company that gave me the most cost effective quote was Mills Fence of Walton, KY. I had some conversations with them, and they were honest in saying that it would be several months before they could begin work on my fence. In fact,N it was the middle of August when my turn finally came up. They did a great job of tearing out the remains of my old fence and then began the task of setting new posts etc for the new fence. My installer's name was Alex and he was an obviously seasoned installer. He had a helper who was very quiet but both worked tirelessly. Alex was honest all through my installation which took several days. He had another job that he had started and told me that after setting my posts, he wanted to finish that job before returning to mine. Alex was true to his word and after another couple days my fence was completed. Let me say that it was well constructed and came out beyond my expectations. Years ago, my neighbor on one side had used Mills fence to attach to my old existing fence. Alex made sure that my new fence joined with theirs very nicely. Instead of three runners on each section they used 4. All of the components were of good quality and so was the construction. To my credit, I put a clear coat of good quality sealer on the entire fence before winter set in. Now a year later my fence still looks great. Meanwhile, my neighbors fence began sagging and leaning over the course of the change of season. Just last week he told me that he had to have his entire fence replaced after just one year. Needless to say, I am very happy that I waited for Mills Fence to do mine! read more

If I could give a negative rating, I would. Stay away from this fence company. I have been waiting on a gate for 3 months and continue to get the run around. They blame the delay on their vendor. They were supposed to come install our fence tomorrow. I hadn't heard from anyone, so I called today to see what time they would be coming. The guy tells me he's "backed up", and won't be coming...We called in April for an estimate and they came out May 14th (about 4 weeks later) then they scheduled to install the fence for July 28th. And now they aren't coming?? The guy said he'd call us when he's available. So you don't care to inconvenience us right?! You really have no idea how upsetting this is. You didn't even have the courtesy to call us. WE called YOU to find this out. How could you do this and not care???? Horrible company.... read more

I had my old fence tour down and a new privacy fence put up in its place, and they did an amazing job. I'm the envy of the neighborhood! And it was at a fantastic price and was done in such a timely manner it didn't even take them a week for everything and its so beautiful and sturdy I couldn't thank them enough!
